The triplets and Timothy watched Emmeline and Abel at work in the kitchen.
The scene in the kitchen was undoubtedly harmonious. The man and the woman looked like a married couple!
All four children were thinking, If only weâre a happy family. That would be amazing!
âSigh,â Timothy sighed.
Sun sighed too.
Mood said, âI know why youâre sighing.â
âThatâs right,â Star said, âIf only they didnât have to be apart from each other.â
But what could they do to make them stay together?
âCome with me,â Timothy said to the triplets âWhy?â Sun did not want to miss the interactions between the adults in the kitchen.
Moon and Star thought the same thing.
âIf you want Daddy and Mommy to be together forever, youâll have to come with me!â Timothy said.
The triplets ran up the stairs happily.
Timothy led them into Abelâs study upstairs and closed the door.
âLetâs have a meeting and think of ideas on how to make them stay together.â
âI want that, but what can we do?â Sun pouted and said.
âMaybe we can trap them together in some place,â Timothy said.
㧠âWhy do we have to trap them?â
Sun did not understand.
Moon added, âThatâs right.
Mommy is very busy.â
âDaddy too,â Star said. âRyker Group needs him.â
âWhatâs more important than making Mommy and Daddy stay together so we can have a complete family?â Timothy said.
The triplets thought about it and Bhook their heads. âNothing!â
âThatâs right! Nothingâs more important!â Timothy said.
Sun frowned. âHow can we make them stay together?â
Moon said softly, âI think they had a big argument a few days ago.â
Star nodded. âSam told me they didnât want to see each other again.â
Timothy said, âWe can make them fall in love with each other again.â
âMm, thatâs right. If they stay together, theyâll eventually fall in love again.â
âThey might go past the point of no return too.â
âBeauty is in the eye of the beholder.â
âNow youâre thinking what Iâm thinking,â Timothy said. âLetâs create an opportunity so they can fall in love with each other.â
âLetâs trap them together!â Sun said.
âHee hee, I think I have an idea,â Moon said.
âI know you have ideas. Youâre a master hacker!â Star said.
âTell us! What is it?â Timothy said.
The boys huddled together. âItâs like thisâ¦â Moon told them his idea.
âHahaha, I think that works!â Sun elapped his hands happily.
âI think it works too,â Timothy said. âIâll be Moonâs assistant.â
âIâll keep watch!â Star said.
âThat decides it!â
The four boys high-fived each other.
âThis is our secret. We canât tell anyone!â
âAnyone who tattles is a little puppy!â
âRight! Arf arf!â
âWe wonât play with him anymore!â
âMmhmmâ¦â
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Abel and Emmeline were still busy cooking.
Emmeline was humming a little tune.
âDonât move,â Abel suddenly said.
âWhy?â Emmeline was surprised. Her hand that was holding a ladle froze in mid-air.
âYour apron came loose. Iâll help you fix it.â
Emmeline lowered her head. Her apron had indeed come loose.
She lifted her elbows so Abel could fasten it.
Abel put away the tools in his hands and stood behind Emmeline.
After fastening the apron, he hugged Emmeline.
Emmeline jolted like she was struck by electricity.
âDonât move,â Abel whispered intimately in her ear. âBe careful of the pot.â
