âAbel! Hubby!â Emmeline yelled, âYou canât hide from me!â
Abel ran to the second floor to enter his bedroom, then closed the door.
The next second, he rushed into the bathroom and lay on the sink. His nosebleeds flowed down.
Luckily! A little later, that woman would see my embarrassed appearance. If she sees me having a nosebleed because of her, sheâll be complacent and laugh at me to death! I donât love her! Nosebleeds are just a natural reaction and have nothing to do with love!
Kendra came downstairs and saw Emmeline pouting and grunting.
âHow is it, Ms. Emmeline? Did Mr. Abel respond?â
âHeâs abstinent!â Emmeline complained, âHe ran away!â
âNo rush,â Kendra reassured her, âIf you keep it up, youâll succeed. Letâs take our time. He wonât refuse you sooner or later.â
âBut my purpose isnât to seduce him.â Emmeline was a little worried. âWhat I want is for him to fall in love with me. Thatâs more difficult than seduction.â
âTake your time.â Kendra continued to comfort Emmeline. âAfter all, you two live together. Mr. Abel will fall in love with you again.â
Emmeline scratched her hair. âI finally understand how Janie feels. Arenât Abel and I the same as her and Benjamin?â
âBut you and Mr. Abel have children,â Kendra said, âIf it doesnât work, bring the quadruplets here.â
âI already thought to do so,â Emmeline said, âBut I canât bring them here.â
âWhy not? Children are the link between husband and wife.â
âBut if the quadruplets see that Abel doesnât love me anymore, theyâll make a big fuss and backfire.â
âThatâs right.â Kendra nodded. âIf they see their father doesnât love their mother anymore, theyâll get hurt.â
âSo we canât pick up quadruplets for the time being.â
âItâs difficult.â Kendra frowned. âYou two used to be a good couple. But nowâ¦â
Emmeline said, âLetâs not talk about this for now. Letâs cook first. Iâll continue to think about it when Iâm full.â
âYou go upstairs to find Mr. Abel. Leave the dinner to me.â
âThat wonât work. If I want Abel to be interested in me, I must cook it myself.â
Emmeline ran upstairs to change her clothes in the guest room, then went downstairs to cook with Kendra in the kitchen.
After two hours, a sumptuous dinner was ready.
Emmeline went upstairs to call Abel. âHubby, itâs time to eat.â
There was no sound in the room. Abel was busy in front of the computer.
âHubby.â Emmeline knocked on the door again. âItâs time for dinner.â
Only then did Abel open the door, but Emmeline bumped into him.
Abel reached to push her back. âThis kind of trick doesnât work.â
âI didnât use tricks!â Emmeline pouted aggrievedly. âI almost fell over.â
âReally?â Abel snorted coldly. âBut you seem to bump into me on purpose.â
âOn purpose?â Emmeline refuted angrily, âAbel, whatâs wrong if I did that on purpose? Are you someone else?â
âOf course not!â
âThatâs right! Youâre my man. Whatâs wrong with me throwing myself into you? Have I broken the law?â
Emmeline successfully retorted Abel, and his expression darkened. No matter if he had no feelings for Emmeline, he was her husband and the father of four children. It was an indisputable fact.
âGo for dinner!â Abel walked past Emmeline and left the bedroom.
âSh*t!â Emmeline followed behind him and shook her fist at his back.
Abel seemed to have eyes behind him and turned around suddenly. Now Emmeline slammed into his arms firmly.
âWhat do you want to do behind me?â Abel grabbed and lifted Emmeline. âYouâre quite brave!â
âThen youâd better not eat the food I made!â Emmeline shouted angrily, âBe careful that Iâll give you laxative!â
âYouâd better not do that!â Abel snorted coldly. âIâll cut you into pieces!â
He put Emmeline down, and they argued as they went downstairs.
