âIs Trina the rumored stepsister ? I heard she was gentle and graceful , but she looks like she wants to kill Bonnie."
Nancy pitied Bonnie, saying , âThat reminds me. My stepsister is just like Trina. Bonnie turned to look at Trina. After some thought, Bonnie asked, âIs your stepsister also a hypocrite? Nancy answered, âWell, itâs certainly not because they look alike. She and Bonnie exchanged glances and giggled. Since the duo experienced a similar past, they knew what each other had gone through.
Meanwhile, Trina wondered what the duo was talking about.
âWhat are those two giggling about? I canât explain it, but Iâm sure theyâre making fun of me."
Bonnie and Nancy grew much closer to each other. ârhe former patted Nancyâs shoulder and said, âAlthough Iâm the author of this novel and have a way to give you the lead role, I feel thatâs the last thing you want me to do. If | understand you well enough, youâd prefer to fight for your merits.
âMhm!â Nancy nodded in approval. She determinedly said, âIâm only asking for a chance, not to rig the game. Bonnie had a newfound respect for Nancy after hearing that.
Soon after, the audition began. Trina was nervous, even though she had prepared herself for it.
However, her confidence shattered when she heard Bonnie was also here for the audition.
Ultimately, Trina could not even perform to her usual standard. Even so, she did not fee] too bad about herself because she knew how beautiful Bonnie was. Trina simply stood no chance at the lead role, even if she had performed well.
âYou may leave, Ms. Trina.â The director waved her off coldly. He whispered to the producer, âShe couldn't remember her lines. How dare she come for the open casting. She mustâve thought we wouldnât lake this seriously. Is she looking down on us? The producer responded, âShe must've thought she could land the role by relying on her looks. She assumed we'd overlook her inability to temember her lines because her looks would dazzle us. Also, she might think she can rely on dubbing. âThat's low. What does that girl take the studio for? What does she take me for? Iâm one of the best directors in Pyralis, damn it. I canât believe she underestimated us. Give me her file. ] want to know who she is and ban her from our studio cntircly. Trina was still within earshot at that moment. Although the director and producer were whispering , they were still pretty audible .
Hence, Trian overheard their whole conversation.
She gritted her tecth and balled her fists, thinking, âItâs all Bonnicâs fault! I wouldnât have felt so nervous if it werenât for her! Sheâs the reason I humiliated myself! Since thatâs the case, the director and producer emphasize acting skills more than looks.
âHonestly, I donât think Bonnie can act even if her life depended on it. If she could, Mom and Dad wouldn't have disowned her."
Ultimately , Trina decided she was not in a hurry to leave. Instead, she stood aside and awaited Bonnieâs turn to audition.
Since Bonnie had just seen Trinaâs embarrassing audition, the latter thought it was only fitting she saw Bonnieâs as well. Trina even prepared her phone to start recording Bonnieâs audition . The former intended to upload it to the internet to humiliate Bonnie.
Half an hour passed, but Bonnieâs turn never arrived . Instead , Nancy stepped forward to audition, and Bonnie cheered for her, âGive it your all, Nancy. You can do it. âAll right!â Nancy took a deep breath and started acting.
Bonnie felt satisfied with her performance. Nancy had memorized her lines well and portrayed the female lead role flawlessly.
âI knew Nancy would be perfect for this role!"
âMarvelous!â The director instinctively applauded Nancy. Afterward, he stood up and approached Bonnie.
Trina wondered what was happening.
âwasnât the director praising Nancy? Why is he approaching Bonnie instead?"
