Helios was crying his eyes out in Evelynâs arms.
âHush now, hush now, honey.â Evelyn gently patted his head.
âHelios!â Abel rushed over to him and asked, âHow are you?â
âDaddy!â Helios cried. âThat scared me to death!â
âItâs fine. Itâs fine now.â Abel hugged Helios while Evelyn sat on the floor. She looked pale and her forehead was covered in sweat.
âAre you okay? Are you hurt?â Abel asked.
Evelyn looked at her arm and said, âOuch, Iâve cut my arm and itâs bleeding.â
The commotion alerted Luca as he rushed over with a few bodyguards. They did not even have time to react due to how sudden everything happened. Abel handed Helios to Luca and comforted Evelyn.
âOuch.â Evelyn groaned before collapsing into Abelâs arms. âMy legâ¦â
Abel held onto her and noticed the swollen bruise on her ankles. He said, âOh no, youâre hurt.â
âIt hurts really bad.â Evelyn sobbed.
So, Abel carried her in his arms and left the crowd.
Benjamin cradled Emmeline and allowed her to lie in his arms. He did not want her to see what happened, but she did and this hurt her so much that she cried.
âHush now Emma. Itâs alright.â Benjamin comforted her. He continued, âAbel was just helping her and he absolutely resents her. I watched him kick her out of his office.â
âBut if this goes on, Iâm worried that they might fall for each other. What should I do then? I still have four kids.â
âItâs fine.â Benjamin patted her back and said, âYour health matters more. I will come up with something to deal with this. Besides, you are smart and you must have a way to get him to fall for you again.â
âBut feelings are different, right?â Emmeline sobbed and said, âYou big dummy! Why must you stick your nose into thisâ¦â
âYou canât blame me,â replied Benjamin as he continued, âI mean weâre worried about his life and he wonât be able to live if your life is in danger. What do you think will happen to your kids then?â
âYeah.â Emmeline sobbed and said, âLetâs try to think of something when we get back. I will make sure that dummy falls for me again.â
âYeah and I will help you,â said Benjamin before kissing her on her forehead as he said, âLetâs go, princess.â

After getting her ankle back in place, the doctor said, âPlace an ice pack on the bruise for 24 hours. Sheâll be fine after a few days.â
Abel nodded after that. He felt guilty because she only got hurt for saving Helios.
âIâm fine, Abel,â Evelyn stared at Abel and said, âYou can send me back to my hotel. Iâll be fine in a few days.â
