Chapter 246:
Any words of concern felt hollow.
But besides concern, he had nothing else to offer and was not in a position to ask why she hadnât responded.
In the cafeteria on the first floor, students from the Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Department, fresh from a lecture, were bustling for food. Out of nowhere, someone in the crowd yelled, âMiss Sanderson is making headlines! Check the trending topics!â
Kaysen pulled out his phone and scrolled through the trending topics.
His face reddened with anger.
âWhat is this nonsense? Do they think they can just slander her like this? Not while Iâm around!â
Kaysen left his meal untouched and plunged into defending Harlee online. The other students rallied, resolved not to let a respected teacher be maligned by internet trolls.
Meanwhile, Harlee had just plugged in her phone. Noticing the online commotion, she immediately video-called Tonya.
âWell, look who finally picked up! Tonya and I almost broke our fingers trying to get throughâ¦â Ritchie shared every detail, including how he and Tonya had worked together to erase all traces of Harleeâs photos from the internet.
âI appreciate the efforts you two put in,â Harlee replied calmly, her gratitude apparent to those who knew her well.
âDonât forget to treat us to a meal!â Tonya pouted.

Harlee gave a soft laugh.
âOf course.â
Ritchieâs face turned serious.
âWhatâs our next move? Should I handle the person behind this?â
Harlee maintained her composure.
âNo need. Just continue with the photo cleanup online. Iâll handle everything else.â Her voice became sharp and cold.
âAdelina wonât escape this!â
Ritchie and Tonya paused, silently pitying Adelina.
Anyone who crossed Harlee faced severe consequences.
âBy the way, Harlee, did you know who was behind this when it first started blowing up?â Tonya asked.
Harlee raised an eyebrow.
A despairing cry came through the phone. With a slight smile, Harlee responded in her gentle, pleasant tone, âYou know, I like to keep a low profile.â Without their help, even if she had figured out who the culprit was, clearing the photos would have taken much longer.
The three shared a knowing smile.
Harlee then outlined her strategy.
âGot it. Weâll look after the photos while you deal with the mastermind,â Tonya and Ritchie said in unison.
