Busisiwe POV

I am very proud of myself. The past seven years had been peaceful filled with joyful rides. Ever since I gave birth to my bundle of joy everything became better. I fell into post natal depression when I gave birth to Zithulele I first hated him because of the way he was conceived but Hlelo came and helped me.

I'm a qualified lawyer and it's been three years since I started work at Zulu attorney's and I must say it's really good to obtain your things without destroying other people's lives. I'm staying with MaDingiswayo and Thingolwezulu and finally I know what is it like to people to call family.

Today I am accepting Nkosiyabo's proposal on behalf of my friend well not exactly accepting it but it's more of passing on the message. We got there and sang well the maidens sang and it somehow brought me pain to know that I was not given the opportunity to embrace my purity instead it was taken away from me within a wink of an eye.

The maidens went in while I unpacked the things that was loaded in my car when I suddenly got message from Hlelo saying that we must come back home, she is no longer agreeing to Nkosiyabo's proposal. I called her and the girl told me that she found out that Nkosiyabo has a child with her cousin. Me being me I ignored her and went to do what I was supposed to do.

Everything went well , I can officially say that my friend is engaged to  the King of the Zulu nation even though the guy is not yet crowned as the king but it is well known that he is the king. I know that my friend will be very angry with me but then I am tired of this back and forth that they keep on playing.

I called Hlelo to inform her that everything is done when I suddenly felt a stinging pain on my neck indicating that I have to go home. Damnit I have been busted , the devil that I call my father found out about my clone which means he will hunt me down and if he finds out about my child, then it's the end of me.

I drove home and I found Thingolwezulu and MaDingiswayo cooking up a feast. They know about my situation and right now I need their advice.

Me : " Sanbonani ekhaya, ma sinenkinga ephuthumayo ( Greetings at home, mommy we have an urgent problem) "

Ma : " Siyazi kodwa akusona isikhathi sokukhuluma njengamanje , hamba uyogeza bese ubona uboy boy ( We know but it is not the right time to talk right now , go and bath then see boy boy ) "

Boy boy is my son's nickname. I took a bath and wore sport bras with men's boxers , don't judge me I just feel comfortable with wearing them after all I am in my comfort space. I found my son in his room praying and the mother in me felt very proud. I joined him and together we prayed. My son also has a spiritual gift which was expected but he's gift is to heal people not destroy people's lives. I made sure that he knows what is right and wrong.

" Mamma kunama thunzi amnyama akuladelayo bafuna wena nami futhi. ( Mommy there's dark shadows following you, they are looking for you and me. ) "  My son said

Me : " Zee please don't worry yourself about those things just do what I taught you, pray my son thandaza I always tell you about people who are always ready to destroy people's lives so wena pray unto God, he is our savior, he will never leave or forsake us. "

I'm scared now if they managed to find my son, it is only a matter of time before they find where we actually stay.

3 months later

Nkosiyabo's Pov

Today is the day where I Hlelo becomes my wife traditionally. I have already paid half of the lobola and today I am finishing up the lobola and having a intimate celebration . The past three months were a roller coaster ride for my relationship ,  a lot was discovered including that I have a son which means Buhlebemvelo is not my first born. My fiancee was very angry to a point where she basically cancelled everything but her friend carried on without her permission which caused another fight. Imagine leaving at 10 pm just so that you can assure your girlfriend that you love her. Yoh the girl has drama.

My baby momma's family came and tried to convince me to marry their child but I blantly refused.  These people came with their old fashioned rules of you impregnate our child you marry her. Luckily my uncle stood up for me although some of the elders were considering it.

It took a lot of convincing for Hlelo to forgive me. I did the right things for my son , paid the damages and did a ceremony to welcome him kwa Zulu so that the ancestors can recognize him.

I'm a happy man indeed. I just wish my parents were here to witness me getting married but I'm sure they are very proud of me wherever they are.

We prayed and appeased to the ancestors. My baby sister came and she looked breathtaking, I can't believe my little sis has grown up like this.

"Ngiyathemba akuna mfana ukhulumisana naye uma ekhona umtshele ukuthi ngizombulala ( I hope you are not talking to any boys id there is, tell him I'm going to kill him. " I said to her

I can't really fathom the thought of someone playing with her fragile heart.

" Bhuti omdala there's no boy , there's no need to make endless threats Yoh and besides I didn't come here for you to tell me about boys I thought you would compliment me but ke sizothini ( what can we say ) " she said

Me : " Ngiyadlala mntase , awusemuhle yazi uze ufana no ma ( I'm joking sis you look so beautiful you know you look like our mom ) "

Siphosihle : " I've been told thank you very much. You not that bad yourself"

Me : " So much for complimenting me mxm "

Siphosihle : " Ngiyadlala bhuti wam ithi ngiqala ngokhuthi kahle, Zulu Mageba ,Sthuli sika ndaba , wena ka Senzangakhona awu bakhathi nayi indoda emandodeni uswahla lensizwa insizwa ekhalisa intombi awu usafuna ngithini ( I'm joking older brother let me start by saying clan names here's a man amongst men, a handsome man, a man that makes ladies cry  , what else do you want me to say. ) "

Laughing

Me : " You know that you are crazy. "

Siphosihle : " I've been told thank you very much but on a serious note how are you feeling, phela silanda umakoti wethu and as umkwenyana how does that make you feel ? ( I mean we're fetching our bride and as the groom..) "

Me : " I feel like I'm in a interview , okay uhm I don't know really know but I am happy and content with my life. Ngiyamuthanda uHlelolwenkosi ( I love Hlelolwenkosi) , you know I've been a player my whole life but I am very grateful to abogogo nabo mkhulu ( ancestors ) for choosing her to be my wife. Have you seen how well she gets along with uBuhlebemvelo like ngathi whu mawakhe ( she's like her biological mother) and that's everything that I want. "

Siphosihle : " I am very happy for you guys especially you. I was worried that my time would arrive while you not settled.  I love you brother and no matter what happens don't forget your family. "

Me : Uthini manje wena wakhuluma njengomuntu ufayo zikiphani ngawe. ( What are you saying now ? Why are you speaking like someone who is going to die. )

Chuckling

" I love you big bro "  she said leaving with multiple questions.

When we got to Hlelolwenkosi homestead, I stayed behind because I am not yet allowed to enter. My uncles went in and I was left in my thoughts.

Two hours later

I'm hearing people ululating which means everything went well.  My uncles came back and we sat together waiting to be served. Everything went well according to what my uncles said and if you guys knew the amount of money that I paid for my babes lobola but I don't have any regrets.

Hlelolwenkosi pov

I'm officially Mrs Zulu traditionally even though it took a lot of fighting before everything went well. Firstly my aunt came with my father and my so called father demanded that he be part of the lobola negotiations so according to him I'm his daughter he brought me to this world so I owe it to him. Luckily my uncle stood up for me , he punched my father and dragged him to lock him in the storeroom. He made sure that he is locked till everything was done.

Now that everything is done, I am supposed to go and serve my husband so that my in laws can see that their child will be well taken care of.

I dished up for my husband and went to look for him. I look like a real Makoti. I am wearing a blue pinafore dress with it's matching doek and I have one of the engraved scarfs around my shoulder which is white with blue feathers at the tip written Ndlunkulu I was supposed to write his clan name or something but he didn't want me to do that. I also have sleepers on I was just not in the mood for fancy shoes.

I heard my husband's voice and looked where it came from  only to see him sitting around a lot of people. I want to immediately turn around but I ain't going to back down just like that not especially with Queen and her mom watching me with their evil eyes.

' Ok Hlelo you can do this ' I mentally said

Do you know that feeling that one gets when walking while people are watching you, you end up not knowing which step is the right one that's me right now. I can feel everyone's eyes on me but  of course I am very beautiful it is expected. I walk to where he was sitting and kneeled down giving him food. You could see from the smile on his face that he is happy and proud and shem only if he knew that it is the first and probably the last time I actually kneel down for him.

" MamMthethwa " he called holding my hand just as I was about to leave.

" Ndabezitha ngingakusiza ngani ( My king how can I help you?) " I said in a voice that I didn't even recognize.

" Hawu mama phela indoda yakho iyakubiza. Angikubonanga namhlanje ngikugcine usawu Hlelolwenkosi ayi uMka Nkosiyabo.( My love, your man is calling you. I haven't seen you today I last saw you when you were still Hlelolwenkosi not my wife. ) " He said all smiles

If only he knew that I still have duties to finish before I attend to him. Although I am so tired that I just want to sleep, I have to go to the elders. I have been summoned there and of course they just want to tell me about how I should behave in the marriage.
