Ellinor spotted a crowd huddled on the sidewalk from her car. She squinted and saw Bryan wrestling with some guy. Ida was standing on the sidelines, rubbing her temples in frustration.
âWhat in the world?â Ellinor hit the brakes instantly.
Bartlett, always a fan of neighborhood drama, had a gleam in his eyes. He followed Ellinor out of the car.
After pushing through the crowd, Ellinor shouted, âEnough!â The audience turned to her Bryan stopped and looked up at her, looking a little embarrassed. âSis?â
Ida was surprised and walked over. âBoss, what brings you here?â
While talking, she glanced at Bartlett, standing next to Ellinor, and nodded.
âJust passing by. Whatâs going on? Why is this guy acting up?â
Ida adjusted her glasses. âThe guy came over and started hitting on me. After I refused to give him my number, he got handsy. Bryan stepped in.â
So, the guy was a creep.
Ellinor relaxed a bit. She examined Ida from head to toe. âAre you okay? Did he touch you?â
Ida shook her head. âNo, Boss. Iâm fine.â
Assured that Ida was unharmed, Ellinor walked over to Bryan. âGet up!â
Bryan looked annoyed. âSis, this guy is a total creep. He has loads of inappropriate pictures of women on his phone. He deserved it!â
Ellinorâs expression hardened. âI know. Now get up.â
Bryan bbeyed and got up, letting go of the guyâs collar.
Just as he was about to explain further to Ellinor, she stepped on the guyâs face.
The guy, whoâd been trying to catch his breath, yelled in pain.
Ellinor looked down at him. âSo, you thought youâd get physical because she didnât give you her number? Who taught you to be a man?â
The guy whimpered, âIâ¦Iâ¦I was wrong! I wonât do it again. Spare me!â
Ellinor didnât lift her foot but actually ground it into his face. âSave your confession for the police station.
Bryan, did you call the cops?!â
Bryan finally reacted. âNot yet.â
âThen do it now. Let the law deal with this creep.â
Bryan nodded. âOkayâ
The police arrived moments after the call was made.
The reason they came so quickly was that a passerby had already reported the situation. The police asked Ellinor and the others to accompany them to the station for a statement, as the guy had been injured.
At the station, the police dealt with the guy according to the law and thanked them for their cooperation.
After leaving the police station, Ellinor, Ida, and Bryan found Bartlett waiting for them by the car.
