Ch27: I Have A Surprise For You. . . It's Poop!

No?

No.

No!

No!!!!!

"Seriously? You're all stupid twatfaces who deserve to go to hell," I yell furiously. "I'm going to kill you all!"

"Pay back is a bitch," Josh chuckles. "I wonder who's going to help you clean this all up?"

"We told you not to mess with us shorty," Alex smirks and I glare at him.

"How am I suppose to get into my room without creating a tsunami?" I scream.

"That's your problem," Vincent says. "It took lots of scrubbing to get the stupid blue out of my hair."

"Mine still hasn't completely came off," Alex whines. "It only faded to a nasty patchy green."

"Mine came off," Josh shrugs. "Maybe you're just a nasty pig who doesn't know how to shower."

"Maybe you should shut up," Alex mimicks Josh's voice.

"How long did it take you to come up with that one?" Josh rolls his eyes.

"Pretty goddamn long," Alex yells.

"Both of you shut up," Vincent rolls his eyes before walking off.

"Is he still being all moody?" I ask and they both shrug.

"Maybe on your road trip," Josh jokes and I glare at him. "You snuffed out all his goodness."

"Maybe he's just being honest and not keeping secrets from me," I say and Josh rolls his eyes before walking off.

"What's wrong with him?" I ask and Alex shrugs.

"He's a grass ass," Alex spits out.

"You're both still mad at each other," I look at him. "Why?"

"Cause he's a grass ass!" Alex exclaims before walking off.

Okay, so you're probably wondering: what's going on?

That's a pretty long story and it begins this morning.

"You said you'd come to the party," Mike says and I roll my eyes.

Did I say that?

I did. Damn it.

"Fine," I exhale. "I'll go, but it better be a good party."

"It will be," Pipper chirps. "I promise you'll have fun."

"Sure," I say before hanging up.

I get up from my bed and make my way downstairs, but before I enter the kitchen I can hear arguing coming from inside.

"I'm warning you Josh," I hear Alex say. "I'll kick your ass if I find out you're-"

"I'm not," Josh answers annoyed. "Get off my ass Alex and stop sticking your nose where it's not wanted."

"You're an asshole," Alex says. "We're all assholes and it's something we didn't care to try and change before, but now it's different."

"I get it," Josh speaks and I can picture him rolling his eyes. "Now will you leave me alone or do I have to leave the room in order to stop hearing your nagging?"

Soo, it's been a week since my unpleasant road trip with Vincent and let's just say things aren't all that good around the house.

"Can you move out of the way?" A voice says from behind and I turn to see Vincent. His hair all messy and a an irritated look on his face.

"You're such a grass ass," I roll my eyes before moving out of the way.

"And you were eavesdropping," Vincent states before throwing the kitchen door open and walking in.

As I was saying, things aren't all that good around the house. Vincent's back to his cold bitter self, not surprising. What is surprising is that Josh and Alex have been bickering nonstop about some secret thing.

I've only heard small portions of various conversations I have managed to listen to.

"You can come in now," I hear Vincent yell from inside the kitchen and I fight the urge to run in and slap him.

"You're an asshole, did you know that?" I walk into the kitchen and spot all three devil boys looking at me.

"I do," he says.

"Hey," Josh smiles and I smile back. "You ready to go?"

"I'll drive her," Alex says and I give them a strange look.

"No," Josh glares at him. "I can take her to school."

"Are you two ever going to tell me what's wrong?" I ask.

"So I'm asking Taylor to the banquet today," Alex says excitedly. "Do you think she'll say yes?"

"Good job at avoiding the question," I smirk. "You're getting better at it, but not quite good enough."

"Nothing is wrong," Josh stands up before walking out the kitchen and I follow him.

"Stop lying to me," I tell him and he turns to face me. "I know something is wrong and I hate that you don't trust me enough to tell me."

"I do trust you," he says. "Alex is just being a drama queen as always."

"A drama queen about what?" I ask.

"It's nothing," he shrugs. "Don't worry about it."

"I'm going to ask one more time," I exhale. "Josh, if you don't tell me I'm going to be really mad. . . What's going on?"

He opens his mouth as if to tell me, but then closes it and simply stands there starring at me.

"Fine," I nod before turning around and walking towards the kitchen.

"Princess," Josh says after me, but I walk inside the kitchen.

If it's not a big deal, then why does he refuse to tell me?

"Did he tell you?" Alex asks and I shake my head.

"Will you tell me?" I ask.

"It's not my place," he shakes his head. "I don't think he'd appreciate me opening my mouth."

"This all gives me a headache," Vincent exhales before walking out the kitchen.

"What is going on?" I bury my face in my hands. "Why is everyone acting to strange lately?"

* * *

"Are you going to the party?" I ask Taylor and she nods excitedly. "Of course, Mick and Pipper invited me."

"At least I'll have someone to be with," I smile. "The devil boys are being hormonal jerks."

"You and prince charming fight?" Pipper asks as he takes his seat next me.

"Yes," I exhale. "He won't tell me why he's fighting with Alex and I think it might be about me."

"Why would it be about you?" Taylor asks and I shrug.

"I don't know," I bite my lip. "I just have this feeling that's it's about me."

"Maybe it's not," Pipper says. "It might be some weird devil thing."

"Devil thing?" I chuckle. "Like what?"

"I don't know," he shrugs. "I don't usually associate myself with devils like you."

"The only devil I know is Vannesa," Taylor says. "She's truly the incarnation of Satan."

"Yeah," I laugh." If Satan had a human form it would be Vannesa."

"Be quiet," Ms. Edwards commands as she walks into class. "We will be discussing the-"

Suddenly the door opens and Vincent walks in looking like an absolute mess. His hair is thrown all over the place, his shirt is filled with wrinkles, and I can see a bit of pink lipstick at the edge of his mouth.

"Mr. Halls," Ms. Edwards frowns. "Why are you late to class?"

"The ladies wouldn't let me go Ms. Edwards," Vincent smirks and Ms. Edwards glares at him.

"Just take your seat," she spits out and he nods before going towards his desk and sitting down.

"What's up with him?" Pipper asks and I shrug.

"No clue," I sigh. "Ever since we went to Los Angeles he's been acting weird."

"Who'd you go see?" Taylor asks and I turn to look at Vincent who's got an annoyed expression as he looks directly at Ms. Edwards.

Maybe, he's angry at himself for what happened to Janet's family.

"Someone," I tell her. "I think I know what's wrong with him, but I don't know how to help."

* * *

"We have to cover the bar shift tomorrow," Alex tells me and I nod.

What if I just go up to him and tell him to stop worrying?

"I think we should tell him he can't," Alex says and I nod.

No, that won't work.

Maybe I can just go hug him?

"We also have to dye our hair red," Alex continues talking and I nod.

No, he'll just push me away.

"ELLIANA," Alex yells and I snap back into reality. "Were you listening to me?"

"Yes," I lie and he glares at me. "No, I wasn't. "

"I know," he playfully pushes me and then turns to look at the person I was starting at.

He's currently flirting away with Van-fucken-cocaine snorting-essa.

"You can't help him," Alex says and I nod. "We all want to, but he makes it pretty goddamn difficult. You just need to give him space."

"Give who space?" A voice asks and I turn to see Josh.

"Vincent," Alex answers.

"Yeah princess," Josh says. "I've been knowing the guy for a while now and the best thing to do is give him time. He'll talk about it when he's ready."

"He's always been like this," Alex chuckles. "Dark and moody."

"You guys didn't get along before," Josh laughs.

"I know," Alex nods. "I thought he was a dick and then I got to know him. I realized he's a dick, but a good person."

"Are you two good?" I ask and they both nod.

"Yeah," Alex smiles. "It was nothing, I was just being dumb that's all."

"Are we good?" Josh asks and I think about it.

"Why were you guys mad?" I ask and immediately both guys look away.

"I have a poster to make," Alex says awkwardly before walking away.

"I should help him," Josh says. "His handwriting is terrible."

"Seriously?" I ask as he walks away.

Why won't he tell me?!

Is it that bad?

Oh god, it's that bad?

***

"Do you think she knows anything?" Alex asks and I shake my head.

"She has no clue," I smile as he hands one end of the poster to Josh.

It's a beautifully done poster with light blue lettering that has written on it: I know this cheesy, but will you go to the banquet with me?

The funny part is that Alex is going to be holding a cheese pizza in his arms.

Yeah, Alex has to be cheesy about it.

"Is everything ready?" Alex asks and Both Vincent and Josh nod.

So, Vincent is holding one end of the paper looking rather annoyed and Josh is holding the other end with sad puppy eyes because I won't talk to him. All while Alex nervously holds the cheese pizza in hands constantly asking if Taylor knows anything or if everything is ready.

A great recipe for success if I do say so myself.

"Yes," I nod. "I'll go get her Alex."

"Okay," he answers, his voice sounding shaky probably from nervousness.

I give him a reassuring smile before walking out of the hall and into the cafeteria area where she should be talking to Mick.

He's secretly in the plan. Of course, I didn't tell Alex or else he'd freak.

I spot them rather quickly standing near the restroom door and I can tell Taylor is probably ranting about polar bears.

She's probably arguing with Mick about how polar bears have transparent fur and aren't actually white.

"Hey guys," I smile casually as I approach them.

"Hey," Taylor smiles. "I was just telling Mick about how-"

"Polar bears are white," Mick says mocking her.

"They aren't white!" She exclaims and I chuckle.

"I was wondering if you could help me Taylor,"I say and she nods. "I'm helping Josh with his science fair project, but I can't find the book on Salt water fishes. "

"That's easy," she says. "Look in the science section."

Damn it.

"Right," I say. "I can't find the section. Why don't you come show me where it's at? It'll be quick Tay."

"Okay," she nods. "Come on Mick."

"I actually have a football meeting," he lies. "You go ahead, I'll see you later tonight at the party."

"See you later then," we both wave before I take a hold of Taylor's arm and lead her towards the hallway.

"The library is on the other side," she says confused.

"I know," I smile before opening the hallway door and pulling her inside.

"What are you-" she begins saying, but immediately stops when she spots the poster and Alex.

"Surprise," I grin.
