194 Ch. 194 The Siblingsâ Fight (part 2)
âMoni, from now on, you are banned from meeting with Andrew.â
The corners of Harmonieâs lips twitched at the commanding tone that didnât take ânoâ for an answer.
âWhat is it all about? Why did you burst into our room and make that ridiculous ban?â
âDoesnât matter. I wonât allow you to meet him alone.â
âHow dare you! What rights do you have over me?â
âI am your brother!!â
âAnd Iâm not a little child!!â countered Harmonie with a fierce look as if she was a fearless warrior in front of the terrifying lion king.
The brother and sister pair no longer made a sound and only looked at each other with intense gazes without anyone wanting to give up.
On the other side, Michele and Anxia looked at each other without knowing what to do. Before this, Michele and Anxia went through a cold war, and Harmonie, with her brothers, was trying to reconcile them. And yet, why is Richard now waging another cold war with his beloved sister?
.....
Anxia decided to walk over to her husband and took his hand gently, but his husband still didnât move from his place and looked at his little sister while clenching his jaw as if he was trying his best to swallow all the words he wanted to say.
In the end, Anxia hugged the man tightly and patted the furious manâs back gently, stunning Harmonie and Richard with what she was doing. At the very least, Anxia managed to divert the attention of these two stubborn siblings.
âRichie, Uncle Leonâs wedding anniversary will soon begin. We still need a long time to dress up. Can you put it off until tomorrow?â
âNo. If we postpone it until tomorrow, Harmonie musnât get out of this room tonight.â
Anxia, as well as Michele, choked up hearing this sentenceânot because of the words but because Raymond was the one who said this verdict.
When Harmonie saw her two brothers insisting on keeping her away from Andrew, who had just confessed his feelings, Harmonieâs face turned red with anger.
âWhy are you doing this to me? Are you really my brothers?â
âIt is because we are your brothers. Itâs for your own good, Moni.â Raymond replied gently but in a firm tone. In this case, Raymond was more patient and kept his emotions in check, although his tone still conveyed that he didnât want to be challenged.
âMy own good? Which one exactly? You guys locked me in this room without telling me a reasonable reason? You guys never could lock me up when I was a child. Why do you think you could do it now? I will run away once you restrain me.â
âHarmonie, calm down. Iâm sure they didnât mean what they said.â Michele put her arm around Harmonieâs shoulder to calm her down and relieve the tense atmosphere in the room. Unfortunately, her husband didnât help her by continuing his words.
âWe meant with our every word, though.â
Anxia glanced at Harmonie, who was biting her lips in frustration and eyes red from trying to hold back the tears. This was the first time she saw a girl as cheerful and agile as Harmonie; showing tears made her feel guilty.
If she hadnât told Richard about Harmonie and Andrewâs sailed-ship⦠maybe this would not have happened.
No wonder this husband suddenly became quiet
as soon as he heard this news. It turned out her husband didnât like the idea of ??his sister being with Andrew. But why?
Why was Richard against it? Why was Raymond also against it and forbade Harmonie from meeting Andrew? Anxia couldnât comprehend the twinsâ way of thinking. Besides, arenât these two adore Andrew?
âRichie, you know full well you canât stop feeling someone once they grow. Wouldnât it be better if you talked about it carefully? Give her a valid reason why you guys are against it.â
Richard glanced at his wife, embracing him fearlessly even though he was emitting a dangerous aura ready to pounce on anyone. However, when the irresistible scent and two tiny arms wrapped around his waist assaulted him, Richardâs sanity returned. Guilt overwhelmed him when he noticed tears gathered in Harmonieâs eyesâhis sister looked hurt and disappointed in him.
Richard had no intention of making his sister cryâhe only didnât want Moni to get entangled deeper with Andrew. It was fine if their bond was only cousins, but it was wholly matter if they were in a relationship.
After a while, Richard turned to his twin brother as if they were communicating through their eyes.
âAlright. How about a bet?â Raymondâs suggestion made everyone look at him in confusion. âTonight, Weâre going to play âwhich one and which one.â
If you or Andrew can guess, we have nothing against you.â
âRei, what are youââ
âOn the other hand,â Reymond interrupted Richardâs confused inquiry, adding, âIf you guys fail, you should be willing to separate from him without fighting back.â
Harmonie bit her lip hearing her brotherâs suggestion. Just hearing about this type of game made her pale, but now she had to bear the risk she would face if she lost this game.
Meanwhile, Anxia and Michele were both wondering about the game Raymond meant. What kind of game is that? And why did Harmonie seem like someone who had lost badly before even going into battle?
âNo. I donât want to play something that youâll have the ultimate win. This is not fair!â
âYou get some help, donât you? Unless Andrew is unwilling to help youâhe is a coward then,â countered Raymond without putting on his usual friendly smile, making Michele wonder at her husbandâs attitude.
âSo will I and Michele. We will help you.â Anxiaâs statement made the twin brothers surprised to hear it. âIsnât that so, Jie Jie?â
Michele didnât know what kind of game she was going to face, but if her sister-in-law needed help, she would willingly help.
âAbsolutely. I will help you. Donât worry.â After all, Michele felt indebted to Harmonie because she had paved the way for her to reconcile with Anxia. She would do anything to help Harmonie in every way she could.
âMichele? Youâre my wife. Arenât you supposed to be at my side?â
âXia Xia, you too. You are my wife. Why are you siding her against me?â
Anxia let go of her embrace, stepped back two steps, and then folded her arms in front of her chest.
âI will side with you if you act like an older brother who cares about his sisterâs happiness. But who knows what got into you, so you canât think straight. So this time, I will not be on your side.â
âMe too.â Michele continued to show her husband that she had the same answer as Anxia.
âDo you know what kind of game we would play?â Raymond craved to devour his wifeâs lips so she wouldnât say any more defiant words.
âLet them play, then.â Richard cut in before his brother exposed the mysterious game. âBut in exchange, if you lose, you will receive my punishment for daring to defy me.â
Anxia widened her eyes at the heavy and dangerous tone of her husband. Not to mention, the gleam in Richardâs eyes that were so enthusiastic that he wanted to punish her in a way that she definitely didnât wish toâmade her shudder.
âInteresting. Then, itâs a deal,â stated Raymond, grinning at his wife.
Those overconfident twins made their wives want to reverse the time. Is there still a chance to withdraw from the game?
