Elora POV Around 12 oâclock I got dressed, slipping on a gown that Silas had laid out for me.
âIs there a reason I am getting this dressed up?â I ask when I see Silas come out of the walk-in in a suit making words escape me. Matitus and Dragus also stepping out in suits.
âWell you are our Queen and it is a formal function so that means the kings and Queen need to be dressed proper, you only have to wear it till after the ceremony, then you can put your tights back onâ
Matitus says.
âCeremony?â
âYes Elora, this is a ceremonyâ
âWhat sort of ceremony?â when I see Darshan also dressed up as Dragus gets him from the cot.
âWell it is actually two ceremonies, one was a last minute decisionâ Dragus says as I hear a knock on the door. I open the door to see Abbie in a floor length purple gown.
âooh you look Queenlyâ She says before stepping in the room. She looks over at my mates.
âDamn you nearly scrub up as nice as Dakariâ She says. âNearlyâ She adds.
âYou have to say that he is your mateâ Matitus tells her as she rubs her growing bump. Abbie only had a week to go at most.
âSo everyone ready?â She asks. I nod not really sure whatâs going on, but I was definitely dressed for something as I look down at the white and gold gown corset style gown, it was so fitting and made my already big boobs bigger. Halfway down the stairs I stop pulling the heels off and chucking them up the stairs to the bedroom door.
âTold you shouldnât wear themâ Dragus says making me laugh.
âQueen going barefoot to her own engâ-
âShh!â Dragus says nudging Abigail, âOh sorry forgotâ She says giving me a wink.
I continue down the stairs before Pluto opens the front door.
âYou look nice Plutoâ I tell him before kissing his cheek.
âAs do you my Queenâ He says bowing slightly.
âStop that, donât embarrass meâ I tell him when he bows again with a chuckle.
âYou would have to be the only Queen in history that gets embarrassed at people bowing down to herâ
He says following me out.
âShe doesnât get embarrassed when we bow down to her, pretty sure she prefers us on our knees in front of herâ Dragus says, and I slap his chest as we walk out.
Hundreds of people sat at the tables watching as we stepped out and I felt my heart skip a beat having everyoneâs attention directly on us making me freeze.
Silas grips my elbow gently walking me to the front table that overlooked everyone. I notice huge spit roasts turning and cooks filling the Bain-maires. Everyone dressed up for the feast/ festival. Taking my seat, I look over at Abbie as she sits next to me Dakari next to her while my kings all took seats along my other side with Pluto and Ares. Once everyone starts to quiet down the only voices heard were the children running around and playing up the isles of the tables but being pretty quiet.
Silas and Matitus get up walking toward the stage. Silas tugs his shirts neck nervously and I could see he was also a little nervous about everything but also excited. What comes out of his mouth next though shocked me, I had no idea any of this had been going on while sitting in my little bubble of a room.
âNow if everyone could sit down and remain quiet, we will get startedâ The entire place falling silent even the children rushing back toward their parents and taking seats to see what the dragons kings had to say.
âAs you all know, there have been some changes made recently since we found our Queen, our city is flourishing and after some consideration and hearing what everyone had to say at the council meeting three days ago, we have decided to go through with the ballots that were leftâ Cheers started erupting before Silas waves them down to quiet to be quiet again while I look to Abigail.
âBallots?â I whisper.
âYes, at the meeting Silas asked if anyone would be interested speaking on behalf of their people as representatives, each faction got to nominate two people to represent them. Silas was unsure whether or not go ahead, he thought people wouldnât be interested because they have run things for so long now or that they would be too scared to step forward and put their hands upâ
âSo, they made a councilâ
âNo, a house of representativesâ Abbie whispers back.
âSo, I will now read the representatives of each faction, I believe with working with each other we can continue to grow as a kingdom united, a community based on trust and the wellbeing of everyone. I understand a lot of you were hesitant with what I asked but I can assure you we have saw the error of our ways and that is why we asked for you to have input, have your say and to let our community continue to growâ I continued to watch as he called out a man and woman from each species as representative for their area, Victor and Patricia were chosen for the human faction, Aldrin, and his wife for the Fae faction, I was surprised to see Taylor was called for the werewolves along with another male wolf, and a man and woman for the vampires and lastly Abigail for the witches, though their werenât many left.
Silas comes back to the table sitting next to me draping his arm across my table while people talk amongst themselves excited about a committee being put together. After a while of people snacking and chatting and drinking Silas turns to me.
âI have a surprise for you and everyone elseâ
âWhat is it?â I ask and he looks toward the Fountain.
âI wanted to show that I accept you being Fae, I also wanted to show everyone that this is a time for change, so remember those rocks you seen Matitus hauling around?â I nod.
âThey are actually ruins of the Fae kingdom, your bloodlines kingdomâ He says standing up grabbing everyoneâs attention.
âIf everyone would like to follow me, I have something to show you, something to mark this day in history, a reminder of our past but also our future now that we stand as one peopleâ Silas says. Silas holds his hand out to me, and I let him pull me to my feet before following him nervous to see the giant stones.
