Crescent Society.
When Byran arrived at the Crescent Society, Idaâs secretary informed him that she wasnât in her office and he should reschedule his visit.
He didnât believe her, thinking it was just an excuse Ida was using to avoid him.
Since it was his last chance to see her before he went abroad to study, Byran decided to barge straight into her office.
Idaâs secretary tried to stop him, but he just pushed past her and locked her out of the office. There was nothing she could do but call her boss and explain the situation.
Once inside, Byran found that Ida really wasnât there, just like her secretary had said.
Where had she gone?
As he was pondering where Ida might be, he heard a noise coming from the bathroom.
He frowned and waited by the bathroom door.
So she had been hiding in the bathroom all along, huh?
However, the person who came out of the bathroom wasnât Ida, but a shirtless man!
And Byran had seen this man before.
It was Ethan, Idaâs first love, whom he had once met at Twilight Bar.
Shirtless Ethan seemed surprised to see Byran. âItâs you again, kid.â
âIâm not a kid. Iâm your worst nightmare!â Byran snapped back angrily.
Unfazed by Byranâs threat, Ethan just laughed, giving off the air of someone who wouldnât stoop to a childâs level.
âWhat are you doing here? Who let you in?!â Byran demanded an answer as his anger rose.
And why was Ethan half-dressed? What had he been up to?
Ethan gave a mischievous smile. He shrugged and answered, âThis is Idaâs office. Who do you think let me in?â
Ethanâs smugness made Byran feel a surge of jealousy. He pushed Ethan aside and stormed into the bathroom to look for Ida.
But Ida wasnât there.
âDonât bother looking. She just got a call and had to rush out. We were in the middle of something, and she had to leave in a hurry. What do you need from her? I can pass the message to her when she comes back.â
The words âin the middle of somethingâ echoed in Byranâs ears, making him even more furious. He wanted to punch Ethan right then and there.
Was Ida really getting intimate with this guy?
Was she so easily accepting of another manâs advances?
While grinding his teeth, Byran stared at Ethan. âHave you no shame? You broke up, and now youâre back, undressing in your exâs office?!â
Ethan found Byranâs frustration amusing. âNo offense, kid, but when Ida and 1 were together, you were probably still in kindergarten.â
âYou!â Byran was seething. âWhat does it matter if you were together before? Didnât she dump you in the end?â
Ethan laughed. âYouâre wrong. She didnât dump me. I had to leave her because of certain circumstances, and she loved me deeply back then. We didnât break up because our feelings for each other faded, so it wasnât hard to rekindle our love when we met again.â
