Six months later.
Thing between Hero and I have been great for the most part. I just finished my secret therapy sessions that helped me with my past. We're in college now. I love it. Over the last few months I have really opened myself up even though Hero and I still haven't been together I'm thankful he's not pushing for it and that he's still around. He does leave at random for his business and during those weeks I feel lost and sad but once I see him again it's the best feeling in the world.
The last two weeks have had me in my feelings as Hero is yet again out of town on business. I'm currently sitting in the local cafe of this town, reading a book, and drinking coffee. Kj and Jordan are sitting at a table across the room watching everything.
"Hey girl." I look up to see my besties.
"Hey." I said with a fake smile.
"Come on girl don't be like that." Peyton said.
"I'm sorry you know how I feel when Hero's not around."
"We know. We want you to cheer up so we want you to go out with us." Brooklyn said.
"I don't know. I just don't feel like it."
"Come on now we want you to cheer up and have fun. Go out with us." Luna commented.
"I'm still not sure. You know how Hero feels about me going out without him.
" Yea yea he feels like he has to be there to protect you from others hitting on you." Brooklyn said while rolling her eyes.
"Come on we'll be there to make sure no one makes their move on you." Peyton said.
"Yea I mean we wouldn't want Hero to send his watch dogs to beat some sorry guy up over you." Luna commented.
"What are you talking about?"
"Come on Mia you have Hero so whipped. Don't think we didn't notice how when he's not around the guys follow you around." Brooklyn.
"How about this. We ditch your babysitter later and break you out of your shell and have some fun."Peyton suggested.
"Uh I don't know. If Hero finds out.."
"He won't leave that part up to us." Luna said happily.
"Ugh fine."
"Yeah now this is what we're going to do..." Peyton said leaning in.

I just got done getting dressed when I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to Peyton, Luna, Brooklyn, and Maggie, Brooklyn's younger sister.
"Are they still out there?" I asked them after shutting the door.
"Of course they are. Sitting in their car like good little watch dogs." Luna replied.
"Ok enough." Brooklyn said. "Maggie give her your jacket and hat."
I quickly put them on as she handed them over.
"Can someone tell me why I'm doing this?" Maggie asked.
"Because your a good little sister who also wants fifty dollars." Brooklyn responded followed by Maggie nodding. "Do you remember what we talked about?" Brooklyn asked as I grabbed my purse.
"Yes yes. If someone knocks don't answer it."
"And?"
"And if I hear keys in the door to run and hide in the bed and pretend to be asleep."
"Good."
"I'm ready." I announced.
We left out while I kept my head down. To the guys it looked like the same four people who came were the same four leaving so they didn't stop us.
As soon as we made it to the club we started drinking and having a blast time flew by quickly.
Meanwhile..
Shit someone's coming in Maggie thought as she ran and dove on the bed.
"Mia." A low voice said.
Please leave me alone.
"Mia Hero will be here in half an hour. He wants you to get dressed." Another male voice said as they stepped closer to the bed.
Shit this is so bad.
"Mia.." the voice said again before pulling the cover from over Maggie's head.
"Maggie?!" Kj shouted.
"Hey guys." Maggie smiled innocently.
"Shit he's going to kill us!" Kj said.
"Where the hell did they go, Maggie?" Jordan questioned.

Heros pov
I'm finally home. God I miss Mia so much. I have a surprise for her and can't wait to see her reaction.
Bring Bring
"Hey Jordon. I'll be there in ten minutes.."
"H we have a problem. Mia snuck out with the girls."
I hung up quickly and dialed Mia's number. How could she be so blind to put herself in danger?!
" Hey baby." Mia sounded funny.
"Mia where are you?"
"Um... at a club.. I miss you.."
"Mia are you drunk?"
"Um..maybe..I don't know.."
"Mia what club are you at?"
"Um.. the one with the pretty lights.."
"Mia I have your location. I can find you."
"Ok..hey my songs coming on..I'll talk to you later.."
"Mia don't hang up!" I interrupted.
"Um ..ok..bye..love you." She cut the call.
"Fuck!" I shouted while typing on my phone pulling up what I needed. "Turn the fucking car around!" I ordered my driver.
Bring Bring
I answered with out looking.
"Mia?"
"Boss we know where she is." Kj said hurriedly.
"I know."
"We'll meet you there."

Mia pov
After my song ended I went to the bar to get another drink.
" Hey Mia nice seeing you here."
I looked up beside me. "Hey Ethan how have you been?"
"Good good." He said while looking around before turning his attention on me. "So where's your knight and shining armor?"
"Oh he's out on business."
"So you're still with Hero huh."
"Yea I really love.."
"Mia I'm going to cut to the chase. I really like you. I have liked you for years." He said leaning towards me as I leaned back.
"Um Ethan that's sweet but.."
"Sshh let me kiss you." He said leaning in more as I grabbed my bottle of liquor tightly in my hand. "Let me show you want you're missing. What kind of man deserves you.."
Just as I was lifting my bottle up to smash over his head he was pulled away from me and all hell broke lose!

Hero's pov
The boys and a few more of my men met me at the club with Maggie in tow. We went in no questions asked. Mia didn't know it yet but this was my club and the workers knew who they were working for. I spent no time searching the crowded area for her. First I spotted Brooklyn making out in a booth with some unknown man. Then I seen Luna and Peyton dancing with guys on the floor. All of them looking like whores. I quickly looked around to see her at the bar. Some man was leaning into her and she sat frozen. Looking closer at the man.
"Fucking Ethan?!" I shouted in rage.
I stormed over their way.

Maggie went to leave but Jordan quickly pulled her back towards him and gently wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"Wait you're going to want to see this. After all you had a part in this too."

"Hero!" I shouted as he turned Ethan around and gave him a right hook to the face knocking Ethan to the ground. Everyone was now looking at us.
"I told you to stay the hell away from her!" He shouted while jumping on top of him and punching him again in his face.
"Hero!" I shouted while standing up. Hero started landing punch after punch on Ethans face as I went to try to stop him. Kj put himself between me and them. "Kj move he's going to kill him!"
"I can't do that Mia. You may get hurt."
One of Heros men gently grabbed my arm as Kj turned around to watch Hero bash Ethans face in. I was crying at this point.
"Hero stop please." I cried out loudly.
No more hits were thrown as Hero got off Ethans semi conscience body. Hero turned and looked at me before coming over and grabbing my arm. He was still mad. As soon as he grabbed my arm he shoved the guard back hard making the guard fall back some while letting my other arm go.
"Wow H calm down." Jordan said resulting in Hero turning to him quickly causing Jordan to raise his hands in defeat and stepping backwards.
"You were supposed to watch her and protect her!" Hero shouted at them before storming out dragging me along with him.
As soon as he was putting me in the car the girls came running out towards us but Jordan, Kj, and Trevor stopped them.
"Move he's going to hurt her." Brooklyn cried out as Hero sat down beside me.
"He won't hurt her." I heard Trevor say before Hero closed the door.
"Drive." Hero barked at the driver.
