Ellinor was puzzled Byran picked up an antique and said, âAlthough Iâm not blood related to my grandparents, theyâve been super nice to me over the years. Not so much to my sister, though.â
Ellinor was lost in thought, making Byran think she was worried about lending him money so he reassured her âDonât worry, Iâll definitely pay you back! My brother said as soon as I pass all my subjects, heâll give me back my credit card limit Ellinor snapped out of it and burst into laughter, âMight as well say youâre not paying me back!
Byran frowned. âEllinor, donât underestimate me I can definitely pass!â
Ellinor didnât care about his grades She thought for a moment and said, âI can lend you the money for the gift and you donât have to pay me back. But you have to promise me one thingâ
Byran widened his eyes curiously at her, âWhat condition do you want me to agree to?â
âTake me to your grandpaâs birthday party tomorrow!â
Byran was stunned and confused. âWhy do you want to go to my grandpaâs birthday party?â
âJust out of curiosity Iâm bored and want to go to a party: is that okay?â
Byran thought for a moment, âOkayâ Deal, Iâll take you!â
They agreed, and Ellinor paid for Byranâs gift It wasnât very expensive, but it wasnât cheap either.
As they walked out of the antique shop with the gift, a black business car pulled up in front of them.
The car was a worldwide limitedâedition, it was pretty much a status symbol for some guys The moment Ellinor saw the car, she couldnât help but feel a bit down. She thought to herself, âWhat a small world! How come I ran into him here?â
The driver got out of the car, respectfully opened the back door, and then Theo stepped out gracefully, stretching his tall body and making everyone aware of his presence.
âThea!â
Byran was very surprised to see him here.
Theo glanced at Byran, responded indifferently, and then his deep and indifferent gaze fell on Ellinor next to him.
âWhat are you two doing here?â Theo asked.
Byran answered truthfully, âTm here to buy a birthday gift for my grandpa. Ellinor is working at my brotherâs company now, so when I saw she had nothing to do, I decided to bring her along!â
Ellinor fell silent.
Who said she had nothing to do? Byran was taking this way too lightly.
Theoâs inscrutable gaze moved to Ellinor, seeming a bit unhappy. Then he asked Byran in a cold tone.
âHow did you guys get here?â
âWe took a tax Byran answered Theo narrowed his eyes, âWait for me then, Iâll give you both a ride later.â
Byran was happy to hear about the free ride, âGreat! Theo, what are you doing here? Are you shopping too?â
âMm.â
Theo didnât say much. He simply put his hands in his pockets and walked into the antique shop.
Just as Byran was about to follow him in, he suddenly remembered something. He turned his head to look at Ellinor but found that she had spaced out a little. So he waved his hand in front of her eyes, âHey! What are you thinking about?â
