Chapter 809:
âHere, I made this.
Drink it while itâs still warm.â
Rhys then turned his attention to Hamilton and Patrick, as though noticing them for the first time.
âIs everything settled?â
Hamilton nodded and replied, âYes. The arrangements have been made as per your instructions. Nothing new to report.â
Without changing his expression, Rhys shifted his gaze to Patrick, who looked noticeably worn out, his eyes shadowed by sleepless nights.
âDid you personally oversee it?â
Patrick immediately adopted an air of innocent misery, his expression almost comically pitiful.
âMr. Green, I think they just donât like me. When Hamilton gives them orders, they finish everything quickly, but when itâs me, they suggest I handle it myself.â
Hamilton smirked, curiosity piqued.
âWhat exactly did you ask them to do?â
Patrick hesitated before muttering, âNothing complicatedâ¦â
âI just told them to track Haleâs movements within three days.â
Finding Matteoâs whereabouts was no easy task, let alone Haleâs. Three days likely wouldnât yield any results.
Hamilton casually slung an arm around Patrickâs shoulders and said to Rhys, âMr. Green, donât worry. Iâll take care of it. Please donât get upset.â

With that, Hamilton dragged Patrick away.
Harlee continued eating, silently observing the duoâs antics as though it were routine. She had grown accustomed to this dynamic.
Besides, Patrickâs occasional missteps provided opportunities for Hamilton to step in with some much-needed correction.
Unfazed, Rhys seated himself beside Harlee, carefully serving her more food.
He had personally prepared this lavish spread after Harlee mentioned wanting to sample a variety of cuisines before their engagement celebration.
His efforts had begun well before dawn.
Just then, Patrickâs phone rang in his pocket.
He fumbled to answer it, exclaiming, âI have news! Big news!â
Breaking free from Hamiltonâs grip, Patrick pressed the answer button and listened intently. Moments later, his expression darkened.
âWhat? Keep him under surveillance. Iâm on my way!â
Ending the call, Patrick reported, âMr. Green, Miss Sanderson, thereâs been a sighting of Hale. It seems heâs arrived in Baythornâ¦â
Harleeâs gaze grew colder.
As expected, Hale hadnât given up.
Rhysâs expression hardened.
