Chapter 1305:
âCan we avoid using medication?â Harlee asked.
Noel wasnât taken aback by her question. He knew that if Harlee hadnât been prioritizing the safety of her unborn child over her own, she wouldnât have delayed seeking medical help. He looked at her with wide, somewhat startled eyes. âYouâre ready to follow through with the treatment?â
After a dayâs research, Noel had concluded that Harleeâs psychological condition wasnât excessively severe. With her full cooperation, a complete recovery was achievable.
Harlee responded with a sense of resignation, âWhat else would bring me here?â
Noel quietly cleared his throat, picked up a research paper, and said earnestly, âWe can skip the medication, but only if you fully engage with the treatment and donât dwell too much on Tonya.â
Harlee paused briefly and then smiled, âAlright. Iâve talked to Tonya about that in my dreams. She understands.â
âGood. Once back in Baythorn, Iâll prepare a comprehensive treatment plan. We can adjust it as necessary,â Noel said, looking at her earnestly. âDonât worry, both you and the baby will be healthy.â
âThank you.â Harleeâs eyes welled up, momentarily at a loss for words. Noel had been incredibly supportive, and she felt indebted to him.

âDonât stress yourself. You and Rhys are my closest friends. Itâs only natural for me to look after you,â Noel reassured her with a smile.
Harlee felt a comforting warmth flood her chest as she listened to him. After a while, she looked up and earnestly asked, âNoel, can you promise not to tell Rhys about our talk today?â
âWhy?â Noelâs expression turned concerned upon hearing this. He feared that Harlee might still intend to shoulder her burdens alone, which could worsen her condition and even cause further damage.
Harlee didnât offer an explanation. Instead, she stubbornly asked, âCan you?â
After a brief pause, Noel gave a slow nod. âI can agree to your request, but I need to understand why you want to keep this from Rhys.â
âIâm concerned that this illness may take time to heal, and he might want me to end the pregnancy for the sake of my well-being,â Harlee said, her gaze falling as her hand rested gently on her abdomen.
Noel gently lifted her chin, meeting her eyes with a comforting smile. âYou have my word. Both you and the baby will be healthy. Iâll make sure of it. Just trust in me, okay?â
Noel knew Harlee needed steadfast support and hope more than anything. She had already mustered the courage to take this step, and he was committed to guiding her through the rest, ensuring her safety along the way.
âThank you,â Harlee said, looking at him with sincere gratitude.
âThereâs no need for thanks between us,â Noel responded, smiling warmly. âWeâre friends, after all.â
Harlee gave a firm nod and said, âThen Iâm relying on you this time!â Her condition was likely more complex than before, and she knew Noel would need considerable time to assist her.
They left the room together.
Noel suddenly stopped walking, turning to Harlee with a serious expression. âDo you plan to keep this from Rhys indefinitely?â
At his question, Harlee stopped and replied with a casual tone, âLetâs keep it between us until he finds out. Weâll talk about it by then.â
