I started waking up as I heard the door close but could barely move my body and it hurt to breath.
"Fucking hell!" I heard someone shout followed by rushed steps.
I couldn't open my eyes. "I'm sorry I'll clean it up." I said out of breath trying to get my body up.
"No don't move." I heard as something was wrapped around me. I slowly opened my one good eye that would open to see Hero.
I tried to get up again. "I have to clean up my blood before he gets back. He gets mad if I make a mess." I said each word between breathes. It hurt to breath.
"Let's get you out of here." Hero said scooping me up.
"No you don't understand. I have to clean it up before he comes back. If it's clean he won't punish me again."
"He's not going to hurt you again Mia." he stated as he headed towards the door.
"You you can't stop him. No one can." I said whispering at the end.
"She's right little cousin." I started shivering in fear as I heard his voice. Hero tightened his grip on me. "Now put Mia down so she can clean the mess she made and failed to clean up."
Oh no I failed. When he makes Hero leave my punishment is going to be worse then last night.
"She's coming with me King."
"And who pray tell said you could take her out of my house?" King asked. Just as he asked some strange men appeared behind him. He turned his head to see who it was.
"The company that now awaits you downstairs." Hero replied.
"Who knew my little cousin would grow some balls and call the fathers on me."
"I did what I had to do."
"And what do you think they will do to the Mafia King of Sicily? You really think they will let you a little boy take something from a Mafia King?"
"Nothing." Oh no I'm going to be stuck here with King and he's going to kill me slowly. " but I guess it's a good thing my father stepped down two weeks ago King."
"Well well what a strange turn of events this is. In two weeks time you go from a young dealer to the Mafia King of west continents."
What?!
"Come on Mia lets take you home." Hero said carrying me past King who followed with the strange men behind him.
Hero slowly carried me out of Kings estate. There were several cars waiting outside. Once we approached one a man opened the door and Hero carefully got it with me still in his lap as I snuggled into his chest.
"I'm so sorry Mia." he whispered as I closed my eyes.

I woke up to bright lights. Panicking I quickly tried to get up but a hand stopped me.
"Sshh it's ok Mia you're safe now." Hero cooed and I relaxed. He took a hold of my hand and sat back in his seat. "The doctors said you have a fractured arm, a few cracked ribs, a broken eye socket, and some cuts and bruises but no internal bleeding which is good news." I started crying. I bet I'm even uglier now. "I'm sorry please don't cry. I'm sorry I could not help you before Mia. I had to follow the Mafia laws or else you would be stuck with him for the rest of your life. You have no idea how sorry I am Mia. To know and see how those monsters treated you and could do nothing about it had me eating myself alive everyday knowing I couldn't help you. I love you Mia. I love you so much. I promise as long as I'm around no one will ever hurt you again."
I looked at him in shock. "You love me?"
He smiled down at me. "Of course I do Mia. I have loved you for along time. I'm in love with you still. It's just with everything going on with my father and the whole mafia thing I couldn't tell you. You remember when you asked me why I always ran off the males that would come around you and I said because they wanted to only get in your pants?"
"Yes."
"I lied to you. I ran them off because I didn't want to take the chance of you falling in love with someone else and lose you." I was at aww but let out a small laugh. "What's so funny?" he asked confused.
"I have been in love with you too."
He got so happy he leaned in and kissed me making me gasp in pain.
He quickly leaned back and let out a nervous laugh. "Sorry."
Soon we left the hospital and got on a jet that turns out to be Heros now that his father stepped down. I fell asleep next to him in the private room.

Hero's pov
As I look at her sleeping next to me I realise how stupid I was to wait so long to confess my feelings to her. She's loved me all this time! She got hurt because I couldn't help her. She's mine now. I will love and protect her until death of old age. I'm never letting her get hurt again and that's a promise.
I slowly got out of bed to not wake her and made my way to the rest of the guys.
"How's she doing?" Kj asked as I sat down.
"She's better now. She's resting."
"So what are we going to do about King?" Jordan asked making me growl from hearing his name.
"Nothing the fathers of the table will decide his punishment."
"And what if he starts a war. He'll probably come after Mia. He'll want her back." Trevor commented.
"He can come but I will not let him have her ever again. If he wants a war then we'll give him a war." Hero stated.

"Does my mom know?" I asked Hero as he helped me off his jet.
"No. She's been mostly out of town these last few weeks."
"Oh." I said looking down.
"Hey no don't be sad baby. Once I figured you were missing and who had you I knew she couldn't find out. If she went to the cops the mafia would of hunted her down. I told her you went to visit my cousin Liza until you cooled off from your fight."
"Oh it's ok she was never around anyways." I shrugged.
"So back to my house?" I asked as we got in his car.
" No I got us an apartment. I figured even though you're safe now we should just stay together just in case. But listen no one knows who I am around here except the boys and you. I need it to stay that way for now ok?"
"Ok."
"Now once you're healed we will go back to school and try to act as everything is fine ok?"
"What about your...you know business?"
He smiled at me. "My mafia business will continue as is. I have men for everything. Things will be brought or sent to me for approval. At random I may have to leave for meetings but you will be safe."
"Yea Mia his goons will help keep you safe." Jordan pipped in with a chuckle.
Soon we arrived at a big mansion. The guys got out and went to their cars as it stared at the mansion.
"This will be ours one day baby but for now we have to keep ourselves on the low." he said then walked me over to his Tahoe.
When we came to a stop we were in a small alleyway. Hero parked the his truck then helped me get out of the truck. Once we got to the door and inside Hero scooped me up in his arms.
"What are you doing?" I asked surprised.
"What? Can't a man carry his woman into their first home together?" He asked smiling down at me. I smiled back. He's so cute and sweet.
The inside was small and had brick walls. The kitchen and living room was combined. Then to the left of the living room was the bedroom with the bathroom. It was a decent size. I fell in love with the double headed stand in shower. Right past the living room was a half shower wall that had a huge tub behind it.
"Do you like it?" Hero asked while putting his hands on my hips.
"It's so cute and cozy. I love it." I smiled up at him.
He started frowning looking sad. I turned towards him.
"What's wrong?" I asked grabbing his face.
"I thought you loved me." He said then started smiling.
"You're so goofy." I said smiling up at him.
