Omniscient POV

Jason stared at his mother in shock. He knew she was capable of many things, but this wasn't one of them. The look on her face, in her eyes, confirmed everything. His mother was truly crazy. There was no coming back from this.

He looked at his Dad on the floor. The man who he never really liked for the way he allowed his younger siblings to be treated. The man who he had, countless of times, turn his back on because of his past mistakes. Yet here he was, on the floor, with a bullet wound in his head. He was sure that his father was gone, but part of him didn't want to believe it. Everything happened so fast.

He then looked down at his hysterical little sister who he was trying to keep from seeing the mess.  He couldn't let her see what had happened. It would scar her for life.

Veronica backed up from the body as if she didn't know what had just happened. The gun remained in her hand, this time tho with a softer grip. Jason wondered what was going through her head in that very moment.

"Are you stupid? Don't just stand there, he needs help!" Jacob shouted. Jason knew Jacob didn't like their dad very much either, but over the current weeks, although he wouldnt admit it, he was starting to warm up to him. All those times when he would come to visit them and get turned down by all the boys except for Lisa, yet he would still come again in hopes that they would change their mind about him. Jacob almost respected him for that. It showed real initiative.

Jason looked at Jacob. He couldn't really tell what emotion was going through him. His face was unreadable. Jacob finally looked up at Jason. "W-what just happened?" he whispered. Before Jason could say anything Isaac walked back into the living room. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Johnathan on the floor.

"Veronica!...W-what did you do?" He asked staring down at the body. Veronica looked up at him as if just noticing he was there. "I- he deserved it!" She suddenly shouted making Lisa jump. Jason held her tighter and kissed her head. That was about the only thing he could do at the moment.

"You weren't supposed to shoot him!? The plan was come here, get the money, then leave."

"Well, the plan changed. You need to help me get rid of the body," Veronica said. She finally put the gun down on top of the fireplace and ran a hand through her hair. "What? No. I am not doing that!" Isaac exclaimed slowly trying to back out of the living room.

"What do you mean? You are just as much in this as I am."

"That's crazy! He needs a hospital!" Jacob suddenly exclaimed. Veronica quickly walked over to where she rested the gun and picked it up. "Don't tell me what I need to do!" She shouted now pointing the gun at Jacob. Jacobs's face paled, but he refused to back down. "What are you going to shoot me too?" Jacob asked staring right at his mother.

" Jacob stop," Jason said. Jacob wasn't doing any good by challenging his mother but Jason knew he wasn't going to back down. Especially after what just happened. "Hey, Hey! If you're going to shoot anyone else it's going to be me," Jason said.

"No, we aren't doing that!" Isaac said walking over to Veronica. "Come on, we can leave right now. Get as far away as possible before the police get here," he said. "No, you can't just leave, at least uncuff us," Jacob said.

"Come on. Think about it. We already have the money we can leave now," Isaac said completely ignoring what Jacob said. Veronica stuck her hands in her hair and started pacing the room. She then left the living room.

Jason felt Lisa's body began to relax and at first he thought she had just tired herself from crying. He decided to check the back of her head, already fearing the worse. And just as he feared the amount of blood that was on the cloth had doubled.

"No, no," he whispered as he turned her over. She was very pale and barely conscious. "Oh my god," Jacob said from the other couch. "Lisa, can you hear me? Lisa?" Jason asked tapping her face. She remained unconscious and that's when Jason knew he had to do something in that very moment. "Isaac! I know you don't want two murders pinned to you! So please, help us. We don't even care what you do after just let us go to the hospital. She won't survive much longer like this," Jason said. Tears were already making their way down his face.

This day was horrible as it was but now his worst nightmare of all might be coming true. It was his job to protect his little siblings and keep them safe, but now he had no idea where Dylan and Justin were, or if they were even okay. He and his brother were held captive and his little sister was unconscious from a severe head wound.

He had no idea how bad her injuries were, but all he knew was that there was too much blood. It couldn't be good at all. His set priority right now was to get Lisa to a hospital.

Isaac stood there shocked. He really didn't want any of this against him. He didn't sign up for this. He stupidly listened to Veronica thinking they were only going to get the money and leave, but now he already had one murder and another one that seemed pretty likely unless he did something.

He thought of his own kids, who he had abandoned. He wished he could go back and fix things but obviously, it was too late. But Johnathan, despite knowing that it was really late for him still tried to fix that. He didn't deserve to die. He did what Isaac wished he had done a long time ago and because of that Isaac decided to help them.

Veronica was still out of the living room so that gave him some time to act. He unlocked Jacobs handcuff and right after received a punch to the face. "I'm not sorry at all," Jacob said glaring at him. Isaac didn't do anything as he watched Jacob quickly walk over to Jason and Lisa.

"Go distract her or take the gun from her so we can leave," Jason said looking back up at Isaac. They both watched as Isaac left then looked back at Lisa. "How bad is it?" Jacob asked Jason. He was still trying to wake Lisa but to no avail.

"It's really bad, I should have done something sooner," Jason said wiping his hand across his face. "Don't say that. You couldn't okay? You couldn't." Seconds later Isaac shouted for them. Without another second of thinking, Jason and Jacob quickly got up and Jason picked up Lisa. They were both about to leave before Jacob stopped. "Wait, w-what about him?" he asked gesturing down to his Dad. Despite everything, it didn't feel right to just leave him there in the hands of his killer. There were a few seconds of silence as Jason and Jacob both looked down at their Dad.

The image would never leave their eyes. Everything bad he ever did simply disappeared. In this terrible, messed-up state, he was just their Dad. The dad they wish they could have had. The one they knew they could have had if only he had been given more time.

But they didn't have time to mourn they had to get their little sister to a hospital and Jason knew that. "Um, let's bring him," Jason said. He would bring him to the hospital, and he knew they wouldnt be able to bring him back, but it would be much better than just leaving him here.

Jason checked outside first to see if their Mom was still out there. He saw her unconscious on the ground yet there was no Isaac. Jason didn't even care, he just needed to get to the hospital. They got in the only available car which was Jacobs and left.

Dylans POV

"That's it, we need to go home. The police should be there. They'll be able to do more than we can," I said to Justin. We had been looking around for too long to keep track of. Liam hadn't stopped either and it didn't look like he wanted too anytime soon.

Justin had barely been saying anything. He was just blatantly staring out the window. I shook his shoulder which caught his attention. "Did you hear what I said? We are going back to the house," I repeated.

He simply nodded and continued looking out the window. I sighed not really knowing what else to say or do. We were just losing hope. I put the car in reverse from where I parked and went in the direction of our house.

In the rear-view, I could see Liam still following me and he hadn't stopped since. I still didn't like him. I don't know why I just couldn't. We pulled up to the house and the first thing I noticed was a woman on the ground. The door was wide open and Jacobs car that was here before was now gone. Yet there was no presence of a single cop car or any sign that there was any.

"What? Where are the cops?" I mumbled. Liam pulled in next to us and got out. We all got out and Liam walked over to us. "Is that...Mom?" Justin asked as we got closer to the body. She has a deep cut on her forehead but she was still breathing.

"Wh- I don't see why we're here. Lisa is clearly not here," Liam said looking away from Veronica. "Well we had to make sure, Liam," I said rolling my eyes. "Dylan, can you put aside your ego for a second and stop trying to attack me?" He asked.

"Excuse me?" Who does he think he is right now. Liam walked up to me until we were eye level. "You keep giving me dirty looks and snarky remarks and quite honestly I don't care. But right now it's not about you. We are trying to find Lisa so focus on that," he said.

When I didn't say anything he continued. "Please, let's just focus on that." I looked away from him and thought about what he said. It wasn't going to change how I viewed him, but he made a point.

"Guys!" Justin screamed from inside the house. Liam and I both ran inside and I couldn't believe what I saw. There was blood everywhere. "Nooo," Justin said collapsing onto the floor. "They can't all be gone," he cried. I picked him up and hugged him. "Come on Justin don't think like that. We-we don't know what happened okay?"

I let go of him and got my phone out of my pocket. "Um, uh I'm gonna try to call Jason or Jacob," I said. My hand was shaking so badly I could barely navigate to the phone app. I stopped, took a deep breath and clicked Jason's name.

It dialed, and dialed, and dialed and then the voicemail came on. I couldn't help how much faster my heart started beating and the growing anxiety. I led Justin to the kitchen cause he wouldnt stop looking at all of the blood.

"They're all gone Dylan, they're gone," Justin sobbed onto the counter. "Stop," I said tapping Jason's contact again. I remembered that Jacobs phone was broken so I couldn't call him. It once again went to voicemail.

I didn't know what to think. There was a literal massacre in our living room and now we really don't know where anyone is or if they are even okay.

I was about to call again when I heard some movement from the living room. Seeing as though all three of us were in the kitchen I immediately jumped up. Someone else was in here. Liam and I walked to the living room where I could see a man rummaging around. He was mumbling to himself and hadn't noticed us yet.

"Dad?" Liam asked squinting at the man. The man turned around and nearly fell over when he saw us. "L-Liam? what are you doing here?" I looked between the two not really sure what to think of what was happening right now. "Wait, this is your dad?" I asked Liam. It was the same stalker guy that has been bothering us non stop.

"What are you doing...here?"Liam asked completely ignoring me. The confusion on his face probably mirrored mine. But then his face quickly changed to anger and he stormed the few feet it took to get to his dad? I guess.

"You had something to do with this right!?" he shouted. I wasn't sure if I should intervene or leave it alone. His dad pushed him off and stepped back. "Liam, I did something bad I-"

"What do you mean? To Lisa?" Liam asked cutting him off. He was just about ready to attack him again. The look on his Dads face said it all. "You were the one that touched my little sister?" I asked storming towards him.

It was only then that I realized the gun in his hand and nearly fainted. "What did you do?" I asked, my voice cracking. A single tear fell from his face. "It wasn't me okay? It was all your mother. She came up with the entire plan and she shot him-"

"Shot who?" I asked cutting him off. I didn't know if he was talking about Jason or Jacob and I swear my heart started to skip every other beat. "Answer the question!" Liam shouted when he didn't say anything.

"Who was it? Jason or Jacob!?" I shouted. I was desperate and he wasn't answering fast enough. "No, not any of them. They are fine. They took Lisa to the hospital. T- they left about 15 minutes ago," he said. After hearing that Liam quickly left.

I swallowed hard and took a deep breath. "So none of my brothers were shot?" I asked just to make sure. He shook his head quickly. "And Lisa...?"

"She wasn't doing too good..." he trailed off. I needed to get there right now. Without another word I left the living room and went to get Justin, who was still sobbing on the counter. I made him face me and held his shoulders. "Justin, they aren't gone. They are at the hospital now okay? They aren't gone," I repeated.

After a few seconds of taking in that information, Justin hugged me and I hugged him back. This was by far the scariest day of my entire life.

~Overprotective~

Hello, people of the Wattpad. Here is another chapter. I know it took long but I was really struggling on how to write this one since its like...one of the most important chapters in my book and I really didn't want to mess it up.

I wanted to portray it as best I could and this is the end result. So I really hope you enjoyed it. To also add to that. I had school as well so I was more focused on that than writing, but I do have a 3 day weekend coming up so I am hoping to update around that time. No guarantees tho lol.

Anyway, you know what to do and until next time...
