I Love You, Miss GeniusWords: 3239

“That’s an excellent idea!” Sienna was impressed with Adele’s plan. “Let’s do as you said. I’ll make a tweet now.”

“Wait a minute, Sienna. If you do that today, it’ll be like announcing your intention to mess Bonnie up. What’ll your grandpa do to you then?”

Sienna was relieved that she had not jumped the gun. “It’s a good thing I have someone as smart as you around.”

“I’m not smart or anything. You’re just blinded by hatred.” Adele once again complimented Sienna’s intelligence in a roundabout way this time. The former continued, “Stay low for a few days and cancel all your gigs. Make your fans curious about your sudden silence.

“Then, wait until the whole thing festers before publishing a picture of yourself looking pitiful. I’ll hire internet trolls and tell them to turn your fans against Bonnie. That way, you won’t need to say or do anything.

“It’ll look like the fans started it all. That means your grandpa won’t have a reason to punish you, don’t you think?”

“Fantastic! Let’s do that!” Sienna balled her fist and said proudly, “Just wait, Bonnie! You won’t know what hit you when I exact my revenge!”

...

Bonnie spent the next few days tending to her wound. About a week later, she regained her vision and returned to the university the following day.

The school counselor stood at the podium and said, “We have an exchange student with us today. Let’s welcome him.”

No one was particularly excited initially, but the girls lost their minds when they saw the exchange student’s exceptional looks. It took the girls everything they had not to whistle at him.

“Hmm?” Bonnie uttered, bewildered. She was unsure if she was being oversensitive, but she felt the exchange student was stealing glances at her.

The school counselor gave him the floor and said, “Please introduce yourself.”

The exchange student wrote his name on the whiteboard, and Bonnie’s eyes widened in shock. She thought, Meanwhile, Keenan remained silently at the podium. He had not spoken a word since entering the lecture hall. He was so distant and elusive that he unwittingly seduced most of the female students.

“Oh, my! He’s so arrogant that it makes him look so cool! He even has those adorable vampire fangs and a baby face. They make him look years younger than my brother, who’s already in junior high. I can’t stand it anymore. I’m brimming with motherly love now. I must make him my boyfriend.”

The girl’s friend said with frustration, “Motherly love? If that’s the case, you should become his stepmom. What does that have to do with becoming his girlfriend?”

“Who says we can’t shower our boyfriend with motherly love? Is there a rulebook for relationships? Did anyone write such a thing?”

The school counselor felt a little awkward. “Uh, aren’t you going to say something, Keenan?”

He frowned and said, “Can I take a seat now?”

“Uh, go ahead and find a seat for yourself then.”

All of the female students in the hall grew restless.

“Come over here and sit with me, Keenan. It’s a window seat. You’ll get some a nice view here.”

“Maybe you should sit next to me. Everyone’s vying for you, after all.”
