Theo was nonchalant. âMmhm, weâve already ordered. You guys order whatever you feel like.â
âYou guys already ordered?â Jacob said with an eager grin. âThen Iâll order some of Belindaâs favorite dishes.â
As Jacob ordered, Belindaâs mind was elsewhere, mulling over what was going on.
Just before she and Jacob arrived, Theo and Ellinor were still talking. But as soon as they showed up, Theo and Ellinor stopped their conversation.
Theo had a stern face, as if someone owed him a lot of money. Ellinor was staring out the window.
This couldnât go on!
2 2 2 2 2 2 2 3 3 They had been apart for half a year. If they kept giving each other the cold shoulder, they really would break up!
In a cold war, the guy had to make the first move for things to get better.
And Theoâs current attitude, with him acting all high and mighty, would only push Ellinor further away.
After Belinda thought about it, she realized that she couldnât convince Theo, but she knew someone who could.
She immediately messaged Veronica on social media, letting her know that Ellinor was back.
At the Blanchet residence.
Veronica had no classes that afternoon. She had just come back from school and taken a shower when she saw Belindaâs message, stating that Ellinor was back.
There was also a sneaky photo of Theo and Ellinor sitting face to face, both looking pretty grim.
Veronica was about to jump for joy. She immediately replied, âWhere are you guys? Where did Theo find Ellinor?â
Belinda responded, âWeâre at a restaurant now. Ellinor showed up on her own, and Theo happened to run into her.â
Veronica quickly typed. âHe should be bringing her home soon, right? I need to go tell Grandma the good news ASAP!â
âI donât think so. Theyâre sitting together to clear up some things. Ellinorâs attitude is really negative.
She clearly doesnât want to talk to Theo.â Veronica frowned. âClear up what? The baby in Ellinorâs belly is my brotherâs. She should be giving birth soon, right? Why are they still fussing around?â Belinda sent a helpless emoji. âYouâre asking me? I donât want to see this outcome either. Thatâs why I contacted you. I hope you can bring Marissa to find us. Only Marissaâs presence can put pressure on Theo to apologize to Ellinor.â
Veronica felt like her brother was being treated unfairly. âApologize? My brother hasnât done anything wrong. Why should he be the one to apologize? It was Ellinor who left without a word. Sheâs been running away from home for half a year on a whim! She should be the one to apologize, right?â
Belinda was a bit helpless. âVeronica, do you want them to make up or not?â
Even though Veronica was a bit hot-headed, she really hoped that Ellinor would come back.
âAlright! Send me the address of the restaurant; Iâll bring my grandma there later.â
