132 Ch. 132 Anxia Is Timid?
Richard opened the driverâs door and saw his wife looking at their little daughter, who was still fast asleep in the passenger seat. He sat on the footrest while his hands rested comfortably on Anxiaâs thighs.
Anxia turned towards her husband and was greeted with a fast rhythmic heartbeat when she saw her husbandâs eyes filled with love.
When she faced Quinn, she was a sadistic demoness, making anyone wish they were never born. But when she was with Richard, Anxia turned timid, shy girl and couldnât control her pounding heart when her husband looked at her like this. Anxia coughed a few times awkwardly to calm her pounding heart, then reached into the small bottle filled with the blue liquid she had stolen before she came to kidnap Quinn.
âWhat should I do with this? I donât know if itâs the right one or if she tried anything funny to fool me.â
âLetâs go back first. Then weâll find out.â
âOkay.â Anxia complied and put the vial back in her pocket. âWhat is it? Why are you looking at me like that?â asked Anxia, seeing Richardâs wide, idiot-like smile.
âSo⦠I am yours? Why didnât you tell me directly?â
Anxia felt the cold night air couldnât melt her burning face. She even could imagine her head would explode due to the high temperature. How did her husband know?
Anxia was confident that when she claimed that Richard was hers before Quinn, that man had not yet arrived at this place. So how did this man know that? Where did Richard hear those words from!?
.....
No, no. The man couldnât hear anything she said to Quinn, and maybe he heard it from Quinn, who was boasting because her mind was going crazy due to the endless torment.
âWhat are you talking about? I donât get it.â Anxia acted casual and pretended she didnât understand what her husband was talking about.
âDidnât you say I was yours? You also told her you wouldnât let a girl like her or someone else take me away from you.â
âTh⦠thatâ¦â No way! How could the woman she tortured tell Richard her exact words? Quinn should be hating her, and it didnât make sense if that lady would tell Richard her declaration. Or could it be... âYou⦠heard our talk?â
âEn.â
âWhat? How much do you hear?â
âFrom beginning to end.â
Anxia bit her lip in frustration, then hid her face with her hands. She couldnât bear to look at her husbandâs face, especially now that she heard him laughing⦠laughing at her.
Ugh! She was too embarrassed!
Anxia felt her wrists encircled by her husbandâs big hands. Richard pulled her hand gently, revealing her blushing face.
âWhy are you hiding your face? I want to see your gorgeous blushing face.â the manâs praise made Anxia even more unable to hold back her heart beating.
To outsiders, Anxia was a tough woman who never showed weakness. There was nothing she was afraid of as long as her daughter was free from the dangers of her enemies.
But Anxia felt herself completely change when she was with Richard. Somehow she even became like a shy kitten when dealing with her husband. Since when did she become timid like this? Shouldnât she be a ferocious bear?
In the midst of her heart pounding like roaring waves, Richard didnât help her calm her heart. The man instead gave feather-light kisses on her fingers as if he was enjoying the skin of her hands.
Richard treated her hands as if they were the most beautiful thing and the ones he admired the most. Anxia occasionally was disgusted by her own hands. Ever since she gave birth, she had nightmares about her bloody hands taking a thousand lives. But now... miraculously, Richard threw away Anxiaâs disgust toward just like that.
Richard made her realize, Anxia felt so tired when she thought about her grudge that it drained her mental energy and stamina. She felt more comfortable and happy when she didnât think about anything. Anxia felt her life was more complete when she only thought about Richard and Lori.
She was an assassin, and her hands were covered with the blood of countless victims. If Richard was willing to accept her as she was regardless of her past, wouldnât it be time for her to forget it too?
What had happened had happened, and she had no power to turn back time or erase history. She only needed to close the book of her life as an assassin and turn over a new leaf.
But⦠Anxia wanted to confirm something first.
âThereâs something I want to ask you.â
Richard was still kissing her palm when Anxia said her sentence. âEn, go ahead.â
âAre you really okay with this?â Richard tilted his head, indicating he didnât understand his wifeâs question. âI mean... you donât mind having a wife like me?â
Richard smiled at his wifeâs concern. As far as he knew, Anxia had quite a high self-confidence and never felt doubtful or uneasy. This was the first time Anxia was worried and troubled, and the girl even expressed her concern to him. As a husband, isnât it his duty to give her the security she wants?
Richard had opened his mouth to answer his wife, but he swallowed back his voice when he heard a loud rumbling not far from their car. Richard stood up and saw that Quinn had exited the building wrapped in thick cloth and being embraced by the attendant. He also realized that Andrew Heinestâs driver had been looking at him for some time with a complicated look. The driver didnât even look away even though he had been caught looking at someone without permission.
Anxia was confused by her husbandâs attitude, which suddenly became tense. Curious about what her husband was seeing, Anxia glanced forward to see that the annoying girl who wanted her husbandâs child had gotten out and walked into the car.
However, that wasnât what caught her attention. She became aware that a blonded-hair man in a very neat black coat was looking at Richard unfriendly.
Who is that man? Does Richard know him?
Hhhh⦠What bad timing. Anxia had encouraged herself to ask the most difficult question and was ready to hear any kind of answer, but that hateful lady ruined her chance.
Anxia decided not to look at Quinn and her group and glanced at her daughter, who was still asleep in the toddler chair.
As she had suspected, Lori was indeed her oasis, considering only seeing her baby improved her mood.
âXia Xia,â
Anxia turned to her husband, who called her. She noticed that no one was in this place because the car that had picked up Quinn had left.
Richard stretched his hand as if he wanted Anxia to get out of the car. Not understanding her husbandâs plan, Anxia still obeyed, accepted the helping hand, and stepped out of the car.
Because this car only had two seats, namely the driver and passenger seats, this car could only accommodate two people. Unfortunately, the passenger seat was full because an additional seat had been installed specifically for Lori to sleep comfortably, so the only one left was the driverâs seat.
As soon as Anxia got out of the car, it was Richardâs turn to enter and sit on the chair comfortably. Afterward, Richard pulled Anxia to follow him and sat on his lap.
Realizing her husbandâs hidden plan made Anxiaâs face redden. Well, they had no choice but for Anxia to sit on her husbandâs lap. They also had no way of waking Lori, who seemed to be sleeping so soundly. In the end, Anxia had no choice but to follow her husbandâs wishes.
With such ease, Richard lifted her slender body and positioned her in a straight sitting, facing forward to make her comfortable. Now Anxiaâs position was sitting in front of Richard with Richardâs thighs flanking her hips.
After that, Richard pressed the button to close the door and started the engine, and activated the auto drive.
Not wasting a rare golden opportunity, Richard wrapped his arms around his wifeâs slender stomach while his chin rested on Anxiaâs shoulder while enjoying her desirable scent.
Richard had no idea that at this moment, Anxiaâs face was as red as a boiled crab and was screaming in her heart.
âDo I have to be in this position during the trip??â
The car Richard brought from Hallstatt Island had an advanced technological program that no other car had. This car also had an incredibly high speed, but for some reason, now this car was running at a super duper slow speed.
Anxia couldnât help but feel tenser in her husbandâs arms. Moreover, Richard still hasnât let go of his hug, and one side of his face is stuck like a postage stamp to her neck.
Richard didnât do anything more and just hugged his wife, but his hug was able to make Anxiaâs heart go awry.
âXia Xia, relax a bit. Youâre too tense.â
WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?!
