183 Ch. 183 The Heinest Family

At last, Anxia could sigh relief after being cooped up in the house for the whole week. The anniversary event would be held tomorrow evening, but the Calvins had departed today and would stay at Leonard’s residence for three days and two nights.

Although Anxia was excited to go out and travel somewhere new, that didn’t mean Anxia was excited to meet her mother-in-law’s family. She wished she hadn’t run into Quinn.

The journey taken by their private plane was just over an hour, and they arrived at the international airport of Birmingham, England. Leonard had provided a limousine to pick up his younger sister’s family and provided the best service for the Calvins.

During the trip, all members of Meisya’s family, except Stanley and Richard, chatted casually and cheerfully. Stanley didn’t sound and only smiled in response to his wife, while Richard stared blankly at the street.

Soon after, their limousine pulled up to the luxury house’s main door, and Leonard and his wife greeted them.

“Meisya,” Leonard greeted with a bright smile and immediately hugged his younger sister.

“Leon,” Meisya greeted back while returning her brother’s hug; then she hugged Madeline, who looked awkward and didn’t like her but accepted her hug.

How could Madeline be relaxed and friendly? For as long as she could remember, her daughter―Quinn wanted to marry one of Meisya’s twins, but the two twins married another girl.

Madeline didn’t feel shy or reluctant after giving Meisya a warm hug and glanced at the two Eastern girls from head to toe. Both of them couldn’t outmatch Quinn’s beauty, but how could the two twins prefer them?

“Maddie.”

Madeline immediately put on a friendly smile when she received a firm reprimand from her husband.

“Welcome to our place, Meisya. You don’t know how much I miss you so much. Quinn misses you a lot too.”

Hearing Quinn’s name made Anxia clench her fists. She wished that two-faced lady wasn’t in this place. She knew her hopes were impossible, considering the girl was still unmarried and living with her parents.

“Oh, I miss her too. Is she here?”

“Yes, she’s inside―she is preparing lunch for all of us. I hope you guys are hungry.”

“Very.” came the voice of enthusiastic tone from Meisya before she glanced at her two daughters-in-law. “You must try Quinn’s cooking―her cooking is better than our head chef.”

Michele smiled in response to her mother-in-law’s enthusiasm while Anxia frowned in disapproval. Will they be safe if they eat Quinn’s cooking? Wouldn’t it be poisoned?

Anxia glanced at her husband with a confused look as if asking him through her eyes. Although Anxia didn’t voice her worries out loud, Richard could understand what his wife was thinking. He took her hand gently as if reassuring her that he wouldn’t allow Quinn to hurt their daughter a second time.

After all, they were all in Leonard’s place―Quinn feared her father the most, and Richard was sure the lady would not dare to do anything in front of her father.

“Hey, Richie. Why didn’t you tell me you were married and had a child?” expressed Leon without paying attention to Stanley, who was not friendly to him. “At that time, I regretted not being able to come to Rei’s wedding. At least if you get married, I will try to come.”

Richard smiled respectfully as he answered the kind man. “I’m sorry, Uncle. But our wedding was sudden, and also… we haven’t had the party yet.”

“Ah, I see. Aren’t you going to introduce us?” Richard immediately introduced Anxia and Lori to Leonard, followed by Raymond, who presented his wife and son to Leonard.

After introducing themselves, Madeline ushered them in and heard the sound of a car engine speeding up from the front gate.

Automatically, all eyes turned toward the source of the car’s sound, and suddenly Richard and Raymond’s eyes shone, which amazed Anxia and Michele.

Not long after, a yellow luxury sports car stopped just behind the black limousine. After the car engine was turned off, the car door opened, and a young man appeared getting out of the car.

The young man had honey-brown hair and was neatly styled like a magazine model. He was wearing a shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and some of the top buttons left open, showing his tantalizing chest muscles.

Anxia and Michele widened their eyes in shock when they saw the young man walking toward their group with a big smile.

This man… Anxia and Michele couldn’t help but have to admit… this man had such indescribable good looks―even more handsome than their husbands. This man’s handsomeness felt unreal, making any girl willing to submit to this gentleman.

Quinn’s beauty was also on another level, making Anxia feel enchanted for the first time. If Anxia had been born as a man, there was no doubt that Anxia would have fallen in love with Quinn at first sight.

Luckily, Anxia was a girl―and she didn’t need to have a broken heart for that rotten-hearted lady.

“Andrew!” exclaimed Richard and Raymond together.

“Hey, duo twins!”

The three hugged while patting each other firmly on the back as if they were close friends that had not met for a long time.

“You guys look different now, and you smell different, too.” joked Andrew with a humorous tone.

“We smell?”

“Ha ha ha ha. Right. You guys smell like married people and also… like dad.” Leonard shook his head at his eldest son’s joke. “I’m just kidding.” continued Andrew while laughing, accompanied by the twins’ laughter.

“Andrew!!” Harmonie jumped high and landed straight into Andrew’s arms, who immediately turned his body around, causing a joyful laugh from the girl.

“Hey, you’re gaining weight again, huh?”

“Hmph! Who said that? You’re the thinner one.”

Leonard laughed at his eldest son’s intimacy with Stanley’s youngest daughter, while the girl’s father looked displeased at their overly close relationship.

“Moni. You’re not a kid anymore. Behave yourself.” Stanley’s remark made Harmonie pout and heave a resigned sigh.

“It’s okay, Uncle. She is a sister to me, after all,” expressed Andrew while ruffling Harmonie’s hair playfully.

And oddly enough, only Anxia noticed the subtle tinge of red as Harmonie looked down shyly as Andrew’s big hand touched her head.
