Chapter 4

" Emma please come in" I spoke while sitting on my bed

" Yes my lady, you called" Emma said walking into the room.

" What has my husband been up to recently?" I asked.

By my surroundings I already knew that at this point I was not living with him.

" He left to aid in the war, My lady. Remember last week was his farewell party" She told me.

If I remember correctly, my husband left to go aid the war for 2 years This is the perfect opportunity to go to the orphanage.

"My lady?" She asked

" Emma prepare a carriage, we will leave at once to the orphanage"

" My lady why the orphanage?"

"I plan to adopt some children ------

" But what will Lord Henry say"

" He does not need to know Emma, besides he is not even here nor lives here"

" Of course, my lady" Emma said leaving me alone

I am thankful to have someone like her by my side

My husband after learning I am unable  to get pregnant sent me away to the county home.

The staff was small but I loved living here

I hope the children like it here
