Chapter 235:
Fletcher pressed the answer button.
One moment, Fletcher was still savoring the joy of Harleeâs gentle tone, a welcome change from her usual aloof demeanor. The next, he was furiously hitting the steering wheel.
His mood soured, especially when Coulson mentioned that Rhys showed no interest in the Sanderson familyâs daughter and had deliberately allowed the last press interview about the Green-Sanderson alliance to unfold in such a way.
A cold anger flashed in Fletcherâs eyes. Why did the Green family disrespect his sister? Did they really think their status as one of the most influential families gave them the right to disregard everyone else?
The car halted at a red light, and Fletcher said sternly, âIf the Green family thinks they can belittle the Sandersons, theyâll soon learn the price of their insult!â
Coulson, a high-ranking officialâs son who owed Fletcher a favor, had readily agreed to help investigate Rhys.
âIs that all you need?â His voice was steady, as if handling the Green family was no trouble at all.
Fletcherâs grip on the steering wheel tightened, the veins on his arms prominent, his gaze fixed on the phoneâs call screen, his eyes narrowed.
He was like a lion ready to strike at any threat to his territory.
âYes!â He wouldnât tolerate anyone looking down on his sister, so why should Rhys get away with it? âMy only request: take down the Green Group.â

Determined to win Rhys for Harlee, Fletcher was prepared to go to any lengths to make it happen.
Meanwhile, Harlee had just left the parking lot when she encountered Lindsay and Adelina walking together, hand in hand, toward her.
âOh, if it isnât Harlee? Being a Sanderson family daughter surely has its perks. You get to walk into Baythorn University like you own it. I heard youâre giving a lecture today. What could you possibly teach? How a rude bumpkin turned into a Sanderson heiress?â
Harlee looked at Adelina and replied coldly, âConsidering you roam freely around Baythorn University after being invited to be a judge, it appears the standards have really dropped.â
Adelina clenched her teeth in anger. She considered herself a celebrated fashion designer, yet Harlee mocked her like this.
Her tone quickly turned overly sweet.
âHarlee, I am a famous designer, and itâs natural for me to assist with evaluations at the Design Institute.â
âBut Iâve never heard of any accomplishments from you. Why are you giving a lecture here?â Lindsay sneered.
âThis is Baythorn University, not your familyâs estate.
Do you honestly think everything will go as you plan? We were personally invited as judges by the university.
And you? How did you manage to get in? Did your connection with Willis help?â Lindsay concluded with a scornful laugh, looking Harlee up and down.
Adelinaâs eyes welled up, making her appear pathetic.
