Chapter 1445:
Now, Tiffany was locked in. The breach of contract penalty Harlee had set was a staggering ten billion.
Throughout Harleeâs recovery after childbirth, Rhys and the confinement nanny primarily cared for the newborn. Harlee spent her days resting, nourishing herself, and enjoying time with her baby. As for the babyâs name, Nathaniel and Lonnie had yet to come to an agreement, so the baby remained unnamed.
Soon, it was the day following the babyâs one-month celebration.
âThe baby has been born for so long and still doesnât have a nickname. Just look at how wronged the poor thing is,â Skyla said, holding the baby.
âIn my opinion, Harlee and Rhys should choose the name themselves. We elders shouldnât interfere.â
It seemed the baby understood Skylaâs words, giggling and waving his arms in apparent agreement.
Rhys glanced at the baby, squeezed Harleeâs hand, and suggested with a smile, âWhat about Felix Sanderson?â
Rhys and Harleeâs deepest hope was for the baby to lead a life filled with happiness and peace. This was the greatest wish they had for their child. They didnât expect him to accomplish great things. They simply hoped he would grow up safe and happy.
âSanderson?â Harleeâs expression showed her surprise.
The room filled with stunned faces. Nobody had anticipated that Rhys would propose Harleeâs surname for the baby.

Rhys gazed at Harlee warmly, his smile gentle.
âYou brought him into the world. It makes sense he carries your surname.â
This had been Rhysâ conviction all along. After everything Harlee had endured during childbirth, it seemed right that the baby bore her surname.
Harlee glanced toward Nathaniel, mindful of the traditional importance placed on familial names and eager to avoid any conflict. Yet, Nathaniel was already affectionately calling the baby Felix, showing no concern over the surname debate.
The Sanderson family exhaled in relief, having feared Nathanielâs disapproval.
Nathaniel addressed the family, chuckling, âDo I really seem like an old-fashioned stubborn elder? Whether the childâs last name is Green or Sanderson, isnât he still our precious boy?â
With his words, the room erupted in approval, and both families quickly embraced the name Felix.
âWhat should his nickname be?â Lonnie asked, gently stroking Felixâs hand.
âFel!â Harlee said. She had assumed the baby would carry the Green surname, but Rhysâ announcement was indeed a delightful shock. Rhysâ choice had truly been a significant one.
Harlee had spent three months at the Sanderson residence recovering after giving birth. Playing with Felix was the highlight of her day. Lonnie and Skyla, ever protective, shielded Harlee from any chores. They even discouraged her from breastfeeding Felix, concerned it might be too much for her.
Unbeknownst to them, Harlee was growing restless, beginning to feel the weight of postpartum depression.
âIâm so restless, Rhys. My parents are overprotective. They barely let me feed Felix,â Harlee said.
She approached Rhys from behind as he worked in the study, slipping her hands over his shoulders and playfully adjusting his collar to reveal his collarbone and Adamâs apple.
A small smile appeared on Rhysâ lips. He closed his laptop slowly and tilted his head to look at her, his eyes warm with love.
