Ch12: Roses Are Red, Violets Are Blue, I Didn't Kiss Him, That's On You

I wake up feeling completely exhausted.

Today's Saturday.

"Princess," Josh yells and I groan. "We need to leave early so we make it on time."

"Kayyy," I yell back before standing up and putting my hair in a messy bun.

I quickly grab a grey hoodie from my closet and throw it over myself before running down stairs.

"Morning," Alex says as he throws himself on the couch and turns the TV on.

"Morning," I walk into the kitchen and spot Josh making eggs while Vincent sips on a coffee as he leans againts the counter.

"Are you really going to stay mad at me forever? " Vincent rolls his eyes and Josh shakes his head.

"No," Josh answers "I'm going to stay mad at you for now."

"Kitten," Vincent turns towards me. "Can you tell him he's being unreasonable?"

"Its been like three days," I say not turning to look at him. "He's not unreasonable."

"You're mad at me too, uh?" He asks, his voice annoyed.

"Nope," I pop the p, pretending to be completely unaffected by his stupid decision.

I'm not mad.

I'm furious. I'm sadden.

But most of all I'm disappointed.

Disappointed by his lack of care and selfishness.

"I got drunk and drove," he rolls his eyes. "What's the big deal? I already said my bad."

My bad.

"Wow," I scoff, "You're-" I stop myself.

Breathe in. Breathe out Elliana.

"I'm what," he exclaims. "Don't stay quiet. Say it."

Fine.

"You're a fucken inconsiderate asshole," I exclaim. "You think a fucken my bad will fix everything. What if you ran over someone? Were you going to go to the hospital and tell the devastated mother my bad? Or tell the dad who can't seem to drop the bottle of liquor my bad? Maybe, you'll go tell the crying hysterical little sister my bad? Wait...you can also walk into the hospital room and tell the brain dead girl who you killed my bad. My bad I ended your life early. My bad that you will never be able to live the rest of your life because I decided that only what I wanted and felt mattered. My fucken bad."

With that said I stand up from the table and walk towards Josh, who's  starring at me like I just grew a third eye.

"You okay?" Josh mouths and I nod. After a few seconds I hear Vincent stand up before the door opens and closes.

Did I do too much?

I was just so mad because all I could think about was about the asshole who killed my sister. What if all he thought was my bad?

"I made some for you," Josh smiles while serving me some eggs on a bowl.

"Bowls are for soup," I laugh as I take a hold of it and place it one the table.

"According to society," Josh asks "and I'm not one to follow norms."

Sure you aren't Summers.

"Neither am I," I grab a two forks and we both sit on the table.

"I know," he nods "It's what makes you so different."

"That," I nod "and the fact that I can kick your ass even when I'm half asleep."

"Shut up and eat your food," he glares at me playfully and I smile.

"So you're going?" Pipper asks.

"Of course she is," Taylor says and I can imagine her smacking his arm.

"I am,"  I answer. "I said I would so I'm keeping my word."

"Okay," Taylor chirps. "Tell me what you're wearing."

"I put on my white skater like skirt with the pink flowers on it," I explain as I stand in front of my mirror. "I have a pink spaghetti strap crop top, but you can't really see my stomach a lot. My shoes are baby pink heels and I have a really nice black necklace."

"Sounds cute," Taylor exclaims and I chuckle.

"Yeah," Pipper agrees "you probably look hot."

"What about your hair" Taylor asks "and your makeup? "

"I curled my hair into loose waves," I say. "My makeup is just a simple brown smokey eye and some pink lipstick."

"Princess," Josh yells from downstairs and I take a deep breath.

"I have to go," I tell them before hanging up.

"Are you ready?" Josh asks and I can tell he's in the room, his voice is closer.

"I am," I walk out of the restroom and spot him sitting at the edge of my bed facing the window.

"Good," he stands up and faces me.

He looks stunning with his royal blue suit and black bow tie. His hair is neatly combed back which somehow makes his eyes look much bigger.

He's currently smiling at me from ear to ear and I can just imagine the look on Lilo's face if I were to have presented him to her.

She would've told me "hit that Ellie or I will".

"Why are you laughing?" Josh asks and eyes my widen.

Did I laugh out loud?

Crap.

"Nothing," I shake my head. "I just. . . You look great."

"Says the person that's making me drool," Josh grins and I can feel myself blushing.

Goddammit I hate blushing.

"Shut up," I grin.

"So are you going to give me some background?" I ask as he drives and he shakes his head.

"There's no background," he answers.

"Oh come on," I scoff. "Every family has a background."

"Fine," he smiles. "My family has a lot of money and I mean a lot. You'll see when we pull into the driveway of my house. . .my mom Hanna is a really petite women and she has this wierd way of making people feel smaller than her. Like when you're around her she makes you feel like she's seven feet tall when she's actually only five. . .my dad Jordan is the owner of this really big flower company and he's a really serious strict man, but once you actually get to know him he's not so bad. . . My little sister Arriana is a tiny little thing full of so much attitude. I find it quite adorable and funny sometimes. . . My aunt Penny is always smiling even when she's mad. . .James and Jane are her kids and they're always so busy on their phone you won't even notice them. My grandmother Sally is. . .well she's interesting. You'll like her."

"Okay so it's Hanna and Jordan," I say. "They're your parents and Arriana is your little sister. . . Your aunt Denny or Danny is-"

"It's Penny," he laughs and I frown.

"Stop," I smack him. "I wanna get this right."

"I'll write it on your hand before we get inside," he shakes his head. "That's what I use to do as a kid when I wanted to remember things."

I can imagine tiny Josh with his messy brown hair and big brown eyes running around with everyone names written on his hand.

"Are we almost there?" I ask and he nods as he pulls over in front of a tall black gate.

"We're here," he rolls down his window before sticking his hand out and pressing a small black button that's on a box containing a speaker and keypad.

"Summer's property," a women's voice speaks. "How may we help you?"

"Josh Summers," he replies with a big smile as if waiting for a specific reaction.

"My boy," the voice exclaims. "I'll let you in right away."

"Thanks Nana," Josh replies with a huge childish grin.

Nana?

He has a Nana?

Suddenly the big black gates open and Josh drives foward for a few seconds before an enormous house appears in front of us. Its a huge four story house with big white doors and the driveway is filled with seven to eight new cars parked. To the right side of the house is a big green garden with a water fountain surrounded by all kinds of bright flowers. On the left side of the house is a small cement path that cuts through the garden and goes towards the back of the house.

The drive way has a small gravel path that leads up some stairs towards the big white front door.

I have to admit I am intimidated. Very intimidated.

Suddenly what I'm wearing doesn't seem good enough.

"You're okay," Josh takes a hold of my hand that I didn't realize was clutching onto my skirt.

"Okay," I nod as I open the car door and step out. Josh follows suit before quickly making his way towards me.

"They're. . . Interesting," Josh speaks starring at the front door. "If they're anything like they were when I left then they're terrible people. . .but their my family, you know? I'm like them."

"No your not," I say quickly. "If they're terrible Josh, you are nothing like them."

"You think so?" He smiles and I nod.

"I know so," I nudge him. "You're pretty great if I do say so myself."

Even though you called me a slut.

Damn it Elliana! You need to let that go.

"Thanks," he scoots towards me. "You're amazing."

"Am I?" I question as I look up at him and our eyes immediately lock.

"Yeah," he breathes as he begins leaning towards me. His eyes looking directly at my lips and I lean in as well preparing myself for the moment our lips touch.

"Josh," A voice screams and I immediately move back facing away from the door my face turning red.

"Tatianna," I hear Josh say and I turn towards the door.

Tatianna?

The one he was talking on the phone with.

I see a small skinny dark skinned girl with long thick black curly hair and big green eyes.

She's gorgeous.

"I'm. . .sorry," she exclaims turning extremely red. "I. . .sorry. . .I'm just gonna go."

With that she turns back into the house and shuts the door quickly.

Moment officially ruined.

"You didn't mention a Tatianna," I say casually.

"Because she's not a part of my family," he says through gritted teeth. "God, I should've known!"

"Josh," I take a hold of his hand. "Calm down and tell me what's wrong."

"You know how I told you I moved out because my family and I didn't get along," he explains and I nod. "Well it was more than that. I moved out because they wanted me to marry."

"To marry," I say confused. "To marry who?"

"Tatianna," he answers.
