The silverâhaired man glanced at Sophia standing by the side and was seemingly completely uninterested. He then shifted his gaze back toward Ellinor.
The barrel of the gun moved from Ellinorâs chin to her big, round belly, giving it a gentle poke.
âIt doesnât matter if you guys are married or not, what matters is who Theo really fancies. And Iâm quite interested in the kid in your belly. So I donât need her, only you. Just come along with us nicely.â
After saying that, he jerked his chin in a certain direction, indicating that Ellinor should walk over.
With the gun pointing at her, Ellinor had no choice but to comply.
Sophia asked, Wait! Where are you taking Ellinor?â
The silverâhaired man responded, âNone of your business! Stop being so nosy!â
Sophia furrowed her brows. âButâ¦â
The fat man looked at Sophia uneasily. âBoss? Are we really letting this woman go? What if she exposes us to the cops?â
The silverâhaired man squinted. âIf we kidnap her, weâll be asking for trouble. Thaddeusâ daughter should know the rules of the underworld. She wonât expose us to the cops because of her fatherâs reputation in the underworld.â
The fat man looked at Sophia in shock and took a fearful step back. âShe⦠She is Thaddeusâ
daughter?â
The silverâhaired man kicked the fat man. âCoward! What are you hesitating for? Go take this pregnant woman away.â
In the end, Sophia was left in the ruins. The two men dragged Ellinor into a van and drove away.
Sophia stood there, watching the van speed off, as her worried face quickly turned into a smug smile.
She turned around, got into her sports car, and drove off.
Late at night.
Several cars were parked outside the Blanchet familyâs house, all from the Howard family.
Balfour got out of the last black car and personally rang the Blanchet familyâs doorbell.
If it werenât for Ellinor, he wouldnât come to the Blanchet familyâs house.
Byran also came along.
After talking to the Blanchet familyâs butler through the video doorbell, the Blanchet familyâs front door opened.
A servant came to greet them and led them in.
Upon entering the Blanchet familyâs hall, only Theoâs sister, Veronica, was waiting for them.
Perhaps due to the recent tragedy, the atmosphere in the Blanchet familyâs house was noticeably low.
Veronica looked haggard. She was in a poor mental state and had a hoarse voice. She asked unhappily, âWhat are you two doing at my house in the middle of the night? Are you here to laugh at us?â
Balfour did not argue with her and directly asked, âMs. Blanchet, has Ellinor been to your house?â
Upon hearing the name Ellinor, Veronica looked at them in shock. âEllinor? She didnât come here today!
What happened to her?â Balfour looked up at the second floor, seerningly doubting Veronica, but her expression didnât seem like she was lying.
âShe hasnât come back, nor has she contacted you?â
