Xavier's POV-Lucas came up and was about to enter the room but I stopped him by the door."Boss, everything is cleared. He is sent to your office's dungeon. The house's dungeon is not a good idea. I took the decision myself. I am here to tell you we have to leave soon. The police will be here soon. And that child needs a doctor right now. I have already called the hospital. Everything will be ready by the time we reach there. So hurry." He said."You go first." He just nodded and went down.I look at her. She looked so pale, like a white paper. My coat could not cover her whole body, so I lay her down and stood to look for something that will work.I could not make her wear some clothes. I was afraid that I could hurt her even more or disturb her wounds. So I took out a bedsheet from the bottom of the closet.I covered her carefully. Then put my coat over it. She was bleeding too much. I felt her heartbeat. It was barely there.I took her in my arms and carefully went downstairs. Everyone saw me coming. The worry, pain, and anger were clear in everyone's eyes. They all cared for her deeply. I somehow failed them too. I saw Mark coming from somewhere behind the hall gate. He had a girl in his arms. She looked in the same condition as Isabelle, if not worst.I could not think of anything. Then from the corner, I saw a boy ran to her. "Leah... Leah. Open your eyes. Leah, please say something." He looked scared."She is fine kid. She is sleeping. We are taking her to the hospital." "No, you are not. I don't trust you." The boy said angrily. "Chase" It was Evangeline. She called him. "Stay away from the angel." That kid, Chase warned when one of my men tried to pick up Evangeline. Evangeline, my princess"You may have helped us but you all are bad people. You have guns. That means you are like him. So stay away from them." Chase said."Princess" I called out for her."Xavier... Mama... Is mama okay?" She ran and hugged my legs. It was a relief that she is small and I didn't lose my balance.I saw from the corner of my eye, Chase was frowning at me. "Your mama is fine. Let's get out of here first. Okay." I told her."No, angel. Get away from him." Chase ordered her."No, Chase. It is from Xavier. He will not hurt anyone of us. Trust me." She said and left my legs and went to him and hold his hand. It burning my heart. But it is not the time to get jealous of a kid. We all get out of the house. There were people looking from their windows. It was almost bright out. We were lucky because as we exit the street, the police entered the area.We were in the hospital within 5 minutes. Lucas was driving like a manic. It was good that there was no car on the road.*********Anita and Ohio were already in there. There was a group of doctors standing at the entrance of the hospital gate. As we entered they ordered us to put the girls on the stretcher but I didn't want to let her go just yet and so did Mark. He didn't let that child go. I ordered them to just show us the room. The doctors took both girls in different rooms. Anita came into the room with me and the doctors."Sir, I need you to go now. The doctors will handle it now.""No" I roared at her. "I am not going anywhere." "Xavier, you want her to get proper treatment. Right? Let the doctors do their work. She is a woman. Do you think she would have wanted you to see her like that?" I said nothing and left the room. Lucas was standing by the door. I looked at him. I didn't know why he is so much concerned about her. He looked calm but his calmed look was scarier. I could tell he was thinking of ways to torture that bastard. But I will be the one who will show that bastard the hell.I saw Ben was standing beside the kids. Evangeline was sitting on that boy's lap and had her head on his shoulder. He was hugging her tightly. That kid is too close to my princess. I didn't like it one bit but it made my heart a little less painful. I saw some of the men are waiting there too. I ordered every one of them to come to the waiting room, I wanted to know what they found out about those guys and why they were there.Because if I stood in front of her room I would barge in.I looked at Lucas, who made no movement even after hearing my order and come with us. I let him be. Lucas was in front of Isabelle's room and Mark asked Ohio to look after that other girl. I told Ben to stay with the kids. He nodded. I saw Eva was almost asleep. I looked at Anita and asked her to find some food for the kids.We all were standing in the waiting room."Who were they?" I asked."All I found out was that Letty knew that we will be here somehow, she had her men there to attack us." One of them said."One of them told me that Letty had a deal with that scum." Rocky said."What kind of deal?" I asked."I don't know, he died before he could say more." He replied."What about that girl? Who is she? Why she and that kid was there?" I asked Mark."I don't know about any of that. She was in the condition to say anything. She just said to save her brother, so I guess that kid is her brother..." He went quite. He looked beyond angry. "That child was hurt badly. He is an evil person. I will kill him. She had burn marks on all her body." Mark said. His hands were in tight fists.He is in the line too. Richard, you will regret what you have done.We went out. Doctors had already taken both of them to the operation theater.Anita came running to me. She was out of breath. She looked horrified."She is in danger. The doctor said they have tried everything but she lost too much blood." Anita had years running down her face.I stumbled back. My back was against the wall. My legs gave up on me.Isabelle... You can not leave me. You still have a punishment to give to me. You can't just leave. I promise... I promise that this will be the last time I let you go. Please I beg you... Don't do this to me.I couldn't hold my tears any longer. They started to flow freely now. I regret letting her go. Please... If you are up there. Let her live. I did all the wrongs. She is innocent. You can not do this to her, ......to me. I ignored whatever happened in my past. But I will not let you her away too. 'So, you want me to go?' She asked me this question.'No....no, never. I never wanted you to leave.' Sitting outside of that operation room, I cried without caring who sees me like this.
