Read Luna on The Run â I Stole The Alphaâs Sons Chapter 63 Elena pauses, thinking before shaking her head.
âLike what? I have nothing to give you, Axton,â she tells me. âIâll bring them to see you, I promise, please. Just let me go home to them.â the desperation in her voice makes my stomach sink.
âTell me where they are.â I point to her food sitting on the coffee table, and she sighs, walking over and taking the arm- chair across from me. âAt least let me send my mother there. She knows where they are. The boys need formula, and I havenât got enough milk stored at home.â
âArenât you breastfeeding?â I ask her, taking a bite of my food.â Yes, but theyâre hungry constantly, and this is the most milk I have ever bloody had!â she growls, looking down at her full breasts filling my shirt and ruining it once again.
Elena sighs. âIâve been mix feeding, but none of the shops have had formula since you decided to strike over-â she falls silent as if she said too much, and I blink at her. âNever mind.â She grabs her plate. And I think for a second when it hits me.
Khan also presses forward at what I just learned. âYouâre close. Youâre still within my trade limits.â She doesnât answer, but I hear her heart rate spike. âIf you tell me which store I need to ensure gets supplies, I will make it happen.â
Elena scoffs.âNot a chance,â she growls, and I press my lips in a line. âI wonât take them from you, Elena.â
âYou sure about that? Because since you caught me, all you have done is demand I give them to you.â
she retorts. I shake my head before opening up the mindlink. Eli answers immediately.
âFind out which stores outside the city we supply to. Elena just let slip that she has been struggling to get formula be- cause our city went on strike.â
âOn it.â He quickly replies, and I watch her. She moves her food around on her plate but doesnât eat it.
Elena barely speaks to me after that and hardly touches her food. She has barely spoken the rest of the night and is fighting sleep, her anxiety level through the roof every time her head lulls, and she jolts awake again.
Yet as the night goes on, she gets more worried about needing to go home, her anxiety flooding into me from the one-sided bond. Which only enhances my anxiety about our sons. Yet I could tell she was not giving up her location any- time soon. If only I could get her to mark me, then I would be able to let her go, and she would lead me straight to them through the bond.
âElena,â I call to her as she stares out the window. I of- fered her my phone earlier to ring whoever was watching them, but she refused, saying I would have the call traced. Khan, feeling her distress urges me to do something, and I know I have no choice. Getting up, I grab my keys from the small safe, and she glances over at me.
âCome on, Iâll take you to a pay phone,â I tell her. âWe still have those?â
âYeah, one at a train station, the last one left in the City, if the dinosaur of a thing still works,â I tell her.
She watches me for a second, but I can tell she is even wary of using one.

She watches me for a second, but I can tell she is even wary of using one.
âFine, weâll purchase one of those burner phones or something. Just come on. Your anxiety is giving me bloody anxiety.â I tell her, and she jumps up.
She rushes toward the door before stopping when she finds it locked. I grab her hand and unlock it.
Her hand feels tiny in mine, also rather cold. I expect her to jerk away, but she doesnât, and I know itâs only because she wants to speak to whoever is watching our sons.
Leading her downstairs, she looked around, and I remem- bered she never saw this place because she was unconscious when I brought her in. She stops a few times, looking at the pictures on the walls.
âIt is a packhouse, well, my fatherâs house,â I tell her. âBut youâre new to the city?â She questions.
âYes, still his house. Well, now mine.â I inform her. Her confusion hits me, and she chews her lip before speaking.
âWhy did you kill him?â
âHe killed my mother two weeks before he bought this place. We were supposed to move here, but thenâ¦.it doesnât matter. This place stayed vacant for years before I decided it was time to come here.â
I tell her, tugging on her hand.
âIs that why you were so close to your grandfather?â she asks, and I nod while leading her to my car. I open her door and nudge for her to get in. She climbs in, and I peer down at her.
âDo I need to lock the doors to walk to the other side?â I ask her. She shakes her head, and I shut the door, half tempt- ed to still lock it in case she tries to run. Ignoring the urge, I 31 52%
move to the driverâs side and climb in, letting out a breath when I notice her clipping her seatbelt in.
Just as I start the car, Eli mindlinks me. âAny chance you can narrow it down a bit? We supply 71 towns between here and Crestview City.â I groan, clutching the steering wheel.
âIâll try to figure something out,â I tell him, cutting off the link and starting the car. The drive is silent, yet I could feel she wanted to say something.
âWhat, Elena?â I ask her, catching her glancing at me yet again.
âIâm sorry about your grandfather,â she whispers so softly before averting her gaze out the window. âItâs why I named one after him like you wanted. I didnât know Khan killed him. because I ran.â my grip tightened on the steering wheel.
Khan presses forward with me, urging me to keep talking to her, but I donât know what to say. I should apologize for my part, but it wouldnât be enough after hearing what Luke had to say.
âLet her go home,â Khan tells me.
âShe wonât come back.â Khan sighs, also worried about her not returning yet hates seeing her hurting.
We bought a burner phone, and I listened in as she talked to some woman to check on the boys.
âIâll hopefully be home tomorrow.â I hear her tell the wom- an. My eyes darken because I am worried about her leaving and not returning, yet I could always follow her, but I know she is too smart to think I wouldnât.
She kept the phone call brief, and the moment she was done hung up. She then smashed the phone on the ground with such force it made me jump, scaring the living daylights out of me.
âJeez, Elena.â I curse.
âAs if you wouldnât try to track the call,â she growls, and I shrug. Nevertheless, she seems to have calmed some.
âBit bloody extreme.â I retort. She raises an eyebrow at me, and I toss my smoke, push off my carâs hood, and walk around to the driverâs side, climbing into the car.
Yet when she doesnât immediately hop in, my hand reach- es for the door handle, but I jerk it back when I see her door open. Elena stares out the windshield. Stress etched into her beautiful face.
âElena, I..â She glances at me, and a sigh escapes me. âNothing, letâs head back,â I tell her, starting the car. Getting home, she doesnât fight me or tries to escape when Luke steps into the hall rubbing his eyes. âLuke?â she whispers, and I feel her excitement through the bond before she scoops the half-
asleep boy into her arms, squeezing him and peppering his face in kisses.
âOh, thank god, he didnât send you back,â she murmurs, burying her face in his neck while clutching him.
âYouâre gonna make me wee myself.â Luke chuckles, which explains why he is awake at such an ungodly hour. Ele- na sets him down on the ground, and he yawns. âAre we leav- ing?â he asks, and she hangs her head, dropping it on his shoulder as she crouches in front of him.
âHopefully soon. Alpha Axton doesnât think I will come back,â she tells him while I watch their exchange.
âBecause you ran?â he sighs, and she nods. Luke looks past her at me, where I am leaning against the wall. âSheâll come back, wonât you, Elena?â
âI want assurance she will,â I tell him before she can an-
swer.
âAssuranceâ-â
âWhereâs mom?â Elena asks him. âAsleep, Eli gave her some sleeping tablets.â Elena nods once and stands when Luke speaks.
âWhat about me? What if I stayed with you until she came back?â Luke blurts out, and I push off the wall while Elena quickly objects.
âNo, Luke. Weâll figure it out. Youâre not staying here. Itâs not safe.â
âBut Iâll be with him. He wonât let dad take me-â Luke mo-
tions toward me.
âIt doesnât work like that, Luke. Youâre not his son, and no. He doesnât know what to do with a kid.â she has a point, I kin- da donât, but Luke seems pretty easy to look after.
âHeâll be safe with me, Elena. I wonât let your father touch him.â
âSee, Elena. Then you can go home to them.â
âMom would never agree with this.â
âYes, she would. She likes Axton, thinks heâs a dick for what he did to you but likes what he did with the city. He is a good Alpha, just a shitty person.â I scoff at the boyâs brave words.
âWhat you are. You leaked a sex tape of your mate! My sister!â Luke shudders at his words, and Elenaâs face turns pink. âLike that time I walked in on mom and dad.â Luke gags, and I chuckle.
âOkay, bed now. Before I wake mom and tell her about what your potty mouth just said.â she scolds.
Luke sighs heav- ily as she nudges him back to the door when he shakes his head. âI need to pee first!â
he darts off, and I laugh as he races down the hall and into the bathroom.
I open my mouth to speak when Elena beats me to it. âNo, you arenât keeping my brother hostage.â
âHeâll be fine, Elena. Prove youâll bring them to me, and you can have him back.â I offer. She chews her lip, then shakes her head.
âI wonât let harm come to him; besides, I like your brother. He has no filter.â
âThatâs what Iâm worried about!â she retorts.
Luke returns, and she tucks him back in bed. She looked like she wanted to stay with him but reluctantly left and fol- lowed me to my room.
