âThatâs an excellent idea!â Sienna was impressed with Adeleâs plan. âLetâs do as you said. Iâll make a tweet now.â
âWait a minute, Sienna. If you do that today, itâll be like announcing your intention to mess Bonnie up. Whatâll your grandpa do to you then?â
Sienna was relieved that she had not jumped the gun. âItâs a good thing I have someone as smart as you around.â
âIâm not smart or anything. Youâre just blinded by hatred.â Adele once again complimented Siennaâs intelligence in a roundabout way this time. The former continued, âStay low for a few days and cancel all your gigs. Make your fans curious about your sudden silence.
âThen, wait until the whole thing festers before publishing a picture of yourself looking pitiful. Iâll hire internet trolls and tell them to turn your fans against Bonnie. That way, you wonât need to say or do anything.
âItâll look like the fans started it all. That means your grandpa wonât have a reason to punish you, donât you think?â
âFantastic! Letâs do that!â Sienna balled her fist and said proudly, âJust wait, Bonnie! You wonât know what hit you when I exact my revenge!â
...
Bonnie spent the next few days tending to her wound. About a week later, she regained her vision and returned to the university the following day.
The school counselor stood at the podium and said, âWe have an exchange student with us today. Letâs welcome him.â
No one was particularly excited initially, but the girls lost their minds when they saw the exchange studentâs exceptional looks. It took the girls everything they had not to whistle at him.
âHmm?â Bonnie uttered, bewildered. She was unsure if she was being oversensitive, but she felt the exchange student was stealing glances at her.
The school counselor gave him the floor and said, âPlease introduce yourself.â
The exchange student wrote his name on the whiteboard, and Bonnieâs eyes widened in shock. She thought, Meanwhile, Keenan remained silently at the podium. He had not spoken a word since entering the lecture hall. He was so distant and elusive that he unwittingly seduced most of the female students.
âOh, my! Heâs so arrogant that it makes him look so cool! He even has those adorable vampire fangs and a baby face. They make him look years younger than my brother, whoâs already in junior high. I canât stand it anymore. Iâm brimming with motherly love now. I must make him my boyfriend.â
The girlâs friend said with frustration, âMotherly love? If thatâs the case, you should become his stepmom. What does that have to do with becoming his girlfriend?â
âWho says we canât shower our boyfriend with motherly love? Is there a rulebook for relationships? Did anyone write such a thing?â
The school counselor felt a little awkward. âUh, arenât you going to say something, Keenan?â
He frowned and said, âCan I take a seat now?â
âUh, go ahead and find a seat for yourself then.â
All of the female students in the hall grew restless.
âCome over here and sit with me, Keenan. Itâs a window seat. Youâll get some a nice view here.â
âMaybe you should sit next to me. Everyoneâs vying for you, after all.â
