145 Ch. 145 Bracelet Couple
When Richard returned home, Anxia and Lori were ready to welcome him and took his hands excitedly, causing Richard to laugh in amusement. One tugged at Richardâs right hand while the other tugged at his left. They greeted him with the same enthusiasm and pulled him toward the dining room.
Even though he had not yet arrived at the dining room, Richard could already smell a mouth-watering aroma from the food room.
Once at their destination, Richard saw at least seven different kinds of dishes. There was soup, grilled fish, and vegetable salad arranged to fill their dining table.
âWhat day is it today?â Richard couldnât help but wonder if today was someoneâs birthday, but he recalled nothing.
âWhat? You donât remember?â
Why did Richard suddenly feel guilty, as if he had done something wrong? He increasingly could not concentrate on what he had forgotten when he saw his wifeâs sullen face.
âFocus, Richard. What have you forgotten?â He felt he had planned something important, but Richard forgot about it when he got the news that Raymond and his family would visit London.
What has he forgotten?!
Lori waved her left hand to get Richardâs attention as if she could hear her fatherâs desperate screams.
.....
Richard turned to his daughter and saw her open her right hand while her left index finger tapped her right ring finger. It was then that he remembered what he had forgotten.
âAh, right. Today is our anniversary. I havenât forgotten.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
What a liar! If Lori didnât remind him, then he wouldnât remember. Anxia was still sullen and no longer in the mood to give her husband this surprise.
For the past two years, Anxia had tried her best to cook without burning the kitchen down. Even if she managed to control herself not to make a mess of everything in the kitchen, the crop still couldnât pass for food.
There were burned here and there, and the slices were still irregular.
And for the first time, Anxia managed to create a dish that didnât burn. Pieces of vegetables and meat were also well shaped, although they were not as perfect as the main family head chefâs cooking. But at the very least, Anxia was making good progress in cookery.
Two years ago, when they returned from Bourton village and moved to London, Richard had prepared a romantic dinner just to put their wedding rings on.
Since then, they have decided that day will be their official anniversary.
But who would have thought Richard even forgot about it?
âYou must think Iâm lying, â guessed Richard, who understood his wifeâs way of thinking even though Anxia didnât comment. âI didnât forget it, but I forgot to bring it down.â
One of Anxiaâs eyebrows rose upon hearing this.
âWait here.â
Anxia and Lori exchanged glances when they saw Richard heading back out to the garage to get something in his car.
âMom, will you still be angry if it turns out that papa didnât forget your anniversary?â
âAngry? Who is angry? I was teasing him.â her straightforward answer made Lori chuckle in amusement.
Not having to wait long, Richard came with a beautiful bouquet of red roses and a black box covered in velvet and decorated with a gold ribbon.
âWhat is this?â Anxia could barely say anything when Richard handed the flower bouquet to her.
At first, Anxia thought she was the one who wanted to make her husband speechless, but for the umpteenth time, Richard was able to give something that could make her heart soar to the sky.
âHappy anniversary,â Richardâs grin grew wider, seeing his wifeâs expression of disbelief.
Anxia surprised him by wrapping one hand around his wifeâs waist and then pulling her against his body. Then Richard gave a hot and deep kiss making Anxia freeze in place.
While Lori, who was still with them, immediately closed her eyes but left gaps between her fingers because she liked seeing her parents making out like this.
Richard ended the caress when he felt Anxia couldnât breathe without letting go of his hug or losing her smile.
âNow, you believe me? I will never forget our anniversary.â
âYouâre so hateful.â
Even though Anxia was happy with her husbandâs outpouring of love, she still felt annoyed because her husband didnât seem to care about the dishes she had worked so hard to make. However, she decided to stay silent and was more interested in the black box the man was carrying.
Is it another piece of jewelry? Her husband really likes to give her a jewelry collection. Every time a new piece of jewelry came out, the man bought one. And of all the jewelry collections that Richard bought, that man likes a well-known brand called LYMT.
Well, no wonder Richard likes this brand. Not only were the jewelry designs beautiful, but the name alone caught peopleâs attention.
Loving You Million Times... LYMT.
âWhat is that? Donât tell me another LYMT?â
âYou donât like it?â
âAre you kidding? Of course, I like it!â Anxia exclaimed enthusiastically as she hugged her husband, making Richard grin.
Richard gave the box to Anxia, and the two sat on the chairs, followed by Lori.
Anxia tugged at the end of the golden ribbon, and she opened the box, and her eyes lit up when she saw what was inside.
There was a pair of rose gold and platinum bracelets in different sizes. The rose gold one was smaller and had the words âRCâs Queenâ, while the platinum one was large with âQAâs Kingâ on it. Small diamonds add elegance to the coupleâs bracelet on each side of the script.
âWow, so beautiful.â Lori raised her voice so cheerfully that Anxia smiled widely.
âRichie, you didnât give me a chance to talk earlier, but I also have a surprise for you.â
Anxia pulled her husbandâs hand and then walked to the dining table, where various dishes were available.
At first glance, everything looked perfect, and Richard thought it was the head chef preparing it. But it was only when he noticed Anxiaâs expectant gaze and some untidy pieces of carrots and potatoes that he realized something.
