âWhat's the secret?â
âDo you know who wrote my hit songs and created the melody?â
âThe composer and lyricists of all your songs kept their names anonymous. Are you going to tell me...â Suddenly, it hit him. Xavierâs eyes widened.
Orpheus had won many Best Actor and Best Singer awards. His latter achievement was primarily due to well written songs. Many artists in the industry begged Orpheus to let his composer and lyricist write a few songs for them, but none succeeded in convincing him.
The last thing Xavier expected was Bonnie to be the elusive composer and lyricist.
âThereâs more,â Orpheus added.
âTh-thereâs more?!â Xavier stammered.
âHehehe! The head of the Jade Horizon Hotel was Bonwickâs apprentice . Oh, you have no idea how delicious Bonwickâs cooking is.
Damn, my mouth is watering now. I'll have to ask her to make me dinner at her place tonight.â
Orpheus gulped as he spoke.
Xavier also gulped, but not for the same reason Orpheus did. The former was shocked that Bonnie had so many different identities and was the best in every field.
âIs she even human?â Xavier looked at Bonnie in awe, thinking, âThank goodness I changed my mind in time and bought her that billion-dollar ginseng. Otherwise, she would've dragged my family into oblivion with her inhuman skills."
After listening to Bonnieâs suggestions, the director showed newfound respect for her.
Simultaneously , he felt so confident that he knew his television adaptation of her novel would be a massive hit.
âAh, damn it!â The director suddenly smacked his head.
âWhat's wrong? Are you stressed because you missed a part? Ttâs okay, I can explain it again.â
Bonnic looked at the director in puzzlement.
âThatâs not what Iâm worried about, Ms. Bonnie. We just lost our female lead!â
Since Tatiana had offended Bonnie, Xavier supported the latter and fired Tatiana. Moreover, Tatiana could never return to the industry.
âJust pick a new actress,â Bonni said casually, âTatiana didnât look the part anyway.â
The director could not help but agree, âShe mightâve enjoyed misusing her status and had a nasty character, but her acting skills were immaculate. Otherwise, I wouldnât have chosen her as the female lead.â
âYou should choose someone with better looks,â Bonnie suggested.
The director looked at her admiringly and asked, âDo you have an acting bug, Ms. Bonnie? You have killer looks, after all. Iâm confident the drama will be a massive hit if you take the female lead role!â
Bonnie was shocked. âT have no talent in acting, and 1âm not interested in it. Maybe you should look for someone better suited for the role.â
The director was disappointed about her response. He looked at her otherworldly beauty and could picture how she would look in a historical dress.
âIt'd be breathtaking! What a shame!"
Bonnie made another suggestion, âHow about you open castings?â
âT donât see another way around it, Ms. Bonnie. That reminds me. We have an opening for the role of a minor character. Do you think you can do it?â The director stared at Bonnie.
She thought, âIâve never tried acting. Iâm not into it, nor do I have the time. I need to focus on my work in the research institute, not to mention attending college."
