63 Ch. 63 Richardâs Tolerancy
No matter how many valuables she smashed and broke, Anxia was starting to feel tired from her own actions. In addition, the maids still seemed eager to clean up the broken pieces and put other valuable items to decorate the empty positions to replace the things she destroyed.
Anxia could have made a scene with the maids who were busy cleaning, but she didnât have the strength to make a sound anymore. On top of that, the maids didnât even approach her or glance at her. She had no reason to get angry at her heartâs content.
She also felt like the treasures in this place were endless, making her run out of words and energy to continue her intention.
It seemed that no matter what she did, Richard always managed to conquer her, and the result was always Richardâs favor.
In the end, Anxia decided not to break the antiques and thought of another way that Richard could drive her out of this place.
After mulling over and thinking of thousands of ways to make things frustrating for Richard, she couldnât find the right way.
She felt that Richard would always tolerate whatever she did. The man even challenged her to keep doing it until she died of exhaustion.
Is there anything that man canât tolerate? After all, what kind of human could tolerate such madness?
No one would be willing to lose all kinds of priceless antiques just like that. Let alone presenting it only so that she could destroy it all over again.
.....
Richard was undeniably not an ordinary person. There must be something wrong with that manâs brain.
Anxia still sat pensively thinking about the method which Richard would not tolerate.
Then she thought of one thing... one thing that man definitely wouldnât be able to tolerate. But will she be able to do it? Even she herself did not want to do it.
However, she had already lost time and still didnât know whether her friend was still alive. The longer she was here, the more likely her friend would die at Master Yuâs hands.
She had to get off the island right now, and she had no other choice but to do so.
Then Anxia stood up and sauntered towards the dining hall.
Anxia has yet to have the chance to go around this palace, so she hasnât memorized the paths of the corridors to each chamber. But at least she had learned the way to her room, the dining hall, and the way out.
As soon as she arrived at the dining room hall, she smiled with satisfaction when she saw that Lori and Richard were there. Well, it was indeed lunchtime, so itâs no wonder they were already prepared and sitting there.
Richard gave an amused smile to see his wife coming in to join them.
âI thought you were too busy with your new toys to join us.â
âI knew it! He had deliberately presented those treasures to irk me.â Anxia could only curse Richard in her head.
âNew toys? What toys do you get? Is it fun?â the clueless Lori asked her mother with an innocent expression filled with interest.
âHmm. Itâs quite entertaining. There are lots of toys that can be thrown against the wall at will.â
Richardâs eyebrow shot up at this. What else is his wife planning?
âToys that can be thrown at the wall? What kind of toys?â
âDo you want to accompany me to play after this? Iâll teach you how to throw something at the wall.â
Richard cleared his throat loudly without giving his daughter a chance to respond to her motherâs offer.
âQiao Anxia, ??what are you doing?â
From the outside, Anxia had a straight face, but inside she was cheering with joy. Finally, for the first time, she managed to find Richardâs weakness.
She felt so stupid for not realizing it in the first place. The man she had craved to kill all this time had the same weakness as her.
If the man could threaten her by using their daughter, then she would do the same to him.
She saw how much Richard wanted to provide a peaceful and joyful life for their growing daughter. Surely that man didnât want their daughter to grow up like a madman with her improper upbringing, right?
âWhat the hell am I doing?â Anxia asked casually while twisting the meat course knife with her skillful fingers.
She purposely spun the knife like a toy in her hand in a position her daughter could see. So far, she has never shown it because she doesnât want Lori to feel curious and want to learn how to hold a knife.
But she had to do it to make Richard feel frustrated for her.
And it was precise as she had expected. Lori was both amazed and curious about what she was doing to the knife in her spinning hands. Lori tried to imitate her behavior by spinning her food spoon, but the spoon didnât spin and instead fell onto her plastic plate.
Lori made a sullen face because she always failed when trying to imitate her motherâs movements which looked very exciting in her eyes.
âLori, honey, you canât turn it with a toy spoon.â Anxia gave the knife to Lori, âTry using it...â her sentence was immediately cut off when she felt Richard take the knife forcibly from her hand, inviting her triumphant smile.
Richard didnât see his wifeâs victorious smile, but Lori did. Lori blinked a few times to ensure she didnât see things wrong.
And, indeed, she did not see wrong. Her mother wore a triumphant smile and eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.
âHhhh... why are the adultâs affairs so complicated? I would never want to grow up.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Lori truly wished to make her parentâs ship sail nicely, but somehow she felt like they had their own ways of pulling and pushing each other.
Lori didnât know why her father was angry at her mother, but he knew it had something to do with her mother giving her the knife.
But... the trick her mother was pulling off was so cool... She wanted to try it!
