Sheila was green with envy when she saw Ellinor with Mr. Larios, but she had to plaster on a friendly smile âEllinor, whereâve you been?â
Ellinor came over and honestly answered, âI needed the loo but couldnât find it after a good look around. Then I bumped into Mr. Larios and asked him to lead the wayâ Sheila gave Ellinor the stink eye, then turned to Chase, politely saying âMr Larios, Iâm so sorry my assistant has been a nuisance!â
Chase laughed it off, âNo worries, I was headed for the loo myself, so it was no trouble.â
Sheila forced out a couple of laughs, secretly annoyed that Ellinor had the chance to be alone with Mr.
Larios Ellinor then innocently asked. âSheila, why are you back so soon? Have you already gone through the new products?â
Sheila couldnât be bothered to answer Ellinorâs question, thinking, âWhy does my assistant have to be so nosy?â She turned to Ida with a smile, âMs. Gipson, Iâve seen all the products now, when can we ink the deal?â
Ida had regained her composure, âWe need to finalize things with your agency Artists canât sign work contracts directlyâ
Sheila chuckled, âNo problem, my agent can come for the signing this afternoon!â
Ida nodded, âSounds good Bring your agent over this afternoon.â
âGreat thank you!â Sheila was delighted and couldnât resist probing, âWhat about my new movieâ¦?â
ida replied, âIf the ad campaign with you goes well, Iâll consider investing in your new movie.â
âThank you, Ms. Gipson I wonât let you down!â Sheila was quite confident. âI wonât disturb you any longer now, Ms. Gipson. Iâll come back with my agent this afternoon to signâ
Sheila turned around and gave Ellinor a disgusted look, âLetâs go!
Ellinor said, âWait a minute, I need to grab my phone!â
âWell, get a move on then!â Sheila was clearly irritated If it werenât for the people around, she would have definitely yelled at Ellinor.
Ellinor walked up to Theo, without even glancing at him, and opened the door to the CEOâs office.
She quickly found her phone on the sofa in the reception area of the office and stuffed it into her pocket.
On the adjacent sofa, Moonâ with the gas mask was sitting there working on a laptop, busily typing away as if recording something.
Outside the office, Theoâs tall figure stood there, sweeping a glance into the office, seeing both âMoonâ
and Ellinor in the same place.
Ida looked at Theo and chuckled, âLooks like our Moon hasnât taken a break yet. If Mr. Blanchet has something to say to Moon, please go ahead. I wonât stop you.â
Theo replied, âNo needâ
With that, Theo turned around and walked away with Collin.
Seeing Theo leave first, Sheila quickly said goodbye to Ida and Chase, urging Ellinor to hurry up so they could catch the same elevator with Mr. Blanchet.
Watching them step into the elevator and the doors slowly close, Ida frowned in concern, asking Chase, âWhat just happened? How did she run out like that?â
