Belinda was taken aback. âHeâs not here? Then why are you here?â
Collin answered truthfully. âMr. Blanchet asked me to stay here to protect Ellinor.â
Belinda snorted. âHeâs such a dummy! What Ellinor needs right now isnât this kind of one-sided concern, but his company! He doesnât even get this? Whatever! Iâm going to check on Ellinor!â
fgnoring Collin, Belinda took the chocolates she brought with her and went to Ellinorâs room.
Collin sighed deeply and texted Mr. Blanchet. âMr. Blanchet, do you want to come see Ellinor tonight?â
A few minutes later, he received a reply from Mr. Blanchet. âDid she say she wanted to see me?â
Collin helplessly replied. âNo, she didnât say anything.â
Mr. Blanchetâs response came quicker this time, but it was quite cold. âJust keep an eye on her.â
Collin sighed. âAlright.â
He was really worried for Mr. Blanchet.
Just as he put away his phone, he saw Belinda coming out of Ellinorâs room, holding a few pieces of chocolate out to him. âHere, these are for you.â
Collin looked surprised. âFor me? I donât need it.â
âThese are from Ellinor. She said youâve been standing at the door all day without eating or resting.
She wanted me to bring you a chair and get you something to eat and drink.â
Saying this, Belinda dashed to get a chair from the dining table and then quickly ran to the kitchen to bring him some bread and water.
Collin was touched. Even though Ellinor clearly didnât like him, she still cared about him. Ellinor was such a gentle person.
Belinda continued. âEllinor also said you must be having a hard time working for a boss like Theo who treats his employees harshly.â
Collin was at a loss for words.
Mr. Blanchet had actually treated him quite well, but he was a bit cold and didnât talk much.
Mr. Blanchet never said he couldnât rest or go out to eat. It was Collin who wasnât hungry and chose not to.
He took the bread and water from Belinda. âThank Ellinor for me.â
Belinda looked at him sympathetically. âEat up! You really suffer working for Theo. Heâs so serious and cold when heâs working. I couldnât stand it after just one day, but you have to face it every day. If I were you, I would quit this job.â
Collin remained silent.
Belinda suddenly remembered something. âOh, by the way, about Theoâ¦â
âWhat goodies are you guys sharing? None for me?â
Before she could finish, Belinda felt someone lean over her shoulder and deliberately blow hot air behind her ear.
Startled, she jumped back and retorted. âYour share is with Ellinor; if you want some, go get it yourself!â
Chase crossed his arms and smiled. âSomeone here is keeping an eye on me and doesnât want me to go into my bossâs room. Why donât you get it for me?â
Collin was speechless.
So was Belinda.
In the end, Belinda went back to Ellinorâs room and brought out a few pieces of chocolate for him.
