As Sheila walked out of the Blanchet familyâs gate, she turned around and saw something that made her so pissed off that she was ready to spit fire.
Why the hell did that country bumpkin, Ellinor, receive such affection from Mr Blanchet?
If it werenât for Elinor sticking her nose in, she would be the one being spoiled in Mr. Blanchetâs arms right now.
Just you wait. This wasnât over.
Ellinor, your days are numbered!
Theo carried Ellinor upstairs, leaving Marissa downstairs, grinning from ear to ear, âEveryone has their weaknesses; who wouldâve thought that Theo had such a soft spot.â
Veronica just shrugged, sheâd gotten used to it.
Lately, her brother had been head over heels for Ellinor; it was quite a change.
Putnam slowly moved his wheelchair into the living room, staring at Theo and Ellinorâs affectionate display with a stern face, âWhat the heck is this?â
Hearing this, Marissa shot him a glare, âWhatâs your problem now?â
Putnam grumbled, âWhat kind of wife did he bring home? I just got back, and thereâs already trouble knocking on our door!â
Marissa frowned, âWerenât you the one who was pushing Theo to get married? Now heâs finally happily married, and youâre not satisfied?â
Putnam was even more displeased, âI only rushed him because people were saying he was gay. Iâm old, and I donât want to be a laughingstock. Sol pushed him to get married. But look who he brought home! Sheâs so young; sheâs even younger than Veronica! I think the woman on his ID wouldâve been a better match!â
Marissa quickly covered Putnamâs mouth after hearing this, âKeep your voice down; donât let Ellinor hear! Didnât I tell you this afternoon?â
Putnam pushed her hand away, âSo what if she hears? Iâm the elder here; why should I be afraid of a youngster hearing what I say? What kind of rule is that?â
Marissa felt a headache coming on, âAlright, alright, go back to your room and read your book!
Veronica, take your grandfather to his study!â
Veronica nodded and went to push her grandfatherâs wheelchair around.
As she pushed him, she felt uneasy. Sheâd expected that her grandfather wouldnât like a young girl like Ellinor, but now she didnât want her brother to marry anyone else. She was worried her grandfather would interfere with Theo and Ellinorâs marriage.
After returning to the room, Ellinor was laid down on the bed, and Theoâs tall figure loomed over her like a storm cloud.
Ellinor had a hunch about what he was going to do, so she quickly covered his mouth with her hand, âStop! Donât forget why you brought me up here! I need to call Belinda; you leave first.â
Theo moved her hand away, âIs her matter more important than mine?â
Ellinor frowned, âMr. Blanchet, donât forget, Iâm pregnant now. I canât handle your antics!â
Theo leaned closer to her, his warm breath brushing against her face, âWho started it? Who told me it was okay even if you were pregnant, as long as I was gentle, right?â
Ellinorâs face turned red. That day, her head was not clear, and she spoke words she shouldnât have, letting this man possess her.
But how could she have known that Theo would become so tireless from then on.
