CHAPTER 1: SAVED

"Yes I just left from work and now I'm on my way back home, why?"

Just like he said, Jisung was currently walking back to his home where he lived alone since his parents were away in Malaysia but they trusted Jisung enough to live by himself. Not to mention he wasn't a little kid anymore so he had grown to be a responsible man.

"What? Chan hyung is sick?" he furrowed his brows while spoke in a worried tone "Is he okay?"

"He's fine, just a fever, nothing too serious"

"That's good" he sighed in relief.

He was about to pass an alleyway which is usually empty and quiet but this time it wasn't like every other time. He heard laughs, yelling and some animal sounds. When he recognized that the animal was a cat, he immediately decided to check on what was going on "I'll call you in a bit, Hyunjin" he pulled the phone away from his ear and leaned over the wall to see.

His heart stopped for a bit when he saw 2 middle aged men kicking a small black cat like it was some kind of a ball to play around. He felt anger build up inside him. How could ever someone treat an innocent creature like that?

"Hey!"

The two men turned their heads towards the voice as the one who had picked up the cat held it by its tail,

"Leave the cat alone right now or else you'll regret it" Jisung took a step closer to them, becoming more visible because of a streetlight. The other two lost their confidence once they saw Jisung's well built body. He was wearing a no sleeve t-shirt so his biceps could be seen.

The man dropped the cat on the ground as they both ran away.

Jisung immediately ran to the cat which was trembling in pain and held it to his chest, "Oh my god, you poor kitty" he frowned and gently petted its head with the back of his fingers "What did those assholes do to you?"

The black cat looked up at Jisung which made the boy smile at it before the kitty rubbed its head against his chest lightly. Jisung giggled while observing the cute gesture.

Soon, another small kitty made its way to Jisung. The boy noticed it when it started to meow, "Hello there, pretty" he smiled as he kneeled down to pet its back while still holding the black cat.

The other cat had orange fur and it was very fluffy. Jisung cooed at it when it stood at its two legs, trying to get on Jisung as well "You want me to hold you too?" he chuckled as he gently picked it up, now holding both of the cats on his chest.

He saw how the black one placed its tail over the orange one's back as the orange one started to lick the other's face, "You two seem to know each other" Jisung hummed as he stood up properly before making his way back to the main street "I'll bring you both to my home. You look like you need some food and water"

He sighed, "Thankfully I have some cat food for moments like this"
