Chapter 1150:
Meeting Waylonâs eyes, Liliana said with urgency, âMr. Salazar, what I need to discuss is of utmost importance. It concerns you, me, and the future of the Juarez Group!â
Waylonâs face showed his annoyance, yet he paused his activities and faced her.
âWhatâs so pressing that it couldnât wait?â
Liliana straightened up, her expression stern.
âMr. Salazar, it might seem trivial to you now, but if you hear me out, youâll understand the serious impact this woman could have on your operations.â
She then detailed everything she knew about Harlee, including Harleeâs identity, her skills, and the threat she represented.
As Waylon listened, his impatience mounted, his eyelids heavy.
âCome to the point,â he cut in, evidently uninterested.
âJust a few days ago, I encountered Harlee on the film set,â Liliana continued, her voice shaky.
âShe confronted over a dozen bodyguards alone, overpowering them and leaving them defeated.â
She added with a quiver in her voice, âBefore Harlee left, she warned me sheâd settle matters with me. Iâm concerned⦠I fear she might target you because of my actions.â
Naturally, Liliana couldnât acknowledge that Harleeâs threat was in response to her targeting Tiffany. Instead, she carefully avoided explaining what had truly happened on set.
âHarlee?â Waylon said, evidently not recognizing the name.
Liliana clenched her fists, speaking with careful intent as she said, âThat woman is relentless. Once she decides on revenge, she wonât stop until sheâs fully satisfied.â
This piqued Waylonâs interest.

He paused to consider this.
A woman so driven by vengeance? How fascinating.
A smirk crossed his face, piqued by the challenge.
He was curious whether anyone in Mogluylia would actually dare confront him.
âI see.
After we wrap up tonightâs agenda, Iâll arrange for her to be brought here. Then you can handle her as you see fit,â Waylon responded dismissively.
To Waylon, Harlee was merely another person with some noteworthy skills.
As for her fighting prowess, he could always employ additional mercenaries if necessary.
His primary concern lay with two men who had attacked him tonight. The mostâ¦
The disturbing fact was none of those assassins knew about the identities of the two men.
Meanwhile, Liliana believed Waylon had heeded her caution. She exhaled in relief, feeling the tension drain from her body. She saw Harleeâs vendetta as a threat she couldnât face alone. Waylon was her sole backer in this fight.
What Liliana failed to grasp, though, was that Waylonâs assurances were just placating words. In reality, he underestimated Harlee considerably and had no real plans to confront her any time soon.
The next morning, Harlee woke up in a fog, her hand reaching out instinctively to the spot beside her.
However, no one was there. The spot felt cold to the touch.
