Ashley's POV
Ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My alarm
Goodness, it's morning already? A school morning for that matter.
Better get up already!
I stretch out my hand grudgingly to dismiss my phone's alarm. Ugh! Can I stay in bed a little while longer? Goodness!, sleep is alluring. Today's sleep is ten times better and I wonder why. The last thing I vividly remember before sleep captured me in its web is replying a 'Night' to Grayson's 'Goodnight'.
Mmm...

It's time to drive to school and I'm confused as to who to take a ride with. Lucas or Dylan?
I mean, Dylan wouldn't mind me taking my ride with Lucas since I've been doing that ever since but I don't know why I feel obligated this morning to ride with him.
Should I ride with him?
Mmm.....
I think I would, just for this morning. You call it brother and sister bonding time.
I go to Lucas who was standing by his car. "Lucas," I call and he turns to face me. "I'm driving with Dylan today. I'll take a ride with you after school, though. Bye." I peck his cheek in a mini-second before rushing quickly to Dylan who was entering the driver's seat. Without talking or drawing his attention, I open the passenger's door and enter swiftly, hitting my head slightly in the process.
"Ouch!" I utter, drawing Dylan's attention. He looks at me, eyes on the verge of popping out of their sockets.
"When did you get here?" he asks.
"Vanished," I say shutting the door close.
He chuckles shaking his head. "Let's just assume I believe that."
"Of course! you do." I grin.
"I do." He pinches his nose, "definitely do!" Note the Sarcasm
"Yeah, yeah." I roll my eyes, "Let me just pretend you weren't being sarcastic right now. So how was your sleep?"
"Well..." he sets the car into ignition "Put on your seat belt, first."
I oblige, locking it at my side. "Done," I say once I'm done and he starts driving.
"Your night, how was it?" I ask yet again.
He sighs, "Not bad. What of yours?"
"Mine was okay."
"Cool," he says and watches me almost as if he had something to say, so I raise my brows at him in questioning ."You didn't ride with Lucas, I see."
Wow! Never thought I would hear him utter the word Lucas, that's a great improvement. I ignore his statement though, I mean it wasn't a question in the first place, and I'm not obligated to answer. Or am I? Nah! So I don't.
___
Dylan and I enter the class and the first face my eyes greet amongst other students is Cam's, seated comfortably at her seat, a smile spread across her face as she looks intently at something on her phone. I walked towards her, curious to know what at all she was watching since whatever it was seemed to have all her attention. With steady steps toward her, I finally get to our table. I place my bag down silently and tower over her, stretching my neck closer to her head, when I squint my eyes at her screen, I see a young man, a very tall one at that, with a long beard, holding a microphone and singing in front of a large crowd. I must say he's handsome, Dark handsome.
Wait!! Could that be Dante Bowe?! I mean Cam keeps talking about him over and over. Definitely must be him. See the way she's smiling, he's definitely Dante Bowe.
I stretch my hand out to her phone and press pause, and that did it cause before a second could tick, she snaps her head towards me, shocked at my action and presence.
"You're here." She says, her expression betraying her thoughts.
"Yeah. Is that Dante, your crush?" I motion towards her phone as I take my seat.
"Yes!" She squeals, eyes glinting in pleasure, "It's him, you saw him right?! Isn't he handsome?! He's hot, isn't he?"
"Well..." I start and she holds her breath, waiting for my answer. "He's not bad."
"What do you mean by 'he's not bad'? Come on! you can do better than that. I want a legit answer."
"He's.... nice," I admit and she sighs!
"By the way, when did you arrive?"
"Just a few minutes ago, why?"
"Uh, nothing." She says "See," she points towards something so I turn my face to wherever it is her hands motioned towards. There he was, Lucas, standing at the class door, watching Cam and me, intently. As he takes a step towards his seat, he shoots us a smile, one that doesn't reach his eyes, before fully aiming for his seat.
After he does so, more students troop in, and among those are Grayson, Pierson, and Cole. Grayson and Pierson walked to our seat to greet us, whilst Cole headed for his seat, Grayson muttering a simple 'Good morning' and Pierson hugging Cam before heading for their seat. Our eyes trailed after them as they left our side and headed towards their seat. Immediately they take their seat, and we take our eyes off them, my gaze landing on Lucas in the process. He was looking at Cam and me intently, eyebrows creased but before I could react, the teacher entered the class.
____
Class was boring, in a matter of fact, all the classes we've had so far were boring. Wish I skipped school today. School, school school, who created them at all? Ugh! Sucks!
"Is it just me or do classes seem to be boring today?" Cam questions, a frown on her lips. Exactly my thoughts, it feels so nice that I'm not the only one in this.
"Not just you hun, feelings' mutual," I say as we walk over to a table in the Cafeteria, holding our tray with food in it, since it's lunch and all. When we get to the table, we set our tray down and take our seats on one side, leaving the opposite bench empty.
We were about to start eating when Lucas joined us, taking his seat right beside me. I look at him briefly and go back to my food. Just as I stab a piece of meat with my fork, I feel a new presence hovering over us so I lift my head, only to come face to face with Grayson, Pierson, and Cole at the table. I stare at them, nearly jumping out of my skin at their unusual appearance.
"Hey!" Pierson directed towards no one in particular, "Can we join you guys?"
"Yeah, sure!" Cam gulps down the food in her mouth before replying, and they all take their seats, Grayson in the middle with the two others at his sides. The three boys were directly opposite us, Cam, Lucas, and I, now.
At this particular point, I knew what was about to happen, and man was I ready for it.
Nah! I am tired of it.
The rumors!
Just like I predicted, the whispers that had already begun, increased a tenfold. Like that wasn't enough, I allowed my gaze to roam around the whole cafeteria, and guess what? The whole student population or should I say eighty-eight point eight percent of students were gazing at our table. And out of that huge number, sixty percent of which were girls, probably fangirls, who were glaring at Cam and me, hard.
But like, what did we do?
It's not like we've stolen the boys from them, Grayson and his friends are all theirs to have and behold. I know these boys are popular and all, but it really means nothing, them sharing our table. Wish I could tell these fangirls that. I bet before I try to open this mouth of mine, they would have beaten me to a pulp already.
I turn my attention to my food, trying to block any nonsense that they would spew out from their lips any moment from now. They should endure the torture of not being in our stead just for a tad, lunch will be over very soon.
"So..??" Cam says, "What's happening?", directing to three boys right in front of us.
"Nothing. Why'd you ask?" I hear Pierson answer.
"You're on our table. It's not like I have a problem with it, just wondering how come."
"Well..." he trails and I raise my head to stare at him, "We wanted to have lunch with you guys. Or are we not allowed to?" Pierson says as he places their packed food, which I assume is homemade on the table.
"You're allowed to." Cam grins, "But it's just that the daggers these girls are shooting are so not cool."
"Ignore them," Cole utters and Cam and I look at him, surprised. He's the one barely to utter words.
"O-okay," Cam blinks. See!, he's made a stutter out of her just this minute.
"Guys! Eating whilst talking?! Bad table manners. Let's all eat." Lucas states.
"Before that, has anyone seen Dylan?" Cam asks.
"There he is." Grayson points and I turn, eager to see where my brother was. There he was, sitting at a table with Nicole Angelo, a few other boys and girls from our class, and two other juniors. They were laughing heartily.
Well, they're his business, not mine so I turn back to our table to see everyone eating their food in silence, so I do mine.
Five minutes passed and I was almost done with my food. I turn to Lucas who had stopped eating. He looked up at me as if he felt my stare, I wiggled my brows at him, motioning my head to the food before him. In the understanding of what I meant, he chuckles lightly under his breath. He shakes his head amusingly at me, before drawing closer to me and whispering a 'nothing' in my ear like I would take that for an answer.
I furrow my brows at him and this time around he talks out loud.
"I'm full." He says while patting his tummy.
I give him the 'really' look. "You didn't even eat half of it, and you're saying you're full?"
"I am." He says picking up a tissue.
Before I had the time to comprehend what was about to happen, he was already wiping my lips with it, and upon all my protests of taking the tissue and wiping it myself, he didn't comply but rather gave me a look that shut me up completely. Him wiping my lips with a tissue is nothing, so allow it.
"Messy eater." He finishes the wiping and ruffles my hair.
"I'm not your pet." I remove his hands from my head, "besides you're messing up my hair." I shoot daggers at him and he chuckles.
I stick my tongue out at him and he laughs the more.
"You're childish, you know?" he says pinching my cheeks.
"Never said I wasn't." Proud me, haha.
He raises his hands in mock surrender and I chuckle lightly under my breath.
Just then someone clears their throat, bringing my attention back to the fact that other people were on this table. Guess I forgot.
Cam grits in my ears, "What are you doing?"
I raise my brows at her, "I don't understand" I say.
She motions towards Grayson, so I turn to look at him. His head was bowed low, as he kept picking his food yet he wasn't bringing it to his lips. His jaw was set tight.
What's her point?
I turn to her, confused about what she's aiming at. I furrow my brows at her.
"Green-eyed monster." She whispers.
What the heck is she saying?
She scowls at me and shakes her head. She picks out her phone and types away on it. After she's done she shows it to me and it says.
'You and Lucas are making Grayson jelly.'
I take her phone and type, 'how?'.
She takes it back and replies, 'It seems like he doesn't know that you both are related, you know?.'
'I thought everyone knew that Lucas is my Cousin', I type back.
'I doubt. From the look of things he doesn't.'
'Then tell him or Pierson.'
'Sometimes you're just so dumb.'
"Not true," I say out loud.
'Can't you see Lucas is aiming at something?.' She types and shows it to me. I frown.
Is he?
