241 Ch. 241 Find A Way To Talk
âI am alright. I think Iâm too tired.â Anxia took an extended breath to calm herself down. âElliot, Iâm going to take a little walk outside. Weâll meet in the corridor on my bedroom floor tonight. Is that good?â
Elliot nodded in agreement and let his mother go without glancing at Jamie. Elliot looked at Jamie with a questioning look while Jamie shrugged her shoulders, indicating she knew nothing about Anxiaâs sudden strange behavior.
âI believe my mother has started to accept you.â Elliot began to talk to the woman through his hand gestures.
Jamie smiled gently at the little boy and moved her hand in response to the boyâs comment.
âYes. She has accepted me. I can feel it from her embrace.â
âThen what happens? Why is she turning pale?â
Jamie shook her head in response and then invited Elliot to sit with her by Elliotâs grandfatherâs bed.
âHave you thought about it?â Jamie asked little Elliot, who looked at her in confusion.
âThinking what?â
.....
âWould you still not want to go if your mother asked you to go?â
âNo. I still wonât go.â
âButâ¦â
Elliot held Jamieâs hands, preventing the older woman from continuing as he looked at the woman sullenly. It was clear he didnât want to bring up this topic again, and Elliot wouldnât change his mind.
Seeing little Elliotâs stubbornness made Jamie wonder who this kidâs stubbornness had come from. Jamie held up both hands in surrender and tried to persuade him in other ways.
âIf I were to come with you, would you want to leave this place?â
âOf course.â Elliot answered without hesitation. âBut, what about grandpa? You want to leave him?â
âLooks like your grandpa is hopeless. Iâd rather be concerned with your happiness than depend on someone with almost no hope.â
Elliot didnât budge from his spot and seemed to think for a moment like he was a CEO looking for a way out when his company was on the brink of collapse.
All this time, Elliot did not have a familial love for his grandfather because he did not know what Zhou Yu Hue was like and thought that his grandfatherâs nature was not much different from Loraineâs. But he was only willing to visit the hopeless older man because Jamie asked him to do it. By then, it had become a habit, and talking to an unconscious person made him find calm and peace for unknown reasons.
âI changed my mind.â Elliot made the hand language, stating his mind, making Jamie look at him in confusion. âIâm not leaving without you and grandpa.â
The black galaxy-like eyes were filled with a unanimous decision that Jamie felt sure she would not be able to waver over this boyâs determination.

That night, when Anxia met Elliot in the corridor on the second floor, the two of them walked into Anxiaâs room holding hands. They chatted lightly and casually like an average mother-and-son pair. Hence, no one suspected they would discuss something highly confidential once they arrived in Anxiaâs room.
That was Anxiaâs original plan. She wanted to try to talk to her son with a heart-to-heart, as well as wished to introduce him to Richard. Today was the fifth day as the man had promised, and tonight Richard was coming to get her.
Originally Anxia planned to leave this place without hesitation. Even though she met Elliot here, she still planned to go and bring her son with them.
But now⦠she couldnât just take Elliot away from here. Moreover, Anxia was sure Elliot would refuse her advances considering how much he adored Jamie.
She didnât want to force the boy away, making Elliot hate her. Hence she wanted to wait for Richardâs arrival and discuss their next plans.
Itâs just⦠as soon as Anxia opened her bedroom door, Anxia smelled a strange scent inside her room that made her feel suspicious. Her mother had sent someone into this room to set up a bug. Even her own mother couldnât trust her; how could Anxia trust Loraine like a daughter would trust her mother?
Anxia looked hesitant to go inside, and she was in a dilemma about whether to go inside.
If Anxia decided to stay sleeping in this place, they wouldnât be able to talk freely, and also⦠Richard couldnât move into her room without hacking into this placeâs computer system.
If the IT guys noticed something weird was happening with their system, they would know right away the island had an intruder, and time with Richard to discuss the next strategy would be very little.
What should she do?
âMama, how about tonight we sleep in my room?â
Anxia widened at her sonâs offer and wanted to scream out loud, âAh, my son is such a genius!â But she held it in and nodded once in agreement with her sonâs proposal.
When they entered Elliotâs room and closed the bedroom door, Anxia walked deeper to investigate whether there was any suspicious device.
Elliot smiled, amused to see his mother looking worried as he searched the whole room, then walked over to his mother and invited her to sit on the bed.
âWe are safe here, mama,â he said, relaxing Anxiaâs muscles. âBut just in case, weâd better not talk loudly.â he continued again in a lower voice, making Anxia chuckle in amusement.
âElliot, you are so smart. Iâm afraid youâll join hands with your sister to trick your poor parents.â
âIs she as smart as me?
Anxia almost laughed out loud at how much confidence her son had. Ah, her son is narcissistic⦠just like the father.
Lori never boasts or sounds narcissistic, even when she has brilliant ideas that overwhelm them. But Elliot⦠was not only as brilliant and had a keen perceptive, but he was also super narcissistic.
Anxia lost count of how many times sheâd heard Elliot tell her that all the female employees in this place fell in love with him and would give him anything he asked for.
This boyâs face may resemble Anxiaâs, but his personality⦠more like Richardâs.
