Dylan's POV
"Alright we are going to ask you to wait there until our dispatch arrives," the officer on the other end of the line said. I agreed and ended the call.
Right after I left our house I went down the street to call the police. I was still a little clueless as to what exactly was going on, but all I did know and all I could focus on was that Lisa was missing.
No one knew where she was, and that was the scariest part of this entire situation. I know the officer on the call said for me to wait where I was, but I couldn't. I couldn't just sit here whiles my baby sister was somewhere around here probably scared for her life.
So I started driving around the neighborhood. Checking every little alleyway. Any house that seemed even the least bit suspicious. The abandoned places, anywhere.
"Can you like, try to drive fast!?" Justin asked from the seat next to me. I sucked in a deep breath to restrain myself from lunging at him. He had moved up to the passenger seat after I left and ever since he hasn't been much help.
"If I drive fast, we might miss her," I said as calmly as I could.
"Well, then I don't see why we are driving at all." he folded his arms and looked out the window. He was angry and upset, as was I. And clearly, his brain wasn't working as good as it should.
I didn't answer him and simply continued slowly driving through the different streets. We might look stalkerish right now, but I couldn't care less. My heart nearly stopped every time we saw a girl that had a similar description to Lisa.
"Right there!" Justin shouted pointing to a small girl with long dark hair. But she looked a little too young to be Lisa. The disappointment came back stronger than the last when I processed that it couldn't be her. "That's not her Justin."
He stared at the girl for a little while longer before realizing himself, that it wasn't Lisa. "The last thing I said to her was that I didn't love her, but I was only joking," he said, his voice cracking at the end. He was actually starting to cry.
"Stop," I said before he could say anything else. "Stop what?"
"Stop speaking like she is gone or something. She isn't. I'm sure we will find her, and if we don't the police will."
"You don't know that though," he mumbled. I abruptly hit the brakes and turned to face him. "Why are you acting like this? At least try to be positive." I was getting tired of him trying to take away the hope of us finding Lisa. He made it seem like....like we would never find her.
"I'm not trying to be negative. I just-I'm just," before he could even finish his sentence he burst into tears. "I'm so scared, Dylan. I don't want anything to happen to her," he continued. I stared at him sort of shocked.
Justin and I were usually always sarcastic or rude to each other. Rarely did I ever see him cry unless he was rage quitting from Fortnite. "Justin," I said, turning to face him. "I don't want anything to happen to her either, which is why the faster we look for her, the faster we can find her," I said. He didn't say anything and continued looking down. "I promise okay?" I said making him face me.
He nodded and wiped his face. "Okay, stop looking at me," he said turning his face away from me. Despite the situation, he was still worried about me seeing him cry.
We didn't say anything else as I continued to drive down the different streets. Every street we turned off of my heart sank more and more. I was getting so frustrated. It hadn't even been that long since we started looking but it felt like hours.
It also didn't help that she could be anywhere. "Wait!" Justin said suddenly looking up at me. I could still see the tear stains on his face and in any other situation, I would have laughed at him.
"What?"
"Maybe, Dad knows something. I mean we haven't seen him for a while so maybe...," he trailed off. I slowly nodded considering the thought. I would try it out. We needed to try everything.
I immediately turned around and went in the direction of our Dads house. For his sake, he better not be involved, but I had a feeling that he was. We arrived shortly and I quickly parked on the curb. I didn't even stop to turn the car off. This would be quick.
I got out and knocked on his door. I made sure to sound like the police so he would sense the urgency. Justin took over and started banging on the door consistently. Whiles, he did that I looked through the window and didn't see any movement or anything. I sighed realizing he wasn't here.
"Justin, I don't think he is here," I said walking back over to him. "Well, where else would he be? He has to be here," he said briefly looking back at me before banging on the door again. "Well he's not," I said resting my hand on his shoulder. He stopped then looked away disappointedly.
Just as we were about to leave another car pulled up, and it seemed familiar. I squinted at the driver and notice- "Is that..... Liam?" Justin voiced my thoughts. What was he doing here? He got out of the car and gave a confused look.
"What are you guys doing here?" He asked looking between Justin and I. "We could ask you the same thing," I said glaring at him. I knew I didn't like him. I never really did. What could he possibly be doing here? "I come here every weekend to drop off something for the man that lives here," he said as if it were common sense.
"You work with him, don't you? You're in this too?" I asked starting to charge at him. I knew he was playing too nice to be true.
"Woah, Woah! What are you talking about? In what!? I'm only here to drop this off like I do every weekend," he said backing up. I squinted at him, not sure whether to believe him or not. "I'm telling the truth! Who even is this guy to you?" he asked. He looked genuinely confused as to why I was ready to attack him.
"What is that?" I asked noticing the envelope in his hands. I wasn't sure I could trust him. For all, I know he could be working for Johnathan or something. He glanced down at it then looked back up at me. "Um I'm still confused as to how you guys know this guy," he said avoiding my question.
"First we need to know how you know him," Justin said. It was silent for a few seconds and we were all just looking at each other. "Look, we don't have the time for this. So how do you know him?" I asked this time with a little more force. Every second I stood here was another second wasted.
He sighed. "A while ago my Dad screwed this man over, he pretty much left him in complete debt. I don't know him or anything but I felt bad so I give him a little bit of money every week to make up for it," he explained. I glanced at Justin not sure what to think.
"So what? You just decided to give out of the kindness of your heart?" I asked. "I know, hard to believe in today's society but it's true," he said. I wanted to question him more but I didn't have the time nor patience.
"Whose your Dad?" Justin asked. Liam tensed at that and I wondered if his Dad was anything like ours. "Its a really long story, but he is definitely not a good guy- why am I being questioned so much anyway? If anything I should be questioning you," Liam said now glaring at us.
"Excuse me?" I asked. Who does he think he is? "I've known this guy for a very long time. He's almost become, my second father. So why are you here?" he asked again. I almost wanted to strangle him. I would have if I didn't have a more pressing matter at hand.
"You're second father? Well guess what Liam he is our first father and our sister was literally kidnapped about an hour ago and we are here, at our father's house hoping to find her," I said. It took him a couple of seconds to gage what I just said then his face becomes one of utter surprise.
"W-wait, Lisa was kidnapped?" he asked. I rolled my eyes and exhaled through my nose. "Don't act stupid. Did you have anything to do with this?" Justin asked. Liam's eyes nearly fell out of his socket.
"Y-you think I had something to do with Lisa being kidnapped!?" he asked. "Why would you think that?"
"Well, you are conveniently at our Fathers house the same time we are, with an envelope in your hand and you won't tell us what's in it, and you have apparently known our Father for a long time? Tell me that doesn't sound sketchy?" I said. I studied his face to see if he was going to crack and tell us the truth.
"That doesn't mean I kidnapped her!?" he said exasperatedly. "So what else does it mean!?" Justin asked. I could tell we were all getting very agitated. And standing here arguing wasn't going to find Lisa.
I held the bridge of my nose to refrain from saying anything else. "Look, we can talk about this later after we have found Lisa and she is safe. Liam nodded and Justin just went in the car. "H-how, when was she taken?" Liam asked. If anyone else was looking at him, he looked like the most confused and scared person right now, but that cant be the case.
"About an hour ago. I've already called the police and they should already be at our house now," Dylan said. "What's happening at your house?"
"I don't have time to explain this right now! I need to find Lisa," I said. I don't even know why I was standing here talking to him. "I'm coming," he said already walking to his car. I rolled my eyes and ignored him.
Getting in my car I drove off, with Liam right behind me.

Lisa POV
I don't know how long we were all just sitting here in silence. Jason had put something on my head and wrapped something else around it to help with the bleeding. I was still feeling really lightheaded but felt better now that Jason was next to me. His scent and warmth was very reassuring despite the awful situation we were in.
Mom still had the gun in her hand and the guy was just standing by the door as if he were also waiting on someone. Every once in awhile Mom would walk over to Jason and I and my heart would stop completely in fear that she would shoot one of us, but then she would turn away and start mumbling to herself words I couldn't decipher.
"Where are the police?" I heard Jason mutter for the third time already. It had been a while since the police was supposed to be here and I wondered if Dylan had even called them. Or maybe something happened to him too? There was a loud knock on the door and Mom nearly jumped out of her skin.
"Is it him?" she asked the guy. A creepy smile made its way onto his face. "It is," he said walking over to the door. I sighed a little of relief when she momentarily walked out. I shut my eyes tight as another headache came on. This time worse than the last.
"It's okay, it's okay," Jason said kissing my forehead. "Jason we need to figure something out," Jacob said from the other couch. He was still handcuffed to the table and around his wrist was starting to bruise a really dark shade of red and purple. He must have been trying to get out of them. "I know," Jason replied rubbing my arm. "She really needs to get to the hospital and the cops were supposed to be here already."
"Do you think something happened to them?" Jacob asked after a pause. "I really hope not." Jacob was about to say something but Mom walked back into the living room with the gun still in her hand.
I buried my head in Jason's side. If I could just focus on anything else but this situation that would be really good. But that would be impossible since the next voice I heard belonged to my Dad.
Forgetting that I even had a terrible headache I shot up to look at him making myself momentarily dizzy. Why was he here? He shouldn't be here. Not while mom has a gun in her hand. "Veronica what are you doing?" he asked looking around the room. I could see the immense worry on his face. He actually looked scared.
Jacob looked as shocked as ever. "You're in this too arent you?" He asked. He looked beyond mad. I looked up at Jason to see he looked exactly the same way. I could feel his hold on me tighten as Dad moved a little closer. Fear now came across Dads face and I felt even more scared. "No! Of course, not I- Let them go!" he said addressing the last part to our mom.
"No, Johnathan, not until you give me what I want. You knew what the deal was," she said. The gun was still in Moms's hand but thankfully she wasn't pointing it at anyone. "Yes, but you never said the kids would be involved."
"Actually, I did Johnathan. I just didn't tell you," the other guy said. "Look, I've got it all. It's in the car, but you have to let them go first!" Dad said. His voice cracked at the end. I have never seen him this scared in my life. Not even when he was kicked out of the house. "I'll check," the guy said and he walked out of the living room.
"Veronica...This has nothing to do with them."
"It has everything to do with them!"
"No!" I shouted as best I could when she pointed the gun at Dad. Jason turned my head so that I wasn't looking towards Mom and Dad anymore. The tears were already flowing down my face more than before. The look on her face was what scared me. She seemed so determined.
"Veronica put the gun down," Jason said in hope of changing her mind. "Shut Up!" she shouted. "This isn't something you want to do," Dad said.
"Yes, it is. You have ruined my life. You took my kids, you took everything from me."
"How did I take them? Last I checked you walked out on them."
"So did you!"
"I know and I regret that every day."
I wanted to look but Jason wouldnt let me. "It's all there," the guy said walking back inside. I heard some shuffling around and a zipper. "You sure this is enough for us to leave?" the guy asked. "Yes, it should get us far." There was the sound of the zipper again and someone leaving the living room.
"Is that what you wanted all along?" Jacob asked. "No." It was extremely silent. I was scared to even breathe. "I need to do one more thing," I screamed as the gun went off. It was silent for a few seconds. "What did you do!?" Jason shouted. I tried to see who it was that got shot but Jason was adamant on not letting me see.
My mind immediately went to Jacob as he wasn't saying anything. "I did w-what I had to do."

Here is another chapter! This one is much longer than usual to make up for being late :)
Also, I did not expect to get that many responses on my last chapter about wanting a sequel or not and I am very happy that I did cause it made the decision much easier. So as they say "Give the people what they want" I think that's how it goes, I will be writing a sequel! Thanks to all who helped in making the decision.
Also Also this book is coming near its end. I said I would give you guys at least a 5 chapter warning, so this is that warning. We have a little over 5 chapters left before the ending of this book. And I just want to say I am proud for even getting this far and glad that you guys decided to come this far with me.
Anyway, you wonderful people already know what to do so until next time...
