"It's not bragging if you can back it up."- Muhammad Ali.
Third Person's POV
"What are you doing in my house?" Ashley asks, a knowing smile on her lips.
"I came to see my boyfriend, of course!" Cam smirks proudly.
"So much for 'I want him to work hard to get me'." She teases, "And now what? You're the one who can't stay away from him. Just one day of being a girlfriend and you're already here, visiting him."
Cam bites her lips, "Can't help it," she shrugs, "by the way, are you not supposed to be out today. Where's your darling loverboy?"
"I don't know?" She draws out, "he's supposed to be here by now, but I don't know what's keeping him."
Cam taps her chin in thought. "Mmh... that's so unusual of him, yesterday, he cancelled and today he's not here when he's supposed to."
"I know right," She lets out a nervous chuckle, "it's w-e-ird."
"Why don't you go to his place to find out? I don't know, surprise him, maybe?"
Her eyes glints immediately, "I guess so. See ya!" And with the she leaves and heads for Grayson's place.
Cam on the other hand tiptoes, slowly into Lucas' room. She opens the door quietly, hoping it doesn't squeak when she enters. Gladly, it doesn't. She finds him asleep in his bed, hair moving in all directions. She smiles and removes her slippers, pushes it aside and places her handbag on the floor. She tiptoes yet again towards the bed, and when she's closer, climbs into it. She lays right beside him so she could get access to his sleeping face. She bites her lip as she studies his sleeping face. A smile tugs at the corner of her lips and she fans herself with her palm and bats her lashes dramatically.
"Damn! My boyfriend is handsome even in his sleep." She whispers to herself in pride, "I've got a handsome boyfriend." She sings, "La la la la la la." She pushes a hair that had fallen on his face away, still singing. He stirs slightly in his sleep, and that's when she realizes that her voice might have gotten louder by the second and if care's not taken he might just wake up, so she places a finger to her lips to shush. "He's asleep. Cam, behave." She scolds herself and continues to stare at him shamelessly, committing his sleeping face to memory.
Her fingers itched to touch his face. After a moment of debating in her head, whether to or not, she gives in to her adamant desires. She stretches her hand towards his face and starts by tracing his brows with her finger tips. She traces both brows and then moves to his thick lashes. She wets her lips with her tongue, as she runs her fingers along it, playing with it, flicking it here ad there. She moves on to his nose, runs her finger along his nose. Slowly she was getting satisfied at her silly deeds but she wouldn't stop however. Her next target was his lips. Her finger pauses mid air when she was about to touch it.
Was she about to play with fire?
Something like that.
But did she really care what the outcome of her actions may be?
Definitely not.
She shrugs, and biting her lower lip, trail her finger at the seam of his lips, the action eliciting a kind of emotion, she's felt and known all too well within her. She takes her finger off, like it burned her. Too many thoughts running her head. Just too many. She sighs and trails her hand along his jaw, tracing it, back and forth. She cups his cheek with her palm, and in that instant another hand was on hers, His. Lucas' eyes flutters open and she freezes.
"What are you doing?" He croaks out, staring at her surprise-stricken face.
"U...uhm n...nothing." She stutters and tries to take off her hand from his face but he doesn't allow it, rather he tightens his hold on her hand. Her heart was racing wildly.
"What were you trying to do?" He raises his brow as a playful smile sits at the corner of his lips. She shakes her head and tries again, to take her hand away, and this time around he lets her. But it doesn't end there, his arm grabs her waist and pulls her closer till their bodies were glued, no atom of space separating them. "Sleep with me." He utters, and she blinks.
"W...what?!"
"Sleep with me." He lets the words out one by one, more firmer and a bit louder this time around. Her face was red from blushing from embarrassment. He knew the chaos he was creating in her head. He stifles a laugh.
"Your expression was to kill for. You should have seen your face." He says continuing to laugh at her. "What I mean is sleep, just sleep. What were you thinking?" He flicks her forehead.
Her hand goes to her forehead, "Ouch!" She mumbles and rests her head on his shoulder. She shuts her eyes and he mirrors her action, a smile still played out on his lips. Slowly they drift into the soothing embers of sleep, right in each others' arms.
-
After a few minutes of driving, Ashley reaches her boyfriend's house. She gets out, lock her car and head for the main door of his house. She raises her hand, about to ring the doorbell when the sound of door opening stops her. A pretty looking female her age, she observes, appears.
"H...hi." She awkwardly stutters.
"Who are you looking for?" the girl asks, a look of indifference flashing her face.
"G...grayson." She utters, a tad intimidated by the girl's tone and facial expression.
"Oh! I'll go get him. Wait here!" She closes the door and for about five minutes, Ash stands there waiting for him to come downstairs. She gets frustrated when there was no sign of him, she decides on leaving.
"Maybe it was a bad idea coming here afterall. What was I thinking, coming here as a surprise?" She mutters to herself and turns her back about to go but immediately she takes a step, the door creaks open. She turns to look at whoever it was, she comes in contact with Grayson's smiling face.
"You're here." He says.
"Yeah!"
"I was about to head for your place."
"Didn't she tell you..." She trails when the girl appears behind him, to say she was confused would be a complete lie. A million thoughts were running through her head.
Grayson furrows his brows, "Didn't who what?"
"I forgot." Anne mutters immediately and Grayson turns around, now noticing she was behind him. Feigning a sorry expression, she takes a step further so she was beside him, no longer hiding at his back.
"Forgot what?" He questions.
"To tell you she was here for you. She's actually been here for a while."
"Really?!"
"Yes! I'm real sorry. I honestly forgot to inform you but I promise it won't happen again." She holds his hands and stares at him, a sorry puppy dog look on her face.
"It's okay." He says to her before turning to Ashley.
She turns to Ashley and apologizes, "Sorry to have kept you waiting."
Ashley just nods to indicate it was nothing, although there was a small voice at the back of her head gnawing her that it was something, and the way the girl was clinging on to her boyfriend.
"So shall we?" He asks her and she nods.
"I want to go too. I want to join you guys," The girl batts her lashes at Grayson before turning to Ashley, "I hope you don't mind."
"Sure." She nods her head, she couldn't just say No. besides the girl whose name she's yet to know might be related to Grayson in one way or the other, it'd be totally wrong to not allow her join them, they're just going to eat anyways.
_ _
She was back in her home. She drove back by herself in Lucas' car. The date wasn't enjoyable like it was supposed to, Of course, third party. Everything felt awkward for her, she felt like the unwanted one there but it was okay, she wasn't really talking anyways. The other girl seemed more interested in talking and expressing herself than she did. It was totally fine.
She was exhausted yet decides to check Lucas' room if Cam was still there. Lo and behold, she was. She opens the door to find Lucas and Cam cuddling while eating and watching a movie together.
"You're still here." She points out.
"Yep." Cam mumbles, popping the p and Ash raises a brow at her.
"Isn't it the same you that said No to being a girlfriend from start?"
"Ash!!" Cam warns.
"Am I not telling the truth, Luc?" She grins.
Lucas doesn't say anything but chuckles.
Cam pouts before asking. " Anyways, how was your rescheduled date?"
Ash sighs and Cam got the hint. "Trouble in paradise?" She asks.
"Not really. I'll tell you everything later. For now, I just want to have some sleep. Bye to both of you!" And with that she leaves.
When she gets to her room, she plops on the bed and pick up her phone. She was curious to know who the girl was to him. A friend? Family?
She was only going to know by asking, right?
Right!
"Who's she?" She texts.
A minute passes before a reply comes through, "Her name's Anita but she's known as Anne."-Â B.B
"Nice. Is she a new found friend? I've not known her to be your friend."
"Yeah, we knew each other as kids. She'd been away, just returned."-B.B
"Oh okay, Cool."
