Chapter 111:
She needed to save time to focus on earning money. One billion⦠If collaborating with Matteo turned out to be too risky, she would have to explore other options.
For the first time, she truly grasped how challenging it was to earn money.
Rhys kept the conversation centered on car modifications. Their dialogue became animated, and Harleeâs admiration for him grew with each exchange.
It was unfortunate that Rhys was engaged. Otherwise, he would have made an excellent boyfriend.
After dinner, they strolled together toward the elevator.
Rhys turned to Harlee.
âShall I take you home?â
Harlee glanced up and shook her head.
âThereâs no need for that. I drove here myself today.â
Without hesitation, Rhys pulled out his phone.
âIn that case, Miss Sanderson, would you mind giving me a ride home? Hamilton just messaged me saying my car got scratched, and heâs handling it.â
A trace of doubt flickered in Harleeâs eyes, but she nodded in agreement.
In the lobby, the valet had already placed Harleeâs Bugatti Veyron right at the entrance. Rhys glanced at Harleeâs car. It was custom-made, resembling a coupleâs version of the Bugatti Veyron in his garage.
He decided to drive his Bugatti Veyron from then on.
Harlee walked directly to the driverâs seat, started the car, shifted gears, and accelerated.

Her movements were smooth, and the car quickly picked up speed.
Lindsay had just exited the lobby and watched as the Bugatti Veyron vanished into the horizon.
Did she just see Rhys and Harlee?
Lindsay lingered for a moment, then shook off the thought.
Harlee couldnât possibly own a Bugatti Veyron, nor could the car belong to Rhys, since Lindsay knew Rhys preferred Pagani cars.
Lindsay realized she had to intensify her efforts to uncover Harleeâs true identity. She couldnât allow Harlee any advantages!
Inside the car, Rhys observed Harleeâs skillful and quick driving, a smile naturally appearing on his face. This was the first time he had been a passenger in a womanâs car, an experience he had eagerly awaited.
Ever since he had seen Harlee race, he had yearned to sit beside her and feel the thrill firsthand.
It was truly impressive. Yet, her speed was excessive, and soon, they were at his villa.
Harlee switched off the engine, shifted the gears, and parked the car before turning to Rhys.
âIâm still working on the billion. It might take a little longer to repay you.â
Rhys nodded in response.
âAlright, no rush. Repay me when youâre able.â
After wishing him goodnight, Harlee pressed the gas pedal and drove off, not looking back. Rhys laughed quietly to himself.
âNot even a momentâs hesitationâ¦â It didnât matter.
