Junhyuk entered his training facility. Charles would stand trial, and Junhyuk would seize all of Charlesâ assets. It was likely that Charles had non-declared assets, but for now, Junhyuk would seize those he had had to declare. The non-declared could be seized later.
With the money in hand, Junhyuk would create a foundation whose sole purpose would be to distribute that money to those affected by the terrorist attack and the monster waves.
Junhyuk raised his sword and swung it down slowly.
He had used his Dimensional Slash and Spatial Collapse against Eltor, but he hadnât managed to strike the real Eltor. Still, his Dimensional Slash had evolved.
The hydra had been able to sense his slash, but Eltor had not, and that meant that the attack had improved and that the Dimensional Slash had evolved. Nevertheless, Junhyuk come face-to-face with his own limitations.
Had his Dimensional Slash truly evolved, Junhyuk wouldâve been able to seriously damage Eltor. He needed a Dimensional Slash that nobody would be able to dodge.
âBut I need to see the enemyâs original self.â
Even if he asked Agenchra, the manager would not show him his real self. Junhyuk had kept up the investigation on his own. He really wanted to be able to see, and that was all he could think about.
Junhyuk closed his eyes and triggered Harmonizer. He wanted to see beyond dimensions to his enemyâs real self. The Spatial Collapse could suck anything, even through dimensions, so if the coordinates were right, he would be able to deal a real attack with that single strike.
However, there were limitations to his Spatial Collapse as well. For that reason, he needed to be able to use his Dimensional Slash.
It seemed impossible to see beyond dimensions, but he wanted to try.
Junhyuk was training with Harmonizer when he got a call from Artlan. The hero rarely contacted him first.
âI thought you were busy!â
âIâve cleaned up most of the mess. Did you fight?â
âDid I fight what?â
âI heard you fought against a manager.â
âWhen did you hear that?â Junhyuk asked.
âMy manager told me that someone fought against a manager.â
âYou shouldnât talk about it.â
âItâs fine. My team is highly ranked, so I get a lot of information. The manager you fought against will be severely punished. My manager didnât like the guy, so he was very chatty about it.â
âI was also told he would be punished.â
Agenchra had told him the same thing that Artlanâs manager had told the hero. Eltor would be severely punished.
âDid you use your Dimensional Slash?â
âI did, and the Spatial Collapse as well, but both failed to strike at the real self. The damage I dealt was lower than it appeared.â
âHmm. Really?â Artlan folded his arms and took a moment to think before saying, âThen, you must find their real selves.â
âI need for my attack to evolve so that managers wonât be able to dodge it.â
âRight. Then, invite me over.â
Junhyuk invited Artlan to the facility.
Artlan unsheathed his sabers and said, âYou have evolved, but you havenât been training. Youâll reach higher tiers if you spar.â
âI can increase my level just by sparring?â
âOf course! I havenât completed my skills yet, but Iâm ahead of you. You can reach even higher than now.â
âThank you.â
Junhyuk did not refuse the offer. Instead, he unsheathed his swords. Junhyuk hadnât completed or polished the Triple Yin Yang. In the Dimensional Battlefield, even his swordsmanship was restricted now.
He sparred with Artlan by himself.
Clang, clang, clang, clang!
They sparred without using powers for a long while. Junhyuk spent 30 percent of the time attacking and 70 percent defending. Artlan was very skilled with his dual sabers. He was highly focused the entire time, the more time he spent sparring, the more he improved.
They sparred once a day, and after that, Junhyuk drank and ate with Artlan while the hero gave him advice.
Artlan was teaching him the right way. Because of all the sparring sessions, Junhyuk was improving quickly.
On Thursday, Artlan looked at him and said, âLetâs check out your Dimensional Slash.â
âIt could be dangerous for you.â
âCall Sarang.â
With Sarang there, they could spar without worry. Junhyuk invited her, and she quickly appeared. When she saw him, she seemed shocked.
âBig brother!â
âWhat?â
âYou seem different.â
As a hero, Sarang had highly developed senses. She understood that he had grown.
âIâve been training.â
She looked at Artlan and smiled, saying, âYou shouldâve told me.â
âHe couldnât. Iâve been training him.â
âIâm jealous. I canât get through Vera with how busy she is.â
Junhyuk laughed and said, âThatâs Artlanâs fault.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âSomething like that.â
Artlan had dealt with the rebels, and because Vera was the leading mage in that world, she had a lot to deal with now.
Junhyuk laughed again and said, âIâm gonna use my Dimensional Slash. If Artlan gets healed, heal him, please.â
Artlan smirked and said, âYou canât crit me with it.â
âI know. Iâll aim at your arms and legs.â
Artlan extended his arms out wide and said, âDo it.â
The Dimensional Slash could be triggered immediately and suddenly, so Artlan couldnât sense it.
Through countless sparring sessions, Artlan had developed his sixth sense, so the hero wanted to find out how effective it was.
Junhyuk gathered his breath. His skills had improved. The Junhyuk that day could defeat the Junhyuk of the day before. He wanted to know just how much better he had gotten. He triggered Harmonizer and used his Dimensional Slash. The attack was aimed at Artlanâs left arm.
Artlan moved quickly, but the slash was faster.
Slash!
Artlanâs arm was nearly sliced off, so Sarang quickly healed him. The arm reattached entirely, and Artlan opened and closed his hand.
He had sensed the attack, but he had been late to move.
âLetâs try again.â
âLetâs do it after Sarangâs cooldown is up. Are you OK?â
Artlan was his teacher, so Junhyuk didnât feel good about cutting him.
With a smirk, the hero said, âIâd never had my arm sliced this easily. Itâs good practice.â
Artlan was enduring the pain. When the cooldown ended, Junhyuk raised his sword.
Artlan spread his arms wide and said again, âDo it.â
Junhyuk triggered his Dimensional Slash. The blade flashed, and Artlanâs arm started bleeding. However, this time, the cut only went through 30 percent of Artlanâs arm. Sarang healed him again, but Artlan had managed to dodge significantly more. How was that possible?
Shaking his head, Artlan opened and closed his hand.
âThis isnât easy.â
âHow did you dodge it?â
As the owner of the Dimensional Slash, Junhyuk knew his attack had evolved. He might not be able to strike at a managerâs self, but his slash was unavoidable.
Yet, Artlan had still managed to dodge about half of it.
âYou arenât the only one growing.â
Artlan was also learning. The hero was getting stronger, and Artlanâs sixth sense was able to detect the Dimensional Slash activation.
Junhyuk knew that, eventually, Artlan would be able to dodge it completely. If a spear that could pierce through anything couldnât hit, that spear would be useless.
âLetâs try again.â
Artlan raised his arms out wide and said, âIâm waiting.â
This time, the Dimensional Slash went through only 20 percent of Artlanâs arm. Sarang was stunned.
âThat injury is a lot smaller.â
âI have a long way to go still.â
Sarang healed him, and Junhyuk took the time to think about how the Dimensional Slash worked. He managed to understand the attack better and raised his sword.
âLetâs try again.â
âAnytime.â
Junhyuk triggered the slash, and even with Artlan using his sixth sense, the injury was greater than before. Half of Artlanâs arm was sliced through.
Sarang healed him immediately, and staring at him, Artlan said, âMy sixth sense is nothing. Your attack has evolved.â
âA little.â
Junhyukâs slash had evolved, but without hesitation, Artlan said, âDo it again. Iâll dodge it this time.â
Junhyuk valued Artlan a lot. The hero didnât mind losing an arm to get stronger. For that reason, Junhyuk decided to use his full strength.
His slash was improving with each time he triggered it. However, this time, Artlanâs arm was sliced only 20 percent of the way through. Artlanâs sixth sense was evolving faster than Junhyukâs Dimensional Slash.
Junhyuk refocused on his sword, and Artlan snapped his fingers at him and said, âCome. Iâll dodge it all this time.â
âIt wonât be that easy.â
Junhyuk used his Dimensional Slash, but it only scratched Artlan that time
