Ellinor slowly snapped back to reality. She glanced at the furious Balfour and then at the seemingly sweet but deviously cunning Patricia.
She snorted, âMr. Howard, how can this waiter named Gavin be considered a witness?â
Balfour stared at her coldly, âAnd why canât he be? Patricia and he are not close, yet their testimonies match perfectly. I think thatâs proof enoughâ
Not close?
It seemed like Balfour really had no clue about his scheming sister Well, she will just help him see the light today!
âMr. Howard, can I have ten minutes? Iâll prove that this waiter, Gavin, canât be a witness and that his testimony is invalid!â
Ellinor didnât rush to refute Balfourâs words; she simply requested for ten minutes.
Balfour didnât object and calmly watched her struggle Patnoia felt like victory was in her grasp and wasnât panicked at all. She and the waiter, Gavin, had planned everything perfectly, even the memory card from the surveillance camera had been removed and destroyed. There was no way things could turn around now, Ellinorâs struggles were futile!
Ellinor calmly asked the waiter, âYou said I snatched the soup pot from your hand and splashed the kid.
So tell me, which hand did I use to grab the soup pot from you?â
The waiterâs eyes flickered, he subconsciously looked at Patricia, but she didnât look back at him or exchange any glances.
âThe situationâ¦the situation happened so suddenly, Iâ¦I canât remember those details!â
Ellinor wasnât in a hurry, âWell, itâs okay if you canât remember, Iâll ask you some other questions, so please answer truthfully.
Gavin frowned, âGo ahead, Iâm telling the truth anyway!â
Ellinor stared into Gavinâs shifting eyes and asked, âAfter all of us left the restaurant, did you enter that private room again?â
The waiter immediately shook his head, âNo!â
Ellinor squinted, âAre you sure you didnât?â
Waiter Gavin answered resolutely, âIâm sure I didnât!â
Ellinor nodded, âAlright, remember what you just said!â
Then, Ellinor turned to the computer engineer Balfour had brought, politely asking. âYou just said that only the surveillance from that private room canât be accessed, right? Can the rest be accessed?â
The engineer confirmed, âYes, thatâs correct.â
Ellinor gave a slight smile, âCould you please pull up the surveillance footage from the hallway outside the private room. Letâs see if our waiter Gavin here entered the room after we left!â
Upon hearing this, Gavinâs face turned pale, and his guilty and nervous eyes darted toward Patricia.
Oh boy, Patricia hadnât expected Ellinor to check the surveillance from this angle.
âAlright thenâ
