Junhyuk contacted the allies at once, beginning with Sarang. She seemed tense.
âHow is it going?â
âIâll probably lose the buff.â
Sarang was at the watchtower, so the enemy heroes couldnât approach her easily. A weak hero would die from her Thunderstorm.
Her Thunderstormâs range was quite long, so even if the enemies had long range attacks, they wouldnât necessarily attack first. Could an enemy who had been hit with the Thunderstorm still come at her? The enemies had to be decisive. If not, advancing wouldnât be possible.
In the meantime, the enemies stayed where they were. However, she could lose the buff tower to them. Sarang couldnât leave the watchtower and deal with two enemies at the same time. Her defense wasnât that strong.
She could use her ultimate in her fight with her enemies, but she shouldnât fight alone.
âIâll check to see if someone can support you.â
Junhyuk contacted Abel next.
âAbel, how is the left?â
âItâs going well. We destroyed the first watchtower and are pushing on to the second. Layla headed middle.â
âLayla wonât get there in time. From now on, whenever your ultimate is off cooldown, you go back to Sarang.â
âThey are pushing center?â
âNo necessarily. However, if the situation continues as is, we might lose the buff tower.â
âOK. Iâll do that.â
Abel disconnected, and Junhyuk contacted Gongon.
âGon, how was Abel?â
Gongon scowled and said, âI tried to kill him.â
âWhy?â
âHe dealt the last hit and picked up the item from the hero Layla and I worked hard to bring down.â
Junhyuk knew that Abel had a high attack stat. Besides, Abelâs power could deal an absurd amount of damage. If his power landed on the 300-percent damage, he wouldâve dealt the last hit even if he hadnât meant to.
âWeâll just watch him to see if it was intentional.â
âI donât like him.â
Gongon was being curt, which meant that Gongon found him repulsive. Junhyuk should hold off on including Abel on the team. He was not sure about what to do about Abel.
âWeâll push for a team battle first and then make our judgements, OK?â
âSure. What are you going to do?â
âI destroyed the second watchtower on the right path, so Iâm moving middle to take the second watchtower there.â
âAre we gathering middle.â
âYou should continued to push the left. If too many enemies head your way, you can retreat.â
âOK.â
As Junhyuk walked, Elise, who was watching him, asked, âWhen can we join Gongon?â
âProbably once we have a team battle.â
During the team battle, everyone would be together, and Elise was looking forward to working with Gongon.
Junhyuk said calmly, âAfter destroying the second tower, weâll go see Bebe. You should get a communication crystal so you can talk to Gongon.â
Elise smiled at him.
âIâve brought a few things to sell.â
Junhyuk nodded, looked at the minions and said, âLetâs pick up our pace.â
As he said that, a card appeared in midair, and Abel appeared right after it. Abel looked at him and clicked his tongue.
âLetâs move together for ten minutes,â Junhyuk said, bringing up the conversation he had with Gongon after, âI heard from Gongon that you dealt the last hit.â
âI pulled the 300-percent damage attack. The enemy was running away, but I was only trying to catch him.â
Like Junhyuk had thought, Abel hadnât done it intentionally, so he decided to hold off judgement on the hero.
âLetâs move.â
Abel didnât say anything, simply shuffling his cards as he followed Junhyuk. Junhyuk sped up, and after ten minutes, Abel pulled a card and disappeared. Junhyuk was curious about where Abel had gone, but he did not try to search for him. After a while, he got a call from Sarang.
âWhat is this person?â
âWhy?â
âAn enemy suddenly got much stronger, and he died. I killed the two enemies at the end, but Iâm speechless.â
âHis powers are hit-or-miss. One of the possible effects increases an enemyâs attack by 50 percent.â
âThatâs a laughable power. He stepped forward and got killed. Although I was able to kill the two, one of them took his item.â
âThatâs fine. All of his items buff his health. He is covered in health items, which means that enemyâs attack stat should be high.â
âOne of them deals descent damage. That was the one who got buffed, so he got shockingly strong. I had to use my ultimate.â
Abel had been there for her, which is how she managed to kill the enemies. Junhyuk laughed bitterly.
âSince you killed them, come down. Letâs destroy the second tower.â
âSure.â
Junhyuk disconnected. He was still stunned as he thought about Abel. The allies were powerful now. They wouldnât lose in single combat, so the enemies had to come at them in groups. They could become legends by killing enemies and getting more equipment.
Abelâs power wasnât necessarily threatening, but what if he buffed the enemy? That could be a problem. Junhyuk shook his head as he ran. He wanted to join up with Sarang.
The buff was important, and that was still on his mind, so he connected to Layla.
âWhere are you?â
âItâll take some time to reach the buff tower.â
âSarangâs killed the enemies there, and sheâs coming down. We still need to occupy the buff tower, however.â
âThen, go to the second watchtower. Iâll head there as well. Weâll block the enemiesâ advance, so we wonât lose the buff tower.â
After thinking about it, Junhyuk nodded.
âOK. Letâs do that.â
Junhyuk, Layla and Sarang could deal with any enemy that came their way. If the mantis and the porcupine heroes were their average combatants, the three would be able to kill all five enemy heroes.
As he moved along, Junhyuk connected to Abel, who had revived, and explained the plan.
âUse your ultimate to move. Head to the buff tower, take the buff, and then join up with the rest of the allies.â
Abelâs ultimate was rather useful.
âWill do.â
Abelâs ultimate use was successful. He appeared next to Sarang, who was closest to the buff tower. Abel moved toward the buff, and Sarang headed for the second enemy watchtower.
While moving, the allies were buffed again. The three reached the second watchtower, but there were four enemy heroes there. None of them looked humanoid.
The mantis and the porcupine were there, but there was also a scorpion hero and a spider hero, who used two of its legs as actual legs and the other six as arms. They had brought two hundred minions along with them. The enemies had already lost three times that, so after taking two hundred minions with them, they only had two hundred left at the castle. Junhyuk knew they were determined to win that time.
One of the enemies was missing, so that hero had to have gone either left or right, but Junhyuk didnât care about that. All he had to do was kill the four heroes in front of him, and the allies would win.
Abel had probably gone to Gongon, but he also didnât care if Abel was missing. He turned to the allies. Junhyuk had brought 65 minions, and Sarang had 74 left. Combined, they had 139. On top of that, the allies had Elise, their expert.
The enemies were staying by the watchtower, so that posed a problem. However, the allies had plenty of long range attacks. On top of that, Elise could summon Zaira, who had the missiles.
âShall we attack?â
âWhatâs the plan?â
âI want to know more about their powers. I killed the porcupine before he could use anything. However, the mantis has a rush and a howl that pushes his enemies back.â
Layla looked at the spider and said, âThat spider must be an attacker. It has the most damaging power of all of them. He can throw six small spears with his six hands, and he has perfect dodge. That scorpion is a standard physical defender. His defense stat is really high, but his magic defense is worthless.â
Sarang continued from where Layla had stopped, âThe scorpion has a poison spit that paralyzes the opponent. When I was with Layla, we didnât come across that, but the scorpion paralyzed Abel.â
Junhyuk could guess what had happened. They didnât know all of their enemiesâ powers because they had easily killed them.
He scoped them out.
âWe donât know anything about the porcupineâs powers, so letâs kill him first.â
Layla nodded and looked at the allied camp.
âWhat about the minions?â
âDivide into three teams. Two teams will make shield walls at the front, and the other team will protect the expert.â
Looking at Elise, Layla asked, âCanât the expert help us?â
âSure, but we donât need her right now.â
Layla nodded, and Junhyuk walked over to Elise and extend his Blood Rune Sword at her.
âBuff me.â
Elise extended her hand toward the Blood Rune Sword, and it shone suddenly. Junhyuk inspected it and saw that the sword had gained an additional buff.
Even without fighting, Elise could help.
âShe had a buff?!â
âThe cooldown is too long, so we can only use it on one person for now.â
âIf she develops that power further, sheâll be of great help.â
Junhyuk smiled and looked at the enemies.
âBeing able to buff multiple allies would be nice. Shall we go?â Junhyuk asked, and Layla unsheathed her katana. He and Layla ran forward, with Sarang right behind them.
The mantis and the scorpion stepped forward and shouted, âAttack!â
The allies did not order their minions forward. Instead, they made the minions defend. They wanted to use the minions when they attacked the enemy castle.
The mantis and the scorpion were in the front, and the spider was right behind them. The porcupine was bringing up the rear.
Junhyuk looked at Layla and said, âFollow the plan.â
Junhyuk teleported and appeared in front of the enemy minions. He used his Spatial Slash immediately, and because he was buffed by Elise, the strike triggered extra damage, and the attack killed the porcupine.
The enemy minions attacked him from all sides, and the mantis rushed him. The scorpionâs claws opened up wide as the hero ran at Junhyuk.
Junhyuk swung his swords against the minions, and Layla passed him by. She attacked the mantis, who got launched in the air. The mantis had rushed, but Layla had negated that with the launch, which also meant she had overpowered the mantis.
âOK!â
Junhyuk used his jumping skill to reach the mantis.
