Junhyuk brought in more whiskey, but Artlan was drinking it faster than Junhyuk was able to replenish it. Artlan grabbed a bottle, and every gulp emptied it a bit. Eventually, there was no more whiskey.
Since Junhyuk had invited Artlan over, three days had passed.
When Artlan drank the last bottle, he asked, âIs it over?â
âIâll go out and check.â
âNo,â Arlan said while waving at Junhyuk to stop. He got up and added, âI should be going back now.â
âYouâre going back!?â
Artlan smiled.
âWeâve been training for three days. Do you want more?â
Artlan rarely smiled, and Junhyuk sighed at his response.
âIâm just getting used to the basics, and youâre heading back.â
âYouâve improved in these three days. You should be glad.â
âBut, I only managed the basics. I need a lot more work.â
âYou can do that while you fight.â
Junhyuk didnât have any enemies with whom he could train while fighting, and on Earth, nobody could match him yet.
Artlan realized Junhyuk was disappointed, but he said, âI canât stay any more than this. I have my own work to do.â
Those heroes were like emperors and rulers in their dimension. If they stayed any longer, problems could arise where they were from.
âCan I invite you over later?â
âAfter the next battle, Iâll come back, but youâll need to have more drinks available.â
âIâll definitely get those ready.â
Artlan nodded and turned to the others. Halo and Nudra also nodded.
âGood thinking. Weâll come back later.â
Diane walked over to him and grabbed his butt.
âDo I have to go?â
âYou can stay here if youâd like.â
Diane smiled at that but replied, âI want to stay, but I better get back. Elves are busier than we seem.â
âIs it time for us to go already?â Vera asked.
Artlan shrugged and replied, âYou can stay longer if youâd like.â
âMy magic tower is also busy.â
Artlan turned to the group and declared, âIt feels like weâve done something right.â
Vera smirked.
âYes! I learned some magic engineering. I can use that to change the course of my magic towerâs history.â
Artlan shook his head and said, âYou should slow down development. You have no heir.â
âHm⦠You know itâs hard to find an heir. You found yours through the Dimensional Battlefield.â
âYou have Sarang.â
âTrue!â Vera hugged Sarang and said, âThe children should learn magic engineering.â
âNothing good will come of your magic tower getting even stronger,â Halo said.
Nudra shrugged and declared, âThere is always a limit, so who cares about what she makes?â
Junhyuk suddenly became curious and asked, âDo you all live near each other?â
With a shrug, Artlan replied, âThe continent is so big, we hardly ever see each other there.â
Junhyuk nodded. Even if someone else got a hold of magic engineering technology, that person wouldnât be able to fight against the heroes. However, when heroes were on par with each other, magic engineering could be the deciding factor.
But, these heroes werenât interested in that.
âShe is definitely superior at dimensional understanding,â Gongon told Junhyuk.
âYeah?â
Vera could transport items through dimensions, and Gongon had concluded that she was superior to him at dimensional magic. Still, Vera had also learned from Gongon.
Sarang and Elise were smiling. They had to have learned the most out of the four. Their expressions said it all.
âGongon, do you also have to go?â
âI should be heading back.â
Gongon had learned a lot, and he wanted to test out the things he had learned.
Junhyuk nodded and said, âOK, Gon. Weâll practice the Dimensional Slash next time.â
Gongon nodded, waved at him and disappeared.
Nudra and Halo had heard mention of the Dimensional Slash for the first time.
âDimensional Slash?!â
Artlan answered curtly, âHe wants to evolve the Spatial Slash to reach an enemy in another dimension.â
âHA?! Is that even possible?â
Halo did not believe it was, but Nudra thought differently, saying, âIt wonât be like a normal evolution. Itâll be more like triggering an entirely different power.â
âRight.â
âIt wonât be easy.â Nudra placed a hand on Junhyukâs shoulder and added, âItâs an entirely new concept, but you can do it.â
âI hope so.â
Artlan said, âBefore trying to complete the Dimensional Slash, look back through all of your powers.â
âI will.â
âYou have the basics now, so look into yourself. Look into your own swordsmanship.â
âYes.â
After Artlan said his piece, he disappeared. He did so without looking back.
Vera buried him in her voluptuous breasts and said, âThanks for the invitation. I hadnât had a chance to give you a hug.â
âItâs fine.â
Vera seemed about to cry, but she smiled and disappeared. Halo patted his shoulder and disappeared. Layla said goodbye and left.
âArtlan is very lucky to have you. You could be his heir,â Nudra said.
âDonât you have a disciple of your own?â
âI do, but he is not even a champion yet.â
Becoming a champion was hard.
Nudra patted his shoulder and waved goodbye.
âThen, see you soon.â
Only Diane remained now. She grabbed his butt and said, âCall me again.â
âSee you next time.â
When Diane left, Sarang and Elise sighed. Eliseâs eyes were beaming, and she said, âI have to go build something right now.â
Sarangâs eyes were beaming as well.
âMe too! Me too!â
Junhyuk smiled at them and said, âRight. I have more training to do. Letâs all head to our facilities.â
Sarang and Elise left, and Junhyuk looked around his training facility. There were only empty bottles and plates left, and he put them all in his Spatial Bag. He would throw them out later.
Junhyuk sat in the center of the facility. He had decided to combine all three swordsmanships into one: his own, and Akshaâs and Dentraâs swordsmanships.
In those three days, Artlan, Halo and Nudra had helped him fix his swordsmanship. His wild style had improved tremendously, but he still lacked something.
Junhyuk had only mastered the basics, so he would train and look into himself to make improvements to his techniques.
He would need an opponent with him to practice, but for the time being, he would train alone. He was looking deep within himself to bring forth the best sword.
Junhyuk couldnât go as far as when he died in the Dimensional Battlefield, but he imagined Artlan as his enemy.
Artlanâs own sword style was like his swordsmanship. Junhyuk imagined that Artlan was still there, and he ran mock battles in his mind. He could almost hear Haloâs and Nudraâs voices when he did something wrong. When he thought that, he corrected himself. Training alone was a slow process, and it took a long time.
There was nobody teaching him now, but he made progress, and as he did, he sped up his movements. He felt his vision was improving as well.
He was very curious about what was happening to his body, but suddenly, he heard Arielâs voice.
[How have you been?]
âWhatâs going on?!â
Junhyuk had been summoned while training, and his reaction left Ariel tense.
[Umm⦠You can watch the champions. Do you want to?]
Junhyuk realized it was Friday already. Artlan had left on Wednesday, and after that, he had lost track of time training by himself.
âIâm hungryâ¦â
[Do you want to eat?]
âThatâs possible?â
[You can have whatever you want.]
âA sirloin steak!â
As soon as he said those words, a roasted sirloin appeared in front of him. Junhyuk ate it quickly.
âWhich team is first?â
[Eliseâs team.]
âOK. Show me the battle.â
Junhyuk ate some more while he watched. The sirloins were delicious, and they melted in his mouth.
He was enjoying himself, and the battle began.
