Chapter 66: ~65~ Reunion

OverprotectiveWords: 11757

I woke up in the same position I fell asleep, in Jason's arms. Everything was still fresh, but at the moment I didn't want to think about it.  The craziness that I have been put through over the past few hours has been drowned out by the calmness I was currently feeling now with Jason.

I looked up at Jason to see him looking down at me. "Do you feel better?" he asked after kissing my forehead. I nodded giving him a smile. "Good," he said more to himself. "The doctor came in while you were asleep. He said you should be clear to go by tonight."

I was almost so excited to hear that, but then I remembered. Go where? Certainly not back home, if I could even call it that anymore. I didn't get to see anything, thankfully, but it was still such a....horrifying experience.

"Hey, hey," Jason said making me look up at him. "I know what you're thinking. You don't have to worry about that okay?" he asked. I took in what he said. Jason would handle everything. He always did. I should be fine. I nodded and tried to put the thought at the back of my head. I was at least going to be out of this hospital.

There was a short moment of silence before Jason spoke up again. "Do you think you're ready to see everyone else?" he asked. I had almost forgotten. "Of course I want to see them," I said looking up at him.

He chuckled and gently moved me to the other side of the bed off of him. "Ok. I'll be right back. I'm going to get them." he said. He quickly left and arrived just as fast, this time with everyone. I smiled seeing all of the familiar faces. They were the same people that were here earlier, only now I remembered them.

The room immediately felt warmer again. I was engulfed in numerous hugs before I could even say anything, but I didn't mind. I just embraced it. I felt so safe at the moment. "Guys be careful!" Jason said when I was basically in a dog pile. "You don't know how relieved I am right now," Jacob said pulling me into yet another hug.

"Hey, why does he get all of the hugs?" Justin pouted. "If anything I'm the most relieved."

"Justin, this isn't a competition," Dylan said. "And?" I was going to tell them to stop but I started coughing instead. Worry immediately spread to everyone's faces. "Are you okay? Do you need water? She probably needs water. Dylan go get her some water," Jason said.

Dylan ran out and in a few minutes brought back some water. It was much needed. "Thank you," I said once I finished. My throat still hurt a little, but it was much better now. "Of course sweetie," Jason said smiling at me.

Jacob moved Dylan aside so that he could sit in the chair next to my bed. "Now that I am not worried about you, I'm starving," Justin said. "Yeah me too."

"Same." The other boys chorused in. I scrunched my eyebrows. "Well, then why didn't you eat?" I asked. "Ah she is still spicy," Grayson said. I almost didn't see him. Dylan nudged him and then rolled his eyes at me.

"I'm not gonna answer that question. I am sure you are starving too," Dylan said. I hadn't realized it earlier, but I was. I didn't remember the last time I ate. "Okay. I am going to try to sneak in some McDonald's or something. Justin wanna come?" Jason asked. Justin nodded rubbing his stomach.

"Okay, call me if anything happens," Jason said to Jacob. "Nothings gonna happen," I said slightly rolling my eyes. "Just making sure," he said smiling at me.

He and Justin left and I was left with Jacob, Dylan, and Grayson. I was about to say something to break the silence but Grayson beat me to it. Which at first I was happy about because everyone was just smiling at me, but I wish a stupid joke had come out of his mouth instead.

"Can I speak with Lisa?" he asked. Dylan and Jacob looked at each other. "Sure," Dylan said not even attempting to go anywhere. Grayson rolled his eyes. "Alone," he said gesturing for Jacob and Dylan to leave. "Uhh," Jacob said before being cut off by Grayson.

"I swear it will only take like five minutes," he said. Dylan sighed. "Fine, just don't do anything stupid," he said walking out. Jacob kissed my forehead before going out as well. I shifted on the bed a little once the door closed.

"Listen, just hear me out," was the first thing he started with. "Why are you talking about this now?" I asked quietly. Unfortunately, along with my other memories came the memories of Grayson telling me he liked me.

"When else?" he asked exasperatedly. "I've never been so worried in my entire life, Lisa. Those hours waiting for the doctor to let us see you were the longest hours I have ever had to endure. A-and then when you lost your memories...,"

"I'm sorry," I said when he didn't say anything else. He walked over to me and held my hand, and surprisingly I didn't let go. "Don't apologize...It's not your fault. I-"

"Grayson I already told you. I'm with Liam." He pulled his hand away and rubbed his hands over his face. "Then why isn't he here? Huh? Where is he then? Cause I don't see him." It occurred to me that Liam wasn't here, but maybe he didn't know, or-

"And before you say anything else, yes he  did know."

"He's coming, Grayson. I've already told you-" I started to stay, but started coughing again. Grayson's expression immediately changed to one of worry. "Do you need more water?" he asked walking over to me. I shook my head. "No, I'm fine," I said after I stopped coughing.

"Lisa, I'm just stating it as it is. Its been awhile. And I'm not going to stop showing my feelings to you either," he said. I sighed and looked away from him. Could my brothers get back into the room already? As if my prayers were answered Jacob and Dylan came back inside.

"Alright. Times up," Dylan said. Grayson walked out without saying another word. "What did you guys talk about?" Jacob asked sitting in the chair next to my bed. "Oh the weather and stuff you know," I said.

"Hmh," Jacob said pulling out his phone. I rolled my eyes and watched as Dylan moved my foot, not so softly to the other side of the bed so that he could take the spot. "Gee thanks," I said dryly. He gave me a big smile. "Any time sis."

"Picture time!" Jacob suddenly exclaimed shoving his phone in my face. "Hey!" I said trying my best to cover my, probably disgusting looking face. "Stop. This has to happen for memory sake," Jacob said trying to get a "good" picture of me.

"Why would you want this to be a memory?" I asked. He suddenly stopped and looked at me. "Because after what happened today..we just need more memories," he said. Now I felt bad for even asking. "Ha! got it," he said quickly snapping a pic before I could even notice what he was doing.

"Jacob, that's not fair!" I whined. "I look terrible in that picture. Delete it," I said. "Sweetie you'll always look beautiful in my eyes," Jacob said pocketing his phone. "Ha, not in mine," Dylan said from the feet of the bed. I glared at him and he only laughed. "I'm just kidding, just kidding," he said.

"I missed your saltiness though," he said smiling. "Well, I don't miss your annoyingness."

"Obviously you still need English class," he replied back with a smirk. Oh, that smirk. I rolled my eyes and decided not to answer him. Not because I didn't have a comeback, but because I really did miss his annoyingness. It's amazing how you only realize how much you love someone only after something bad happens.

"Hey, guys?" I asked breaking the silence. Jacob and Dylan both looked up at me. "What is it?" Dylan asked setting his phone down. I played with the bracelet around my wrist, contemplating if I should ask the question or not.

Jacobs's hand came over mine, covering my hand and the bracelet. "Yes...We'll miss him too," he said answering my question. I nodded slightly and Dylan sat next to me on the bed. Where Jason sat before.

"I know we didn't show it, but we were starting to warm up to him too," he said. I nodded once again, swallowing the lump that had already started to form again. I wasn't going to cry again, Dad wouldnt have wanted me to cry. But how would I know? He's dead.

I couldn't stop myself from letting the tears go again. I felt two pairs of arms wrap me in a hug. "It'll be okay," Jacob said. I tried to stop myself from crying, and after a few minutes, I did. Geesh, I hated all of this crying.

"I'm sorry," I said. I had no idea why I was apologizing. Maybe because I was getting annoyed at myself for crying so much. "Why?" Jacob asked. "For crying so much. I don't want you to think I'm a baby."

"Lisa, you're only a baby when we prank you and you cry. This is different," Dylan said softly. I nodded and didn't say anything else. "You can cry all you want. I promise we won't call you a baby," Jacob said.

"Well, Justin may," Dylan said but stopped when Jacob shot him a glare. "-May not call you a baby," Dylan changed his sentence. Just then the door opened and in walked Jason and Justin with some McDonalds. A smile immediately made its way onto my face, from the smell alone.

"What happened?" Jason asked noticing my tear-stained face. Jacob did a little head moment to my bracelet and Jason understood. He gave me a soft smile and I nodded to him.

"Can we eat now?" Justin asked. Everyone laughed and Jason gave us all of our meals. There was some peace in the room now. Everyone just ate and laughed and it made me temporarily forget why I was at the hospital in the first place.

I woke up on someone's shoulder. I blinked a little and looked around to see that only one person was in here. It was dark out. The table clock read 11:30 pm. Jacob shifted in his spot and moved a little so that we were both more comfortable. After we all ate, We chatted for a while, before Jason took Dylan and Justin to find a hotel, and take a much-needed shower.

I had to stay here at the hospital, just for tonight. The doctor changed his mind and said he wanted to make sure my head injury wasn't anything worse and the best way to determine that, was to have me stay overnight.

I fell asleep not too long ago, but I couldn't stay asleep. One, because I basically slept most of the time I was here, and I just didn't want to have any nightmares about what happened. So I just layed there in Jacobs's arm enjoying the comfort and protection that naturally came with him.

What Grayson said earlier was also still playing in my head. Liam still had yet to show up, and it made me worry a little. Maybe he got into an accident on the way here? Or- he got caught up in something else. Whatever the case I hoped he would come tomorrow.

The door opened slightly and Jason walked in. I quickly pretended to sleep, otherwise, I would get attacked with mounds of questions.  I heard Jason's footsteps walk over and started shaking Jacob.

"W-what, what do you want?" Jacob asked groggily. "I'm checking in. Is everything alright?"

"Yes, its fine Jason. Go back to the hotel and get some sleep."

"Ok. I'm just making sure," he said. He kissed my forehead and I heard his footsteps start to retreat. "And you'll call me if anything changes?"

"Jason!" Jacob whispered yelled. "Ok, ok. Goodnight bro," Jason said finally leaving. I decided to actually get some sleep. Tomorrow would be a really tough day. Despite my getting to go "home", I didn't know how we would handle everything else, or what we would do.
