# was about to ask you the same question. Are you here to kidnap the kids?â asked Abel in a cold tone.
âThey are my kids! I just want to bring them home,â said Adrien.
âWe are not going with you! We are not going to leave Mommy!â said Helios.
âThatâs right!â said Endymion.
âWe are not leaving!â said Hesperus.
âAlright, alright! Weâll discuss that later.â Adrien tried to calm the situation.
âGet lost, now!â Emmeline raised the wooden spoon again.
Adrien quickly hid behind Abel.
âCan you let him go? For my sake, please?â asked Abel.
âWhy would I let him go for your sake? Who do you think you are?â Emmeline was furious.
âIâm someone you will work together on the Adelmar Group project. Iâm here to discuss work,â said Abel.
âShouldnât you discuss work at the office? Why do you come to the cafe?â asked Adrien.
âIâm hiding from Mom and Grandad,â said Abel. He frowned and looked pale.
âHaha! I knew it! You must be troubled because Auntie Rosaline wants you to marry Alana, and Grandad wants you to marry the Wonder Doctor. Am I right?â Adrien laughed.
Abel responded with a low groan.
âSeems like my decision to stay single is correctâ¦â Adrien was gloating when he saw Emmelineâs reaction. He quickly covered his mouth and left with his car. His bodyguards followed behind.
Emmeline took a look outside of the cafe. She did not see Abelâs bodyguardâs car.
Did he come here alone?
âAre you not going to invite me in for a coffee?â asked Abel gently.
âCome on in,â said Emmeline.
The children quickly welcomed Abel into the cafe. They prefer Abel over Adrien even though Adrien was their birth father.
#
Abel gently caressed the childrenâs heads. âThank you, dearies. Go play. talk to Mommy.â Abel did not realize he had misspoken until it was too late.
âIâm sorry.â He apologized.
âItâs okay.â Emmeline blushed and poured Abel a cup of coffee.
âDo the kids always play upstairs?â asked Abel.
âYes. The first floor is the cafe, and we live on the second floor. The third floor is vacant, so the kids usually play there.â Emmeline was still avoiding looking at Abel.
âThe third floor is vacant?â asked Abel.
âYes. We donât need that much space,â said Emmeline.
âCan you rent the space to me?â asked Abel.
âWhy do you want to rent the space?â Emmeline was surprised.
âI want to move out and stay here. Mom and Grandad are driving me crazy!â Abel explained.
âReally? Alright, Iâll give you a five percent discount on the rent and utilities,â said Emmeline.
âIâll prepay one year of rent to you. Tell me the amount.â Abel took out his phone and transferred the money.
âIâll be back with my stuff. See you later,â said Abel.
âIâll clean the room for you.â Emmeline went upstairs.
Abel finished his coffee excitedly before leaving in his car, âMr. Ryker, howâs everything?â Luca called Abel from his car that was parked around the corner.
