Junhyukâs expression hardened. If his enemy was a hero, he couldnât be sure of whether he could kill that hero. An enemy hero might have been born a hero, unlike Junhyuk.
Junhyuk had become a hero by activating powers, one by one, in the Dimensional Battlefield. Some heroes joined the Dimensional Battlefield as heroes, being qualified for that tier from the beginning.
Until he became a hero, Junhyuk had needed to learn the basics from Artlan. He was now learning about Akshaâs Longsword, but what about his enemy?
If his enemy had begun as a hero, that enemy would be a very difficult opponent. Junhyuk didnât want to face that trial alone. He had a weird feeling about it.
âArtlan, you said that heroes can cross dimensions, but this time, they showed up from a dimensional tear with monsters in towâ¦â
âIf there are monsters and they used a dimensional tear, the managers must have something to do with it.â
The managers of the Dimensional Battlefield, especially Eltor.
Junhyuk scowled and said, âThat asshole!â
He didnât know how to complete his Dimensional Slash so that he could attack the managers, but he was still furious.
âWhen I kill these heroes, can I pick up their items?â he asked.
âOf course.â
Junhyuk opened and closed his hands repetitively. It wouldnât be easy. If there were more than two heroes, even with his high attack stat and spatial powers, things would be difficult.
âThanks for the advice.â
Artlan grabbed a bottle and said, âYou are the only one of my students who has become a hero. Donât die in some stupid way. If you act stupid, Iâll go over to Earth to teach you a lesson.â
âCanât you come now?â
âDonât you know how expensive it is to cross dimensions?â
Junhyuk smiled. Artlan would avenge him if the worst happened. That was his way of expressing his feelings, so Junhyuk bowed to him and said, âIâll live.â
Artlan took another shot and disconnected.
Junhyuk knew he couldnât go to the center of the fog at that moment, so he quickly retreated with Ganesha. When he rejoined Sarang, she asked, âWhy have you come back?â
He told her about what Artlan had told him, âThis is called Dark Fog. Black mages of the eighth circle can cast it.â
âEighth circle?!â
Because Sarang was surprised by that, Junhyuk asked, âWhat? Is that really high?â
Sarang nodded and said, âI have all those intelligence runestones, but Iâm only at the sixth circle.â She sighed and added, âVera told me Iâm learning faster than anyone sheâs ever taught.â
Junhyuk didnât know anything about the circles, so he asked, âIs the black mage more powerful than you?â
âAs far as spells go, yes, but I have other powers. Technically, with my powers, Iâm equivalent to a mage of the ninth circle.â
âReally?â
Sarangâs Thunderstorm could decimate heroes. With better equipment, her powers would only get stronger.
Junhyuk took a moment to think and said, âIf there are heroes here, I donât know how many there are. We have to move together.â
Sarangâs had her ultimate, so she wouldnât die. Once it triggered, she could always run away.
He turned to the champions. Heroes could easily kill champions, but the champions could also help out.
Jeffrey stepped forward and said, âI want to help.â
âYou might die.â
Jeffrey had a Ghost White Tiger, and there were heroes that couldnât kill one of those. If the Ghost White Tiger went berserk, it would really help them. On top of that, Jeffrey could lock down a hero.
He didnât know about who their enemies were at that moment, so Junhyuk couldnât make up his mind. Knowing that he might lose them, Junhyuk didnât really want to take the champions with him.
The champions had been training to fight dragons, and they all walked up to him. They werenât heroes, but they were powerful. They could certainly help.
Ling Ling spoke up for them, saying, âAllow us to help you.â
Sarang looked him in the eyes and bowed in support.
Junhyuk sighed quickly and said, âThere are heroes inside the fog. You know all about heroes, right? Weâre on Earth, and there are no extra lives.â
Ling Ling stared at him resolute.
âYouâll be with us. Will it still be that dangerous?â
He nodded and explained, âIf there is a lone hero, weâll trounce them. If there are two, weâll still overpower them. Three might be a problem. Four, and weâll all be in danger.â
Junhyuk bit his lips and concluded, âIf there are five heroes inside the fog, weâll get demolished.â
âBut all the champions will join you.â
If all of the champions used their powers, they would be able to stop one or two heroes. On top of that, they could buy him time.
In the Dimensional Battlefield, he wouldâve attacked with them, but now, he couldnât make up his mind.
âIf you champions can distract two enemies, our success rate will go up. Youâll have to risk your lives, so I wonât force you to do it.â
The champions looked at each other and turned to him.
âWe will fight.â
âOK. Then, weâll get things ready,â he replied.
The Dark Fogâs radius reached three kilometers horizontally, but the fog wasnât very tall at all. It reached about a hundred meters from the ground. That meant that it was also a hundred meters from the top of the mountain.
âWeâll take our drones to just above the fog. Then, weâll jump in. Donât ignore the height of the fall.â
Everyone frowned. They were worried about falling from a hundred meters up.
He looked at them and said, âIâll teleport with you. If everyone holds hands, I can take you all.â
They all nodded. There were nine champions, and they all got on their drones. Before they left, Junhyuk told Eunseo about the situation.
Missiles wouldnât work against heroes normally, but if the enemies received a direct hit, a missile could kill them, so Junhyuk told Eunseo about the possibility of all of them dying. He told her to use the missiles if that happened. He told Eunseo that she should raze Dobong Mountain with napalm if that happened.
Eunseo nodded heavily and ordered an aircraft carrier to remain on standby.
âDonât die on me.â
Junhyuk smiled. He didnât want to die.
Junhyuk got on the drone and flew out. The champions followed him. All nine champions and Sarang were with him, and they all headed for the fog.
They headed for the top of Dobong Mountain. There, he extended his left hand for Sarang, and they all held each othersâ hands. Looking at them, he said, âLetâs go.â
He teleported all of them into the fog. He couldnât see his enemies, but his spatial sense was telling him that something was moving.
The enemies couldnât sense him like he could them, so he attacked immediately. Akshaâs Longsword flashed.
Clang!
Someone blocked his attack. He could see his enemy then. His opponent was holding a scythe while riding a skeleton horse.
âAlondo?!â
The hero on his horse looked down at him. Skulls didnât smile, but he got the impression that Alondo was smiling.
âI was waiting for you to arrive.â
Junhyuk was speechless. He didnât think Alondo would go that far.
The hero was skilled. He could push Junhyuk to his limits with his scythe. Junhyukâs eyes beamed however. He was on Earth, and his powers were stronger there. On top of that, he could still use mana.
Though he couldnât see, he had his spatial sense. With it, he sensed that there were four within the fog.
âDid you bring your whole team?â
âYouâre worth it.â
Junhyuk was speechless. He had thought Alondo to be an honorable knight, but now, the hero was scoffing at him.
Junhyuk was furious.
âIf Iâd known youâd do this, I wouldâve kicked your ass more often.â
If he had taken all of Alondoâs items, the hero wouldnât have dared to go to Earth.
Alondo, who was at ease, said, âHere, things will be different.â
The black mage of the eighth circle had to be the most powerful of the bunch. At that moment, Junhyuk decided who he would kill first. Epilen had a stealth power, so the hero would be his first target.
Junhyuk couldnât sense the last enemy hero, who was probably the skeleton archer, Penslin.
He had to kill them fast, so he ran toward Epilen and shouted, âAttack Alondo!â
Lightning bolts fell from the sky.
