Chapter 240:
Earlier, on her way to the auditorium, Harlee had used her phone to infiltrate the forum, swiftly tracking down the IP addresses associated with those slanderous posts against her. It was Adelina who had been behind them.
âMoron!â Harlee grumbled under her breath, her eyes shooting a frosty look toward Kaysen as he neared the door. She snatched a remote control from the nearby table and hurled it at him. Kaysen yelped, tripping and collapsing onto his knees.
He tried to speak, but his voice failed him.
His eyes flew open in disbelief.
How could this be happening to him? Had he been silenced?
Positioned with his back to the audience, the other students couldnât see his face, oblivious to the incidentâs true nature. Noticing Kaysenâs plight, a wave of protests erupted among the students.
âMiss Sanderson, weâre here to learn, not to serve as your targets! This physical reprimand must be addressed. We demand an apology!â
Kaysenâs follower initiated the protest, quickly rallying three hundred students to his cause.
âIndeed, Miss Sanderson, our purpose here is to learn about this so-called new system, not to endure your harsh treatment.
Even Mr. Bates would never resort to physical discipline. What gives you the right to strike us students?â
gαâηÏνððsâ¤cоðº, your storytelling home
âMiss Sanderson, could you please tell us about your academic background? From which university did you graduate? And where might you be employed presently? What kind of expertise do you intend to bring to the Aerospace Mechanical Engineering Department?â
âHow is it that someone who has never attended a university is teaching us? We are, after all, students from Baythorn University.â Most of the students nodded along, their voices overlapping.
âYeah, absolutely!â
âAre you questioning my qualifications?â Harlee asked, a chuckle escaping her as her long eyelashes veiled the anger flashing in her eyes.
âTell me, what aircraft system are you currently using?â
Dorsey, puzzled by Harleeâs question but willing to engage, responded, âAL2563V.â
Harlee, caught off guard, retorted, âWillis gave you the bare minimum, didnât he? Heâs handed you a system that I designed casually.â
The three hundred students fell silent, taken aback. Those who had been vocal with their protests moments earlier now withdrew, looking embarrassed.
A system they held in such high regard was designed casually by her? So, Willis didnât lie. They accepted it immediately because Willis had mentioned that a friend had thrown it together casually.
Initially, they chuckled at Willisâ claims, dismissing them as mere boasts. Yet, it all turned out to be true.
Clearly, Harlee was indeed the expert Willis had managed to bring in after considerable effort.
