Xavier's POV-It was 7 am, Rocky was already there. He was waiting for someone to come out or get in, but nothing like that happened. By 9 in the morning, Rocky called. "Boss, Bella is going somewhere. What should I do?" He asked me."Follow her," I ordered."Yes, Boss." Then he hung up.Where she could be going?Why the hell I am feeling so uneasy? She is alright. She is with her husband, what bad could happen?Then why I am feeling like I made a big mistake by sending her away? Why I am worried that she will get hurt?No. It just me wanting her. Yea, that's what it is. I want her to feel the need for me.Why the fu*k I am getting so angry? It is best for her. Everything will be good. She will be good.I got a call, I picked it up immediately, thinking it was from Rocky. But it was of Anita."Xavier, Mark is up." She informed me."Oh... That's good. How is the feeling." I asked."He said he is fine but just in pain a little." Anita said."Okay, I am coming." I said.I took my coat and exit the office. I was here for one whole day. I reached home. I went directly to see Mark."What do you mean they left? Where? And did boss let them go? Did he even know?" Mark was yelling at someone. I opened the door of his room, it was Anita, in there."She went with her husband. This fact can't be changed for me too." I answered his question while entering the room."Her husband?" Mark frowned and looked at Anita and then at me. "Didn't she told you about her husband?" He asked me."What is there to tell me about her husband, except the fact that she has one," I said bitterly.He looked confused and looked at Anita."Why didn't you told him?" He asked Anita.What the hell is going on? What is that I don't know?"I didn't get the chance. Bella went to meet him, to ask him directly. But she returned with tears in her eyes. She told me he wanted her to go." Anita replied angrily. And her anger was towards me. What did I do?"So it was him who wanted her to leave and I thought he loves her." Said Ben coming from behind."I am still present here. Don't talk like I am invisible to you guys." I warned them."What the hell you all are talking about? I could not understand at all." I told them. "What is that you guys are saying about her husband?" I said in frustration."She told us something about her husband. Well, she didn't exactly tell us but we heard her unsaid words." Ben said."What do you mean?" I asked."She told us that she hasn't seen her husband in the last five years. That means, this uninvited husband of her, didn't even know that Evangeline exists. She even said something about living with him was like living in hell. It was pretty clear that her so-called husband is a dick." He said and Anita and Mark nodded in agreement."When I saw that man, I couldn't believe that he really is the husband of her. He looked like a thug." Ben said.I didn't know about any of it. Why didn't she told me this? Did I really make a mistake? But what would have I done? She should have said that she doesn't want to go.But Anita said that Isabelle came to me. Yes, she did come that day but she didn't ask to stay and when did I tell her to leave?Then suddenly I remembered, that day when she came to ask if I knew about it and why I didn't tell her about it earlier?I remember what I said, I said that I forgot to tell because she is not that important for me to remember. Why the fu*k did I say that? The hurtful look on her face. It pained me. She really asked me, 'if I really want her to go?' And I said, 'she doesn't belong here.' I really told her that she should go.The hope she had in her eyes when she asked that question and the pain she felt after my answer. All of it is killing me from the inside.Why did she have to leave? She should have protested.But as the owner of this House, I told her to leave. So why would she stay back?It is all my fault. I deserve this pain and even worst. How could I hurt the only woman I ever loved? It was me who promised to protect her, forever. What should I do now? I am having this awful feeling that she is in danger. Why Rocky is not calling again? It's been more than an hour. I want her with me, near me, close enough so that I could smell her fragrance. I want him in my arms, where I could protect her forever."Maybe we all saw something, which was not there." Said Mark confused."Yes, I was sure that the boss has feelings for her. But I guess I was wrong." Said Ben."No, you are not." I whispered. He is not wrong about anything."I do have feelings for her. I don't know from when but I have fallen for her." I admitted."What the... Did he just confess? Wow." Ben said shocked.Anita gave me a sad smile but Mark, he was frowning."Wow... This is hilarious. Reality check boss. You already threw her away with a punk, who we have no clue about and it's been two days now." He said angrily."I have Rocky looking over her house. I had this uneasy feeling that something is not right. But Rocky hadn't noticed anything unusual." I replied.I again looked at the phone. And suddenly it rang. It was Rocky."Yes?" I asked."Boss, she went to her office, I guess. Now she entered her house. Everything is normal, it's just that there is a boy about 11 or 12 years old, playing with Eva. The kids are still playing outside." He said.What kid? Whose kid that would be? "Okay." I said still in my thoughts."Boss, can I go and eat something. If I ordered something here then people could notice that I am roaming here for long. It will take only 10 minutes." He asked."Okay. But be back soon. You know it is important." "Definitely, boss. She is our future boss after all." My eyes went wide. Why would he say that? Why does that felt so good that she will be in my future?"Shut up and do your work.""Yes, boss." With that, I hung up."Xavier, your face." Anita said."It is totally red." Ben pointed out."Are you by any chance, blushing?" Asked Mark. They all looked shocked and then they burst into laughter.Why they are having so much fun in this situation?"Shut up you all." I left the room.
